Youyu had a Black Magician and three Set Cards on the field, while Jonouchi had The Fiend Megacyber and Time Wizard.
With a Black Magician on the field, Time Wizard's ability was essentially sealed (or so Jonouchi thought). After all, the last time he used Time Magic on Yugi's Black Magician, it not only wasn't destroyed but evolved instead, leaving him with unforgettable memories of that duel...

Mystical Space Typhoon was also one of Jonouchi's signature Divine Cards, often credited for helping him win many duels in the DM anime.
