Chapter 976 - Chapter 466: Divine Battle! Motorcycle Mask's Debut!

The sea breeze tousled Steven's silver hair.

Holding a Poke Ball, he looked calmly at the two Super Ancient Pokemon below:

"Groudon and Kyogre have already converged. Next, I'll try to stop them. Leave that side to you!"

His voice was transmitted far away through the radio headset.

Outside the distant Pacifidlog Town, Wallace stood elegantly on a large Wailord.

He gazed at the distant sea, where an ancient tower silently stood in the fog-laden waters.

The tower top ascended straight to the clouds, seemingly connecting the ocean and sky.

That was the Sky Pillar; it's said that reaching the summit would allow one to summon the legendary Sky God, Rayquaza, at the Dragon Altar.

Being from the people of Sootopolis, Wallace had always shouldered the duty of guarding the Sky Pillar.

Though they, the people of Sootopolis, weren't qualified to enter, given the current circumstances, he had to try regardless.

This was the backup plan Wallace discussed with Steven beforehand.

In case the plan to stop Team Magma and Team Aqua failed, and Groudon and Kyogre awakened unfortunately.

Steven would immediately rush to stop them, while Wallace would proceed to the Sky Pillar to seek Rayquaza, urging it to appear and let the legendary Sky God reappear to quell the terrestrial and oceanic conflict.

A myriad of thoughts surged through Wallace's mind, but the cold sea wind mixed with drizzle brought him back to reality.

"I understand, Champion." Wallace detected the gravity in Steven's tone and, as usual, attempted to enliven the mood with a light voice.

But it didn't work that well.

Because Groudon and Kyogre had already begun their first round of conflict.

Great power caused the world to overturn, with massive tsunamis soaring skyward, prompting Steven's helicopter to rise rapidly to avoid being capsized by towering waves.

Steven nearly fell due to an untimely dodge, but fortunately, he clutched the side handle to stabilize himself.

Hearing the commotion, Wallace ceased joking and spoke rapidly:

"I'm setting off. Hang in there, Steven!"

"Hmm."

After ending communication, Wallace took a deep breath before addressing the Wailord beneath him:

"Wailord, we should go!"

"Growl!"

The world resounded with a peculiar yet heavy hum.

Then the Wailord beneath Wallace surged its massive tail fin, heading toward the distant Sky Pillar.

"Mr. Steven, are you alright?!"

The stabilized helicopter pilot quickly glanced at Steven behind him.

Steven shook his head, looking at Groudon and Kyogre who were continuously colliding below, while reports of the current situation across the Hoenn Region came through the headset.

Downpours, tsunamis, scorching Drought seemed to intensify alongside the battle between the two Legendary Pokemon!

Some regions even experienced extreme weather where torrential rain would fall one moment, and in the next, the air temperature skyrocketed to over forty degrees.

If Groudon and Kyogre continued fighting, the resultant shockwaves would soon inflict devastating blows on the entire Hoenn Region!

They must be stopped!

With this thought, Steven ceased observing and chose to join the divine battle as a third party.

He tossed two Poke Balls.

Amid three flashes of white light, a Skarmory and a Metagross appeared beneath the helicopter.

Steven leapt onto Skarmory, turning back to the helicopter pilot:

"You leave here first and seek refuge!"

The pilot hesitated slightly: "But, but..."

"No buts!" Steven frowned, out of time!

The pilot anxiously looked at their Champion, then nodded forcefully: "Yes! I'll leave everything to you then!"

Upon saying this, the helicopter took off.

Steven rode Skarmory into the battlefield between Groudon and Kyogre.

"Metagross, Flash Cannon!"

"Growl!"

A powerful beam erupted swiftly from Metagross, condensing countless rays into a robust beam aimed at Kyogre, which had leapt from the sea.

"Boom!"

Tremendous power caught Kyogre off guard, its colossal body crashing back into the ocean.

Groudon then noticed the human intervening in their domain struggle.

With an ancient roar, countless magma energy surged from its body into the earth vein, manifesting as giant stone pillars erupting forth.

"Boom boom boom boom boom!"

Metagross keenly noticed this scene, alarms blared in its mind, and it immediately reacted, speeding forward.

Massive stone pillars continuously emerged from behind, at a remarkable rate!

"Metal Claw!"

Steven's voice came from high above, and Metagross trusted its Trainer unconditionally from beginning to end.

Upon hearing the command, it swiftly swung its metal claw.

In the next second, a massive stone pillar that protruded before it shattered into several pieces.

"Growl..."

Precipice Blades finally halted as Groudon's golden eyes stared at Metagross.

Just when Metagross stopped to pause briefly, a giant shadow unexpectedly appeared beneath the ocean surface.
