Chapter 614 - Chapter 582: Borrowing AIBO for a Few Days

Finally found it!

The process of seeking the Name of the King in the animation is a hidden side quest in this memory sandbox. The key to unraveling this plot is a fat guy named Bobasha, with a round belly dressed in Arab apparel.

In the anime, Yugi and his friends completed the prerequisite task at this NPC, who then led them to the hidden tomb in the Memory World map, where they found the true name of Dark Yugi.

Heart Flying with the Wind has been specifically researching online, reviewing the anime, and recalling the original plot flow these days. After several days of running the map, he finally found the task NPC named Bobasha, and successfully discovered the location of the mysterious tomb under the NPC's guidance upon completing the task.

But the critical problem now is, he can't freaking get in...

He's already been wiped out once by Bakura's Evil God, and twice by the traps while attempting to enter the tomb; his three revival attempts are all used up. If he dies once more, this King's Memory plot will likely be irrelevant to him.

Heart Flying with the Wind is now cluelessly staring at the tomb entrance, and can only ask for help on the forum.

Players are aware that the "Name of the King" is the ultimate item in this Egyptian chapter of the RPG game. Heart Flying with the Wind's post instantly stirred a sensation, quickly pushed to the hot search.

The remaining players in the Royal Palace are eager, preparing to raid this hidden tomb.

The more inaccessible the place, the stronger their desire to conquer it.

Everyone fantasizes about being the first to get in.

But Youyu doesn't intend to give them that chance.

Players' revival attempts are relatively precious; if a goofball dies three times, they're basically out of this main storyline, leaving one less reusable cannon fodder for their camp.

Exhausting all their revival chances might not even guarantee clearing the tomb, it's simply too uneconomical.

There's a better approach.

Youyu casually assigned the goofballs an important task, arranging for them to stay at the Royal Palace as backup for now. Then he directly approached the king, saying he had a proposal.

Dark Yugi also knew that their RPG's current big success was primarily thanks to Youyu—if Youyu hadn't been around, he suspected he might have been incredibly passive, and who knows how many pieces of the Millennium Items would have been lost by now—so his favorable impression of Youyu had increased considerably.

Dark Yugi nodded readily, saying everyone's partners now shouldn't feel reserved, any suggestions can be freely expressed.

So Youyu cut straight to the point; he didn't dilly-dally: he wanted to borrow his AIBO for a few days...

"Why the AIBO?" he asked.

"Ah, it's about your true name." Youyu explained, "I have a bit of a lead, but... well... let's say I've hit a bit of a snag, might need Yugi's help."

But this ambiguous explanation obviously left Dark Yugi somewhat puzzled. He wanted to say something but was interrupted by Yugi: "Then let me go, my other self."

"AIBO?"

"Because even if I stay here, I can't really do much." Yugi chuckled honestly, "So far, it's pretty much been Youyu helping you; honestly, we've hardly contributed."

"That's not true." Dark Yugi shook his head quickly, "AIBO and everyone being here with me is already the biggest help to me."

"Hmm, but I think it's still not enough." Yugi said seriously, "If it's an RPG game, then collecting clues, doing quests to gather items is definitely a necessary step."

Jonouchi agreed: "What Yugi says makes sense too, if we go along with Youyu, we might be able to help even more."

"I also want to help the other Yugi." Anzu chimed in.

She paused, then smiled: "Besides, our bonds won't change because of distance. Even if we're far apart, we are still partners who can rely on each other."

She held up her pale white hand.

This is the agreement among Yugi, Jonouchi, Honda, and Anzu. On the back of their hands, they've each drawn a part of a design with invisible ink, the design on their hands together forms a complete smiling face.

That would be the proof of their bonds, never disappearing regardless of how long, or how far apart they are.

"...Alright then." Dark Yugi nodded, "Take care."

Meanwhile, he turned to Youyu: "I leave them in your care too."

Youyu agreed, but at the same time felt a bit odd. Because the king's serious expression and reaction reminded him of the emoji "Don't worry, I'll take care of your wife and kids" when he responded...

Thus, bringing along Yugi and his few buddies, Youyu immediately set off from the Royal Palace, heading to the coordinates Heart Flying with the Wind sent over.

Before departure, the people at the Royal Palace specially arranged a grand banquet to bid them farewell.

Although everyone feels these outsiders are quite odd in behavior and attire, sometimes saying incomprehensible things, and frequently missing court etiquette, everyone could see the deep, excellent relationship between the Pharaoh and these people, and so neither the priests nor the generals dared object, and treated them with great respect.

Maybe some player had loose lips, telling little Mana that Youyu and the team were off to help the Pharaoh with something big. The little girl got very excited, insisted on tagging along, saying she wants to help the Prince.

Mahad was furious, scolding her endlessly.

Seeing the poor girl hang her head, tugging at her dress hem, Youyu thought of his own magic girl, and helped speak a word for her before leaving.

"If she wants to help, it wouldn't hurt to let her tag along." Youyu said to Mahad.

Mahad hesitated: "But she lacks skill and tends to cause trouble, might unnecessarily burden you on the journey..."

Mana immediately got anxious: "I... I do practice diligently, Master! And I'll be obedient, won't cause trouble! If I screw up... you can spank me!"

Hmm? Is there such a good deal?

Cough, obviously Youyu is a gentleman, and doesn't have his focus on that.

"Master always has to let go at some point." Youyu said, "If you never give your disciple an opportunity, she will never stand on her own."

Can't just wait until you're buried to hope your disciple suddenly becomes enlightened, right?

...Wait, with Dark Magician Girl it might actually work.

"Alright then." Mahad sighed, nodding, "Since Lord Youyu is willing to bring you with them, you may go. But remember not to cause any trouble, don't..."

"Great!"

Unfortunately, Mana clearly didn't hear the rest of her master's words.
