Chapter 984 - Chapter 468: After That (Start of the Month—Vote Request)

Looking across, the entire ranch is surrounded by wooden fences, and a small river cuts through the middle.

Large fields lie by the river, the crops are growing well and seem ready for harvest soon.

On the other side, an orchard is situated next to a barn and a few other buildings, where a few Miltank and chickens are grazing on the pasture.

A stone bridge connects to the other side of the river, where another orchard stands, facing what looks like a park, and under a large tree, a fluffy Snorlax is lying down.

Nearby on a small hill, a group of fluffy, round sheep Pokémon are leisurely sunbathing.

This must be Naoki Ranch.

"Naoki is really a rancher!"

Steven felt incredibly amazed by everything he saw.

The rancher who caught Giratina, such facts are hard to believe.

Just at this moment, the pilot in front was about to land but suddenly saw many Dragonite flying across in front of the plane.

The pilot couldn't help but exclaim.

Hearing this, Steven looked out and saw several Dragonite with backpacks curiously staring at the private plane they were on.

"Mr. Steven, what should we do?"

Surrounded by so many Dragonite, the pilot was quite nervous, especially since one of the Dragons with a scarred face looked at him with an eye that made him shiver.

"Don't worry, they mean no harm." Steven calmly said, "Just land normally."

"Yes!"

The pilot, under the pressure from the Dragonite, slowly landed the private plane on a piece of open land.

Just as Steven disembarked with two suitcases, he saw ahead a tall man in a blue work outfit standing on the grass.

Several Pokémon stood beside the man.

There's a Butterfree, Dragonite, Cyclizar, Pawmot, and one unfamiliar Pokémon.

Steven had never seen such a Pokémon.

It has a crimson body, a pair of golden eyes, colorful feathered adornments on its head, exuding a wild aura all over.

"Finally meeting you, Mr. Steven." Naoki laughed gently, greeting the silver-haired man before him.

Steven snapped out of his daze, "Hello, Mr. Naoki."

Then, Steven turned to the pilot and said, "You can go to the town for a rest, I'll contact you when we head back."

"Yes!"

The pilot responded and took off in the plane.

Watching this scene, Naoki thought indeed, he's not just any young master of Devon Company.

Steven Stone, the famous heir in the Pokémon World!

However, Steven himself was quite humble, so Naoki invited, "Come in and have a seat!"

"Thanks for the trouble."

Steven replied courteously, and then followed Naoki into the living room carrying the two suitcases.

He placed the cases by the sofa and said to Naoki, "These are gifts my father prepared for you as thanks, please accept them."

Naoki was slightly taken aback, then smiled and shook his head, "No need to prepare gifts, we just went over to help."

But Steven shook his head, "But the calamity in Hoenn was stopped thanks to your intervention, in any case, the Hoenn League should express gratitude to you."

And as the Champion of Hoenn League, he came especially to convey his thanks.

However, Steven didn't inform the other members of Hoenn League about Naoki's real identity.

Because judging from Naoki's mask-wearing behavior, he seemed to prefer keeping his identity hidden.

If he didn't know the whole story, Steven thought he'd never believe the hero who saved Hoenn was actually a rancher living in the countryside.

Hearing this, Naoki grinned without continuing the topic, instead asking:

"Is everything in Hoenn okay now?"

Steven nodded, "Thanks to your intervention, Groudon and Kyogre's impact on Hoenn was minimized, except for some towns near oceans and volcanos, other cities have smoothly resumed operations."

"That's good." Naoki said.

He turned around and took out two Treasure Pearls from the cabinet, placing them in front of Steven.

These were the Red Orb and Blue Orb, previously returned by Teddiursa.

"Now that the matter is settled, these Treasure Pearls should be returned to their rightful owners." Naoki said.

However, Steven shook his head, "We are not their owners."

Naoki was slightly stunned.

Steven continued, "To be precise, these Treasure Pearls belong to Groudon and Kyogre."

During previous investigations, he found related information in some ancient texts.

Whether it's the Red Orb or Blue Orb, both are part of Groudon and Kyogre's original power.

A long time ago, they lost these orbs for unknown reasons until humans stumbled upon them.

Thinking of this, Steven made a request, "Mr. Naoki, please continue to keep these Treasure Pearls with you!"

Naoki looked surprised, "Hmm?"

Steven revealed his concern, "I fear one day someone might use these Treasure Pearls again to awaken Groudon and Kyogre."

"And now, only my friend and I in the whole Hoenn know the Pearls are with you, this way we don't have to worry they will fall into the wrong hands in the future."
