Chapter 182 - Chapter 84: Speedrun Missions

"Pseudo-Darkness has two learning difficulties: one is compressing the Lightning Attribute Chakra to ensure its power, and the other is the ability to control it, so that when you need to sweep a large area, you can split the lightning gun into multiple lightning bolts to ensure the attack range."

Mokgetsu demonstrated again and continued to explain.

"Compression and splitting..." Kakashi showed a contemplative expression, and then Mokgetsu's words kept echoing in his mind. As Kakashi continued to ponder, Mokgetsu, who released Pseudo-Darkness in his memory, gradually turned into Kakashi himself.

"I see." Kakashi showed a look of sudden realization.

Watching the proficiency of Pseudo-Darkness increase rapidly on Kakashi's panel, Mokgetsu felt that the enhanced teaching skills were pretty good.

Just now, Kakashi's Pseudo-Darkness proficiency soared all the way to over twenty points.

Then it was Kakashi's turn to practice Ninjutsu himself.

Kakashi followed the memory in his mind, forming seals step by step to perform the Ninjutsu.

"Lightning Release: Pseudo-Darkness!"

Kakashi opened his mouth and spat out a lightning bolt that struck a tree not far in front of him. However, Kakashi's lightning did not sweep a large area like Mokgetsu's; it didn't even knock down a tree, just charred the spot where the tree was hit.

Seeing the failure, Kakashi immediately fell into self-reflection, recalling his steps in performing the Ninjutsu to figure out where he went wrong.

"Compressing lightning isn't as simple as you think; you need to familiarize yourself more with that sensation." Mokgetsu pointed out the mistake.

Explaining the principles and techniques of various Ninjutsu in simple terms seems easy. The Rasengan is highly compressed Chakra controlled into a sphere moving in a chaotic manner, and the Lightning Blade is merely Chakra transformed into lightning made sharp through Form Transformation.

But in actual cultivation, it's not so straightforward. These techniques aren't easy to master, much like math, where teachers tell you to just grasp certain formulas to solve a problem, but those formulas aren't easy to master.

Mokgetsu had Kakashi try it two more times before he taught Kakashi once more, focusing on Kakashi's errors with a demonstration.

This is a teaching method Mokgetsu prefers, letting students learn with questions in mind, so when he demonstrates again, Kakashi will pay more attention to his mistakes.

"So that's how it's solved." Kakashi nodded to himself, elevating his evaluation of Mokgetsu another notch in his mind.

In terms of strength, Mokgetsu is an excellent ninja, and in teaching, Mokgetsu is also an extremely outstanding teacher.

Kakashi had been taught by many, not just the teachers in the Ninja Academy; he had experienced several Guiding Jonin, and his father had also taught him.

But in terms of teaching alone, Mokgetsu truly gave Kakashi a novel experience, with knowledge constantly flowing into his mind; it seems his thinking becomes more active while learning with Mokgetsu.

"He indeed is a reliable teacher. Maybe I can ask him for advice if I encounter problems in cultivation in the future," Kakashi thought to himself.

[Student Hatake Kakashi's trust level has increased, current trust level: 2]

Mokgetsu wasn't surprised by Kakashi's level up.

Trust level 2 isn't difficult; it's the kind of trust where you feel this person is quite reliable, as seen from the fact that his other three students all started at trust level 2.

Trust levels get progressively harder to increase, and the distance from trust level 2 to level 3 is probably bigger than five times that from level one to two. From level 3 to 4 is even tougher.

Mokgetsu felt that both Might Guy and Obito already trusted him greatly, almost as much as family, yet they still hadn't reached trust level 4, which shows its difficulty.

Moreover, Kakashi achieving level 2 was also a result of Mokgetsu's design.

To raise the trust level, Mokgetsu created an excellent persona, with strong abilities, knowledge, good cooking skills, and unique insights into ninjas.

Then the next day, Mokgetsu intentionally had Kakashi face off against Might Guy and Obito, genuinely introducing them to each other while also aiming to create a sense of urgency in Kakashi.

His two previous classmates, who were at the bottom of the class, are now surpassing him, the genius ninja. Mokgetsu didn't believe Kakashi wouldn't feel anything inside.

In such a situation, Kakashi discovered that his new guiding teacher was an outstanding teacher with high teaching skills, prompting him to learn well from his guiding teacher.

Mokgetsu was professional with his students. While it's difficult for Kakashi to reach level 3 at this stage, achieving trust level 2 isn't hard.

After the morning cultivation, Mokgetsu continued to take the students to complete tasks in the afternoon.

"Today we have to do even more tasks than yesterday afternoon—a full ten!" Obito said excitedly upon approaching the Hokage Building.

"Are you an idiot? Even if it's half an hour per task, doing ten tasks would take five hours." Kakashi said speechlessly.

Some tasks can be quickly completed with connections and strong action capability, but laborious tasks like picking up trash take at least over an hour.

"It's not even two o'clock yet, so even if we work for five hours, it won't be past seven, which isn't late." Obito felt his goal was achievable.

"You should use your rusty brain to think it through. Can you complete each task in half an hour? Plus, turning in tasks takes time." Kakashi's words became increasingly aggressive.

"It's just about lacking confidence; I can understand you. After all, I won all three times yesterday." Obito said triumphantly.

Yesterday's three consecutive wins were a sharp tool for him to attack Kakashi.

"Kakashi, how about we compete again today to see who finishes the most tasks?" Obito taunted, enjoying the feeling of beating Kakashi.

"Looks like I need to show you what a real ninja is." Seeing Obito still daring to jump, Kakashi decided to show Obito the dangers of the Ninja World.

"How could I miss out on such a competition!" Might Guy joined in.

"Alright, today's task goal is ten tasks. If you complete them, I'll treat you all to my specialty dishes." Mokgetsu smiled and encouraged.

If Obito and the others really complete ten tasks, his Chakra will indeed increase, and since Kakashi is now a student, the task completion reward will have an extra share.

When they arrived at the Hokage Building, to save time on turning in tasks, Mokgetsu took on five tasks in one go.

"This squad completes tasks so quickly; at this rate, there won't be miscellaneous tasks left for them to do." The ninja registering tasks for Mokgetsu sighed.

D-Class Missions are the only tasks that definitely won't involve any danger. Many miscellaneous tasks are subsidized by Konoha or are directly issued by Konoha itself. A regular squad completing one or two a day is fine, but with Mokgetsu Squad completing seven tasks in one afternoon, they're running out of tasks.

"So what should we do when they come to take on tasks then?"

"Let them wait and focus on cultivation first; according to the regulations, they still can't take on C-Class Missions."
