Cherreads

Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Little Sun and Kurenai Pepper

Before Mokgetsu were three Scrolls. He opened them one by one; the first Scroll contained money. Mokgetsu counted: a total of 200,000 ryo.

Mokgetsu put the money away. Money, no matter the world, is always abundantly desired.

Ninja also have high expenses, whether it's for various Ninja Tools or the Secret Medicines needed for cultivation, they all cost a lot.

Next, he opened the second Scroll, which was a C-rank Ninjutsu, Fire Release: Flame Bomb.

This was a Ninjutsu Mokgetsu hadn't drawn yet, but he had already mastered many Fire Releases, both large-scale and flexible ones, and didn't need to waste time practicing this Flame Bomb.

Mokgetsu picked up the last Scroll and opened it. This was Danzo's response to his report.

Danzo first praised Mokgetsu's work completion, for quickly becoming an excellent teacher and receiving praise from the Third, so he was satisfied, giving a reward and hoping Mokgetsu...

Skipping Danzo's manipulative paragraphs, Mokgetsu directly looked at Danzo's requests.

"Become Sarutobi Asuma's tutor, gain his trust, and become someone he respects." This was Danzo's response to Mokgetsu's report.

Mokgetsu put away the Ninjutsu Scroll and then burned the other two Scrolls.

Even though he wouldn't practice it, after all, it was freeloaded from Danzo, burning it seemed a bit wasteful.

"That old rascal Danzo still hasn't given up on the Hokage position," Mokgetsu remarked.

It was quite clear Danzo had some thoughts about the Third's younger son.

But Mokgetsu didn't mind; at most, he'd spend a few hours over the weekends; it wouldn't affect him much.

"Should I sell the house in the Main Konoha District," Mokgetsu thought of something.

The original owner naturally didn't live near the sparsely populated southern forest from the start. In fact, he had a house in the Main Konoha District; it was left to him by his parents.

But to conceal his identity, he only set up a house in the southern forest.

Even though he didn't live in it much, the original owner would return to clean the house in the Main District once a year.

Thinking he didn't live there, Mokgetsu thought he might as well sell it. He remembered the house's location was pretty good; it might be worth a lot of money, which he could use to buy Secret Medicines for cultivation.

Although he had the system's help, any improvement he could make himself was worthwhile.

With this in mind, Mokgetsu got up and went to the Main Konoha District to check out the house and clean it up a bit, prepping it for sale.

Following the original owner's memory, Mokgetsu found the house. Just as he was about to use the key to enter, a blonde figure walked out from the neighboring house.

"Hello, are you the new resident?" Namikaze Minato called out curiously.

He had bought this house several months ago and this was the first time he had seen someone enter the house on the right. Namikaze Minato thought a new neighbor had moved in.

As Mokgetsu turned around, Namikaze Minato looked at the blonde hair and blue eyes and instantly recalled having met Mokgetsu previously in the library.

It wasn't that he had superhuman memory remembering everyone he met, but Minato also had blonde hair and blue eyes. Combined with Mokgetsu's gentle smile, it gave Minato the impression of meeting another version of himself, so the impression was strong.

"No, this is my house, but for certain reasons, I moved out later and rarely came back," Mokgetsu smiled and greeted.

He thought, the house didn't need to be sold after all; it was nice to keep.

Earlier, he was worried about how to get to know Minato to freeload Fuinjutsu knowledge, and here it was: they were neighbors, and logically, Minato moved in later.

"Minato, I'm here to find you."

At that moment, an energetic female voice chimed in.

"Hey, Minato, you never told me you had a brother who looks quite a bit like you."

Uzumaki Kushina looked at Mokgetsu, who also had blonde hair and blue eyes with a gentle smile, and couldn't help but tease.

From the overall facial features, the two didn't really look alike, but the same dazzling blonde hair and the kind of smile indeed gave Kushina a sense of them being brothers.

"Sorry, this is my girlfriend. As you can see, she's somewhat overly lively, please forgive her." Minato spoke with an apologetic face to Mokgetsu.

"This is my neighbor…" Minato wanted to say Mokgetsu's name but realized he didn't know it yet.

"My name is Habu Mokgetsu," Mokgetsu introduced himself.

"Hello, I'm Uzumaki Kushina; you have quite a nice name," Kushina introduced herself, poking her head from behind Minato where she had hugged him.

"Hello, I'm Namikaze Minato," Minato said, smiling as he peeled Kushina off him.

"Thank you, your fiery red hair is also very beautiful," Mokgetsu replied with a compliment while opening the door.

Kushina's eyes instantly lit up, and she gave a thumbs-up, saying, "Okay, you have a good eye."

She felt Mokgetsu could speak well.

As Mokgetsu opened the door, dust settled in the cracks and began to spread.

Glancing inside, Mokgetsu found it wasn't particularly dirty, just too much dust from not having had residents for too long.

"Sorry, I'm afraid I can't entertain you now; I need to clean up first." Mokgetsu turned and said.

"Then we won't disturb you," Minato responded, leading Kushina back home upon seeing this.

Mokgetsu watched Kushina's departing figure and gave an assessment.

[Name: Uzumaki Kushina]

[Chakra: 150,000 (???)

[Potential: SS]

[Evaluation: Proficient in Fuinjutsu, possesses an enormous amount of special Chakra unattainable by ordinary people]

Mokgetsu could only say the Chakra amount was enough to make him envious, as for the Chakra with brackets and question marks, it was the first time he'd seen that.

He guessed it was because Kushina had become the Nine-tailed Jinchuriki, and the Nine-tails inside wasn't identified, hence the question mark.

Kushina's potential was a bit terrifying; double-S potential was the highest potential Mokgetsu had seen thus far.

But considering the original work, Mokgetsu speculated at least one S was from the Nine-tails inside her; without the Nine-tails, Kushina would drop to S potential.

Otherwise, with double-S potential, she wouldn't need the Nine-tails—Kushina's ordinary development would run rampant; the Third and Minato were also just S.

Mokgetsu used the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu to create ten Shadow Clones, and then had them start cleaning the house.

Mokgetsu once again marveled at Tobirama's genius for developing such a convenient Ninjutsu as the Shadow Clone.

After cleaning the house, Mokgetsu bought some daily necessities and put them inside.

He wasn't in a hurry to visit Minato's house to build rapport; he planned to stay here occasionally to naturally become friends with Minato.

He opened the window, feeling the evening breeze as he began to enrich the training plan for his disciples.

Might Guy and Obito, who didn't get first in the grade, both required targeted enhancement training.

As for Shisui, Mokgetsu planned to enhance his Chakra control ability, both to improve his current combat power and lay the foundation for future Genjutsu learning.
