Chapter 883 - Chapter 835: The Lobster Joins the Battle Personally

"'Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior's effect!" Yugi shouted, "Once per turn, by banishing a 'Magnet Warrior' from the graveyard, I can destroy a card on the field!

I banish 'Alpha The Magnet Warrior' from the graveyard to destroy the set card in the backfield!"

But Tragoedia immediately shouted, "Flip Cover Card! Continuous Trap 'Fiendish Chain'!"

The trap flipped, and the magical chains, accompanied by the sound of metal piercing through the air, flew out, tightly binding Yugi's Electromagnet Warriors. The sword that was poised to strike was pulled back forcefully, rendering it completely immobile.

"Monsters bound by 'Fiendish Chain' cannot attack, change position, and their monster effects are negated," Tragoedia said.

At least this managed to neutralize the most troublesome card destruction ability of the Electromagnet Warrior, ensuring he wouldn't be completely defenseless against the relentless bombardment.

However, the crisis facing the little crawfish had not yet been resolved.

His Life Points were at 3400, while Yugi still had the 3500 attack point 'Valkyrion the Magna Warrior' ready to attack.

This would be the decisive strike!

"Battle!" Yugi ordered directly without any hesitation, "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior, direct attack!"

The Magnet Warrior brandished its sword and leaped forward, leaving a bluish trail of electricity in the air, the sword's light like a bolt of blue lightning!

Boom!!!

An undeniable hit, the sword of the Electromagnet Warrior struck true on Tragoedia, the abstract silhouette formed by dark miasma distorted like a screaming demon.

However...

[Tragoedia, LP 3900]

Yugi's gaze flickered slightly.

So it's still standing after all that?

Tragoedia breathed lightly, raised his head to look at Yugi, and smirked.

"Trap Card 'Super Strength-Enhancing Z'. When receiving more than 2000 battle damage, it recovers 4000 Life Points once before damage calculation."

"I see, so not only did it block the attack, but it also restored Life Points," Yugi said.

After a pause, he said, "At the time, Duel King Youyu told me to be careful, saying the opponent might be powerful... it seems that's indeed the case. Even as an enemy, I must admit your strength is quite rare."

"That's what I should be saying." Tragoedia wiped his mouth, "I underestimated you, Duel King Muto Yugi. I assumed no true strong warriors could emerge among the frail humans, but it seems I thought too simply.

In the endless span of my three thousand years, I've rarely encountered an opponent as strong as you..."

Maybe Tragoedia was trying to act tough, deliberately or unintentionally emphasizing "I've lived for three thousand years and you're just a bug," essentially trying to show off by playing the age card after not gaining the upper hand in the duel.

But the ignorant youngsters gave no face to this elder. Yugi, perplexed, said on the spot, "But I've heard from Youyu that you spent those three thousand years in a sealed state, sleeping?"

Tragoedia: "..."

"And he said that back then, your heart was taken by Winged Kuriboh, and you were sealed before encountering the Pharaoh..."

"Aaaaahhhhh!!!"

Whether out of shame or anger, the little crawfish bellowed furiously.

I'm so mad!

Damn it, when he gets hold of the power of the Three Phantasm, he has to take out that damn Duel King Youyu!

Why can't he keep his mouth shut? Doesn't he know some things are better left unsaid?

He seriously suspected that if he let that Duel King continue, soon the whole world might know of his embarrassing black history!

Thinking of this, Tragoedia couldn't help but feel a surge of anger, glaring at Muto Yugi with a more sinister and fierce look.

This duel... he must win!

He must seize the Three Phantasm and take down these damned Duel Kings to conquer the world...

...and then eliminate anyone who has heard of his black history!

The fury seemed to transform into palpable darkness, erupting from Tragoedia's body like a flood from a breached dam!

It was as if all evil and negative emotions suddenly found a vessel, exploding forth in a visibly dark form. The miasma brazenly floated in mid-air, twisting in shape, like something struggling desperately within a swamp, trying to form some abstract figure.

A pair of thin, narrow eyes lit up, the swamp appearing as if it were adhering to the shell of some enormous entity, forming an abstract shape. Those eyes gleamed with a yellowish light, like a demon peering through the rift in Hell.

The moment that thing appeared, Yugi felt an unparalleled shiver.

Different from the majestic creatures like Blue-Eyes White Dragon or even the Egyptian Gods, this entity felt like the compendium of all things evil, a form birthed from the vessel of ultimate emotions like despair, fear, and wrath.

Tragoedia, Summon!

"I, 'Tragoedia', can be special summoned directly from the hand when taking battle damage."

Tragoedia's voice was low and hoarse, vibrating as he spoke, indescribably eerie.

"So this is... your true form," Yugi murmured.

"My own attack power is determined by the number of cards in my hand, but I currently have 1 card, so my attack power is only 600."

[Tragoedia, Attack Power 600]

Yet even so, Tragoedia's 'power' was already amplified to the extreme the moment his true form appeared.

The average duelist might not even be able to face him in a normal duel.

"My turn, draw! Magic Card 'Graceful Charity', draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from the hand."

In one swift motion, he laid down two cards.

"I set a card on the field, then activate the Magic Card 'Card of Demise'! Draw from the deck until the hand is filled with five cards! However, all cards in hand must be discarded during the fifth turn's standby phase."

Yugi frowned slightly, "'Tragoedia's attack power is determined by the number of cards in hand..."

"That's right, so my own attack power increases accordingly!"

[Tragoedia, Attack Power 600 → Attack Power 3000]

After a pause, he smirked sinisterly, "You must be thinking that with my attack power, I can neither defeat your 'Valkyrion' nor 'Berserkion', right?"

Yugi: "..."

"Then let me show you the ability I possess!" Tragoedia shouted, "My own special effect! Once per turn, by discarding a monster card in my hand, I can take control of an opponent's monster with the same level!"

Yugi was taken aback, "An effect that gains control over monsters?"

This ability aligns well with the behavior of Tragoedia in the original manga.

In the GX manga, Tragoedia's primary sinister tactic was mental control. He manipulated a large number of powerful duelists as his pawns to invade Duel Academy, sometimes infiltrating their minds without anyone knowing simply through a card slipped into their deck.

This ability reflected in a duel clearly makes him the master of mind control NTR.

"I send the level eight 'Dark Invader' from my hand to the graveyard, activating my own effect!"

Tragoedia wore an expression of fervor, evidently excited and eager to seize Yugi's monsters.

"Become my servant! 'Valkyrion the Magna Warrior'!"
