Chapter 94 - Chapter 7: Grand Opening

The control sticks transmitted a heavy damping sensation. The holographic screen inside the cockpit, fed by Lin's visor, was filled with more detailed information than ever before, discerning the changes in wind direction. Lin exerted force on his wrists and gently pushed the control sticks, making the entire machine incredibly flexible, moving with the wind like a feather.

"A total of four hundred seventy-one Honkai Beasts within a two-hundred-meter radius: one advanced, four hundred seventy low-tier. The number is still increasing."

After the neural connection, Prometheus's voice was fed directly into Lin's brain. His black eyes, like rolling black beads in a washing machine, rapidly pinpointed the surrounding Honkai Beasts, but faster than his sight was the precise micro-control of his fingers, recording the location of all Honkai Beasts at a speed of fifty per second.

"Bang!"

Reaching out and grabbing a Honkai Beast, the machine's horrifying output and the air resistance from its high-speed flight pressed the creature firmly into its palm. The Titan's hand gently closed, crushing the Honkai Beast like a water balloon. Vivid blood adhered to the machine.

The azure monocular eye stared at the giant object above the city. The dispersed particles increased again, rushing toward the Emperor-class Honkai Beast.

"Is that... Captain?"

Hua, fighting on the other side, saw the dazzling blue light streak across the sky and muttered to herself.

"Is that Lin?" Kevin, exhausted from protecting Kosma, looked up and saw the Titan flying near the edge of the battlefield. "What should we do next?"

Aim, aim, aim... The spatial awareness allowed Lin to accurately target the Honkai Beasts with the eight deployed floating cannons. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger, and highly compressed particles blasted out from the muzzles!

"Boom!"

Nearly thirty Honkai Beasts turned to ash.

One cannon pierced at least three Honkai Beasts. Lin lowered his flight altitude, flying low over the city's streets. The floating cannons surrounding him fired particle beams non-stop, like a broom, sweeping clean the areas they passed through.

He raised a hand and drew the particle rapid-fire gun from his back. No aiming was required. Utilizing the Titan's fully articulated joints, which were completely different from a human's, Lin could hit enemies from all directions without blind spots, further accelerating his battlefield clearing speed.

A terrifying wind pressure swept by, accompanied by a beam of light. The five Honkai Beasts in front of Hen vanished. Hen lowered his weapon, crouched low, and looked at the Titan, which had become a small dot. Only the blue particles lingered in the air.

"This is... the Titan? That's great, now we can..."

In just a few minutes, Lin had killed most of the Honkai Beasts in the entire city. The extraordinary mobility and firepower achieved an almost impossible feat.

He abruptly increased his flight altitude. The Titan performed agile evasive maneuvers like a human, side-stepping two wind blades that sliced the building behind him into three segments.

"Howl—"

The Emperor-class Honkai Beast angrily increased the wind pressure. A heavy pressure and decreased oxygen sank the hearts of everyone. Then, an azure flash shot directly from the city's edge towards the suspended Emperor-class Honkai Beast.

The Honkai Beasts hiding in its body still intended to descend upon the city, and numerous deformed heads popped out of its respiratory holes.

Before the Honkai Beasts could fully emerge from its body, the particle rifle in the Titan's hand quickly tapped, destroying the Honkai Beasts one by one, their remaining limbs blocking the exit.

"Roar!"

The manta ray flapped its pectoral fins, and a damaging gale pressed down on the Titan over a large area. This attack carried pure, destructive Honkai energy. Even the Titan's massive size looked tiny, like a turtle beneath a looming tsunami.

However, Lin's movements in the cockpit were so fast that they left no trace on the retina. The entire Titan cleverly assumed a flat-on-its-back posture and dropped, skimming the edge of the attack. The minimal pressure was insignificant to the Titan, while the wind pressure attack impacted the large area of buildings behind it, pulverizing hundreds of meters of the city district.

The charged floating cannons retracted and then deployed and flew out from the backpack again. Each floating cannon was manually operated by Lin. A torrent of information streamed across his vision. He maneuvered them through the Emperor-class Honkai Beast's body, and specially compressed particles gathered at the muzzles of the floating cannons.

Surrounding the Honkai Beast's head with eight floating cannons, Lin stared at the Emperor-class Honkai Beast, which was unable to dodge, and then...

"Boom!"

This time, the highly compressed particles acted like a beam saber. Under Lin's control, they encircled the manta ray's head, cutting a perfect circle. In the near-stunned gaze of everyone, the horrific giant monster was decapitated before it could even utter a dying wail. Its head separated from its body, and its internal organs, blood, and the smaller Honkai Beasts inside poured down like a torrential rain.

Lin searched through the information on the screen for the critical object, and finally captured a dim light among the body parts. He exerted force with both hands. The machine was no longer stalled and began to break through the layers of dark clouds toward the sky.

After reaching the almost invisible highest point, he aimed his lowered particle rifle at the ground and accurately shot through the Emperor-class Honkai Beast's core.

In less than ten minutes, the city was left with only the wreckage of Honkai Beasts, the tireless hurricane, and the soldiers who were all stunned by this "performance."

"The rest is up to you."

Kevin, who had witnessed this grand, efficient, and precise massacre, received this short communication. Before he could speak, the Titan, with a blue trail in its wake, tore through the dark clouds and soared into the sky.

...

Breaking the sound barrier, and still accelerating.

Lin encountered no obstacles. The wind pressure and storms that had made fighter jets helpless and frustrated had no interference on the Titan's special flight system. Under the G-force that made his body cry out in protest, he reached the sky that was previously unreachable.

Lin had no mind to appreciate the boundless sky. Prometheus's target acquisition located one enemy as soon as he reached this altitude.

The only enemy.

His pupils slightly shifted.

The one delivering divine punishment from the sky...

The emerald pupils of the Herrscher were still momentarily astonished by the appearance of the mechanical figure, but they were quickly covered by indifference.

Human creations were merely toys she could crush at will. The high-speed flying machines from a while ago instantly turned into fireworks after hitting her wall of wind.

Just some moving steel coffins.

Long green and white hair flowed smoothly behind her due to the manipulated air currents. The pair of emerald, transparent wind wings did not flap; they were merely the symbol of a "Herrscher." Unseen, delicate air currents shifted around her body in real time.

Prometheus informed: "Seven minutes ago, Headquarters named the Fourth Herrscher the Herrscher of Wind. Her authority is preliminarily judged to be the manipulation of wind."

Lin did not respond.

He couldn't respond now. Facing a Herrscher, he had to be fully focused, unable to be distracted for a moment.

The Titan's ability to fly freely in the Fourth Herrscher's wind field did not mean the Titan could ignore the Fourth Herrscher's attacks. To a Herrscher, the difference between an alloy and a human body was only whether to use half a fraction of force or three fractions of force. A truly substantial attack, even a pure compressed Honkai energy blast, could render the Titan scrap metal.

However...

They had Lin, they had Prometheus, and they had... Delta!

He could not lose.

Not even once.

Lin's fingers tightened on the control sticks, then he abruptly pushed them, charging toward the humanoid monster!
