Chapter 1018 - Chapter 483: Land Acquisition (Part 2)

"Perhaps it's because many farmers in Paldea are devoted to Calyrex The King of Bountiful Harvests?" The High Priest of the Cult of Calyrex began his sermon again.

Sure enough, the man in front was drawn to the topic.

"Calyrex? Is that the Legendary Pokemon that can go online?"

"That's right, it's truly amazing that there are Pokemon in the world that can use human devices." Naoki pretended to be a mere passerby, speaking with a straight face.

"Pokemon are quite intelligent; my Charizard watches movies with me." The man patted Charizard on the head.

The Charizard snorted out a flame, excitedly responding to its Trainer.

Both Pokemon flew swiftly, and before long, a lush island appeared on the distant sea.

A volcano stood on the island, surrounded by abundant vegetation.

Seeing this, the man said, "We've arrived! This is Akala Island! I remember the location of the ranch... near Paniola Town!"

As they reached their destination, Charizard began to descend.

Naoki and Koraidon followed closely, and after passing through a thick meadow, they saw a quaint town with a strong western style.

The town was small, with primitive dirt roads between them, filled with the flavor of Western cowboys.

Naoki even felt as if a cowboy in a jacket would charge down the road at any moment, firing shots at another gang.

However, fortunately, his imagination did not come true. The two continued forward, soon leaving the town and flying further into the field.

Gradually, everything around them became spacious. As far as the eye could see, a vast plain came into view.

Fertile pasture grew on the plain, and a small river meandered through it.

Not far away, a fenced ranch lay on this plain.

"We're here; this is it!"

The man landed with Charizard in the ranch, followed closely by Naoki and Koraidon.

"The owner of this ranch is a young person who moved with their family to the Kalos Region not long ago. They intend to sell the place for 2 million League Coins."

2 million...

This large piece of land along with the villa is actually not very expensive.

"I'll take a look around first." Naoki said, showing expertise in this area.

"No problem." The man nodded.

Naoki took a tour of the ranch, discovering complete facilities.

The barns for Miltank, enclosures for Mareep, stables for Mudbray, lodging for Pokemon like Lillipup.

Naoki knew, such places typically use Pokemon like Lillipup to guard the ranch.

Additionally, there's an open field for Tauros to run around.

At first sight of the field, Naoki was impressed.

"It's said that the previous owner raised fifty Tauros here, and they run around the field daily; it's quite a sight!" The man introduced, looking at the field.

Naoki nodded, surveyed the surroundings, and asked, "What about farmland? Is there suitable farming land here?"

"Farmland? Of course there is." The man led Naoki to a large area of neglected land: "However, due to the climate of the Alola region, some crops from other regions aren't suitable for planting here."

"Locals in Alola typically grow crops and fruit trees like coconut trees, guavas, mangoes, bananas, pineapples, coffee beans, and sugarcane."

Coffee beans can be made into coffee, sugarcane can be processed into sugar; these Alola specialties often get sold to other regions.

Naoki nodded thoughtfully.

The Alola Region has a typical tropical marine monsoon climate, with small annual temperature differences, warm and humid throughout the year, abundant rainfall.

All of this allows for lush plant growth here, with wild trees mainly consisting of palm species and tree-like ferns.

Having finished the outdoor tour, next up would be checking out the villa.

Though called a villa, it wasn't very large.

The house had three stories, much bigger than Naoki's current residence.

Its internal features were complete: living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, guest room, study, wine cellar, and an oversized bathroom.

Naoki nodded in satisfaction.

"This is it."

After deciding, the two returned to Melemele Island.

The distances between islands in the Alola region aren't far, and even riding a regular flying Pokemon can cover them within twenty minutes, let alone fast Pokemon like Charizard and Dragonite.

Naoki paid the money, then got the land deed and property certificate.

From now on, that piece of land and the ranch belonged to him!

With the certificate, Naoki looked around, ready to bring back some gifts for the Pokemon at the ranch.

The Alola region has many specialties, the most famous being an oil-fried bread called Malasada.

Naoki and Koraidon bought several large bags from a roadside shop to take back to the Pokemon at the ranch.

Additionally, he bought some tropical fruits like coconuts and pineapples, which are rare in the Paldea region.
