Naoki looked towards Miss Joy busy in the distance.
Miss Jenny continued, "However, it's not entirely the same, because some Jennys and Joys who live in tropical regions do have darker skin, possibly influenced by regional factors."
"It's remarkable."
As she spoke on this topic, Miss Jenny seemed lost in thought, "If possible, I'd rather not be like this because outsiders always mix me up with other Jennys."
Naoki: "..."
This conversation made Naoki think of Brock who traveled with Ash in the anime.
Because Brock has the ability to distinguish between every Joy and Jenny.
Gradually, the fire engulfing the back mountain completely receded, the torrential rain ceased, and the sky began to brighten.
In the morning light, Dragonite slowly descended from the sky to Naoki's side.
The surrounding firefighters brightened up at the sight of Dragonite.
"Was it this Dragonite that stopped the fire?"
"What a remarkable Dragonite!"
"It's the benefactor of Porto Marinada Town! We must properly thank it!"
Even the Water-type Pokemon showed admiring gazes.
Hence, the fire chief, representing the entire fire brigade, walked up to Dragonite and solemnly saluted it, "Thank you for your efforts, Dragonite! We truly appreciate your help this time!"
Facing so much gratitude and admiration, Dragonite felt happy yet somewhat embarrassed.
"Roar roar!"
It called out to the people twice.
The fire chief appeared puzzled and turned to look at Naoki.
Naoki smiled and explained, "It might be saying that this is what it should do, because it is also a part of this place."
"Roar!" Dragonite nodded repeatedly.
Seeing this, the tough-looking man showed a look of appreciation:
"Good Dragonite! But no matter what, we still must thank you."
"Roar~"
Now was not the time for idle chatter.
The fire had receded, leaving devastation behind.
The once lush back mountain now had only some blackened ashes, with large trees charred into soot.
The firefighters began to get busy again.
They, along with Jenny and Joy, organized personnel to venture into the back mountain to search for surviving Pokemon.
Naoki took Dragonite to watch for a while, soon seeing Pokemon being carried out on stretchers and rushed to Miss Joy's ambulance for emergency treatment.
Witnessing this scene, everyone present, both people and Pokemon, felt downhearted.
Naoki sighed and said to Koraidon and Dragonite, "Let's go!"
They couldn't be of much help here anyway, and when they had initially come out, they had disturbed many Pokemon, who must be very worried now.
With Dragonite and Koraidon, Naoki hurried back to the ranch.
As expected, upon arrival, he saw Cyclizar, the Indeedee Sibling, Glaceon, and other Pokemon anxiously waiting.
Naoki quickly stepped forward to soothe their emotions, "It's alright, don't worry."
Only then did a few Pokemon finally relax.
Naoki stroked each of their heads, just about to tell them to go to sleep, when he suddenly saw Pawmot flying over frantically from afar.
It pointed towards the Chicken House, "Paw paw!"
"Hm?" Naoki was stunned, "What's wrong?"
Without Translation Nuts, he couldn't understand Pokemon speech, but seeing Pawmot's state, could it be that a hen was taken by a weasel?
Pawmot tugged at his arm, seemingly wanting him to go take a look.
Seeing this, Naoki led a group of Pokemon to the Chicken House.
In front of the Chicken House was the river that flowed through the ranch.
At this moment, Naoki saw something being washed down by the river from upstream.
He looked closely and saw that the object wasn't debris, but a group of filthy, disheveled Pokemon!
They were flustered, floundering repeatedly in the river.
Seeing this, Naoki hurriedly instructed the Indeedee Sibling to aid them.
Both Indeedee stepped forward to stand by the river, extending their hands, while a layer of blue light appeared in their eyes.
Before the group of Pokemon were submerged by the current, a psychic power enveloped them, promptly rescuing them from the water.
Back on the shore, the Pokemon coughed violently, spitting out the water they had swallowed.
The female Indeedee tapped gently on a Greedent's back.
Naoki scanned the group of Pokemon.
Besides Greedent, there were five other Pokemon here.
Bellibolt, Grafaiai, Tinkatink, Cramorant, Tandemaus,
Each Pokemon looked so disheveled, covered in burn marks, with black stains on their faces and fur.
It was obvious that these Pokemon had escaped from the fire.
They possibly tried to hide in the river to avoid the fire, only to be swept downstream by the rushing waters.
After pondering for a moment, Naoki instructed the male Indeedee, "Go and bring some Burn Heal."
"Indeed."
The male Indeedee calmly nodded, quickly ran back to the house, and fetched several bottles of burn treatment spray from the medical kit.
Naoki approached the weak but highly alert Grafaiai and said, "Don't be afraid, I mean no harm. You're injured, and I'm here to treat you."
