"Then it's my turn, draw card."
Youyu glanced at the card he drew and added it to his hand, then drew another card from his hand.
"Summon 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman'.
A deep blue stream of water surged, and the hero clad in blue armor leapt onto the field, surrounded by swirling water currents.
"Bubbleman's effect," Youyu said, "when successfully summoned while there are no other cards on the field, draw two cards from the deck." (Anime effect)
"Flip Cover Card," Fraulein raised her little hand, "Counter Trap 'Vampire's Domination'. When a Vampire is on your field, you can negate the activation of the opponent's Spell, Trap, or Monster Effect and destroy it!"
Just like the last turn, the trap's bloody power directly pierced through Bubbleman's armor, shattering it from the inside out.
"And, I can recover life points equal to the attack value of 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman'."
[Vampire Fraulein, LP 100 → LP 900]
Though not much, it was enough to pull her a bit further from the brink of death.
And so, Youyu had used up his only Normal Summon opportunity this turn, and the field remained empty. Bubbleman's effect didn't succeed, so Youyu couldn't replenish his hand, and the field was still barren. This summon seemed meaningless...
...Well, not entirely meaningless.
"Then I activate the Magic Card 'The Shallow Grave,' both players select one monster from their graveyard and Special Summon it to the field in face-up Defense Position." (Anime effect)
Youyu revealed a card from his graveyard: "I summon 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman'."
The card hit the table, and Bubbleman leapt onto the field amidst the flowing water.
[Elemental Hero Bubbleman, Defense 1200]
"Then I Special Summon 'Vampire Grimson,' in Defense Position," Fraulein said.
[Vampire Grimson, Defense 1400]
"Bubbleman's effect," Youyu said, "when summoned or Special Summoned while there are no other cards on the field, draw two cards from the deck."
Fraulein frowned slightly, "At this moment, the effect of 'Vampire Voivode' in my graveyard activates. When the opponent Special Summons a monster from the graveyard, you can use your two monsters on the field as Tribute to Special Summon itself from the graveyard."
She pointed to her field.
"I offer 'Shadow Vampire' and 'Vampire Scarlet Scourge' as the Tribute to resurrect 'Vampire Voivode' from the graveyard!"
With an entirely different aura, the towering male vampire emerged as if walking out of the depths of Hell. He was dressed in luxury, with a fiery red cloak, and a chilling smile lingered on his face.
[Vampire Voivode, Attack 2800]
Vampire Voivode? Youyu's eyes flickered slightly.
That really is a troublesome thing.
But it's okay.
"Then activate the Magic Card 'Miracle Fusion' from my hand!"
Seeing the Magic Card appearing amidst the light, Fraulein's eyelids twitched slightly.
It's that card again?
"Exclude 'Vision Hero Increase' from my graveyard and 'Elemental Hero Bubbleman' from the field for Fusion!
The Fusion conditions are, 'Hero' monster plus any Water attribute monster! Fusion Summon!
Born from the abyss of extreme cold—
——Elemental Hero Absolute Zero!!!"
The phantoms of black and water-blue heroes merged into the swirling vortex; the wave of ice crystals erupted, and the hero with absolute control over frigid temperatures reappeared.
[Elemental Hero Absolute Zero, Attack 2500]
"Useless," Fraulein said, "in the face of my vampires, this hero is powerless."
"That might not be true; maybe the hero's power hasn't truly been unleashed?" Youyu smiled, then revealed another card in his hand, "Quick-Play Magic 'Mask Change'!
Send the 'Hero' monster on the field to the graveyard to Special Summon the corresponding attribute Masked Hero.
I send the Water attribute 'Elemental Hero Absolute Zero' to the graveyard, Masked Transformation!!!"
Youyu raised his right hand high, and the transformation special effects enveloped the icy hero. The wave of ice crystals transformed into a brand-new form, one piece after the other covered onto the hero's body.
The dazzling light effects transformed into blue tight-fitting armor, both lightweight and solid, clinging to the body like skin. Then energy transformed into a red armor plate protecting the heart, and the hero's eyes were covered by a fiery red visor, his gaze sharp as a knife.
Masked Hero Acid, summon!!!
"Acid!" a player immediately exclaimed excitedly.
"Big Brother Acid!"
"Bow to the Big Brother!"
Masked Hero Acid, apart from Dark Law, is recognized as the most practical and powerful Masked Hero, with the ability to sweep the field in an instant and end the game with formidable offensive power!
"At this moment, 'Elemental Hero Absolute Zero's effect activates," Youyu said, "when Absolute Zero leaves the field, destroy all monsters on your opponent's field!"
Fraulein: "I see, actively transforming into a stronger form while triggering the field-clearing ability...
...But it won't be that easy."
Vampire Fraulein pointed to the enormous creature that had just appeared: "Vampire Voivode's effect activates. Once per turn, when a monster's effect is activated, if a card with the same name as that monster exists in our graveyard, the activation is... negated!"
Youyu nodded slightly: "My Absolute Zero is in the graveyard..."
"Exactly," Vampire Fraulein said, "so according to Voivode's effect, Absolute Zero's own effect activation is negated!"
Voivode maintained his eerie smile, lightly raised his hand, and snapped his fingers. Absolute Zero's power was instantly bound, and the realm of ice crystals shattered in an instant.
It appears that this effect is actually quite effective against Absolute Zero. Because Absolute Zero's effect itself must activate in the graveyard, and in that case, it will be negated by Voivode no matter what.
"Nicely defended." Youyu smiled, "But my effect resolution isn't over yet."
Fraulein lightly bit her white teeth, the tips of her vampiric fangs showing beneath her pale, translucent lips.
"Next is 'Masked Hero Acid's effect." Youyu raised his hand, "When successfully Special Summoned, all Spells and Traps on the opponent's field are destroyed!"
Vampire Fraulein: "!"
The other vampires instantly became unsettled.
"Hey, hey, doesn't this mean everything is destroyed now!?"
"The form before transformation can destroy monsters, the form after transformation targets the back row... How do you defend against such a monster!?"
The highly corrosive acid water swept across Fraulein's back row, sweeping away the remaining set card along the way.
Trap Card - Dimensional Prison, capable of excluding attacking monsters directly from play in an instant during the opponent's attack declaration, is a powerful trap.
Unfortunately, it never got the chance to be triggered.
And that's still not all.
"Moreover, just at the moment Acid's effect takes effect," Youyu smiled, "the 'Elemental Hero Absolute Zero', which was absorbed and equipped by your 'Vampire Lady', is also destroyed.
Since that's also my monster, naturally, it returns to my graveyard when destroyed."
Youyu revealed the destroyed 'Absolute Zero', smiling confidently.
"So, I don't need to say what will happen next, do I?"
Fraulein bit her lip: "All my monsters will be... destroyed..."
"Correct," Youyu snapped his fingers, "the moment Elemental Hero Absolute Zero leaves the field, the opponent's monsters...
...will all be destroyed!"
Vampire Fraulein's face turned grim.
"Wait, if we can use Voivode's effect again..." a vampire shouted nearby.
"Vampire Voivode's effect, once per turn." Youyu said, "So even if you want to negate this effect, it's not possible.
So everything will disappear for me—
——Absolute Zero (Absolute Zero)!"
The cold wave swept through, covering the entire field. Vampire Lady, Vampire Voivode, and Vampire Fraulein, everything turned into ice crystals in the endless ice wave, finally shattering into dazzling brilliance.
"Now it's over." Youyu said, "Masked Hero Acid, direct attack."
Masked Hero leaped high, his tremendous jumping power propelling him into mid-air, where he became suspended. He gripped his gun with both hands, the black muzzle pointing downwards at Fraulein, with water swirling like a vortex at the gun tip.
The gun fired, and the impact surrounded by pale blue energy spiraled downward. The massive energy exploded on the ground, nearly drowning out the cries of the surrounding vampires.
The girl was blasted into the air, feeling so light she could barely sense herself.
[Vampire Fraulein, LP 900 → LP 0]
