Chapter 423 - Chapter 261: Returning with a Full Harvest

"I am Calyrex, you need not be afraid."

Calyrex looked down at the teapot before him, speaking in a gentle tone.

He tried to project his goodwill toward the Pokémon residing in the teapot as much as he could.

Polteageist felt a wave of warmth and cautiously lifted the lid with its head, peeking at the unfamiliar Pokémon before it.

Calyrex gave it a slight smile.

Polteageist's eyes lit up, clearly less fearful than before.

It sensed that this Pokémon meant it no harm.

Not far away, the two observers watched this scene as Mike burst out laughing:

"Looks like Polteageist really likes Calyrex! In that case, you don't have to worry. Once we get back, let Calyrex look after them, and they'll quickly adapt to their new home!"

At this moment, Calyrex had already picked up Polteageist.

Initially, Polteageist was a bit uneasy.

Naoki heard Calyrex say, "You shall accompany me for now!"

Polteageist paused for a moment and then happily agreed.

It wiggled its body, extended two pairs of purple legs from the bottom of the pot, and floated obediently beside Calyrex's grand crown, after being released from his hand.

It looked like a decorative teapot accessory that Calyrex had purchased with in-game currency.

Naoki raised an eyebrow, feeling that Polteageist surprisingly suited Calyrex.

"Now, you should take out a Poke Ball and capture them!" Mike said. "However, I'm not very familiar with them, so I can't get them to obey. You'll have to catch them yourself."

Naoki nodded; this was to be expected.

He took out two Poke Balls from his backpack and first tossed one toward the Sinistea on the table.

The Poke Ball successfully hit Sinistea, and with a click, Sinistea's small body turned into a red light, entering the Poke Ball.

The Poke Ball shook slightly a few times, then settled down. Whether this meant Sinistea had accepted him or was simply too weak to resist remained unknown.

Just like the bizarre capture methods of ancient Hisuin Region, most did not require Pokémon battles.

For example, sneaking up from behind and throwing the ball when the Pokémon is not paying attention.

Or physically fighting the Pokémon, dodging their moves, wearing them out, and quickly throwing the ball once they are exhausted.

And using various tools, including but not limited to Sticky Globs, Smoke Balls, Berries, and so on.

Naoki pondered for a moment and then put away Sinistea's Poke Ball.

Next, he walked over to Polteageist and attempted to communicate with it.

"From now on, we're going to start a new life together. I will take you to my home; it's very safe there, and no Pokémon will harm you. I can also prepare delicious black tea for you."

Polteageist looked at him with spiral eyes, seemingly trying to judge whether his words were truthful.

At this moment, Calyrex also gently nodded, "I will also go to that place with Naoki."

Polteageist pondered carefully for a while, and finally nodded.

It chose to trust this human and this Pokémon.

"Then please take care of me from now on, Polteageist!" Naoki smiled gently, holding out a Poke Ball in front of the floating Polteageist.

Polteageist gave the Poke Ball a curious glance and then tentatively reached out to touch the button.

As soon as Polteageist touched the button, its body, along with the teapot, was drawn into the Poke Ball.

The button on the Poke Ball blinked twice and then stopped.

This signified the capture was successful!

Having acquired a complete set of genuine Sinistea and Polteageist teapots, Naoki's spirits soared.

The next step was to return triumphantly to the Paldea Region!

Though he anticipated it in his heart, Mike couldn't help but extend an invitation:

"Would you consider staying in the Galar Region? If you do, I can offer you a generous annual salary."

A trainer with such skills is highly sought after anywhere, and if their company could sign someone like this,

the potential earnings were unimaginable, a perfect opportunity for their company.

Naoki naturally understood what Mike meant; he smiled and shook his head, saying, "Thank you very much for the invitation, but I prefer my current lifestyle."

Upon hearing this, Mike knew they had missed their chance.

He felt a deep sense of regret: "Are you working with the Paldea League?"

Surely, the Paldea League wouldn't miss the opportunity to recruit such a wild trainer?

However, the next moment, Mike heard an answer that he couldn't believe.

"No." Naoki shook his head. "In fact, I'm a rancher, running a ranch with my Pokémon."

What?!

Upon hearing this, Mike was stunned: "A rancher?" He must have misheard.

Naoki: "Yes, it's about raising Pokémon and growing crops to sell to big cities."

Several words flashed through Mike's mind.

Rancher, raising Pokémon, farming... isn't that just a countryside farmer?

How is this possible?!

Mike was left bewildered by the wind, but looking at the Pokémon behind the young man before him, a bold guess came to mind.
