[Masked Sorcerer, LP 0]
As Life Points hit zero, the storm of magic power dissipated and Yugen could no longer see the spirit of this sorcerer.
It seemed that the Silent Magician's final strike directly disintegrated it, leaving not even a trace.
After finishing the work, Yugen clapped his hands, calmly turning to look at the remaining goblin minions. The Silent Magician did not disappear with the duel's end, standing guard beside him with her magic staff, coldly eying the surrounding goblins.
The surrounding goblins who were watching were petrified.
The final scene of the duel was still fresh in their minds: an overwhelming strike of over five thousand Attack Power, the terrifying momentum, the leader's desperate scream as he was crushed to bits, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
This duelist is so terrifying!
A group of goblins stood frozen in place, completely afraid to move, watching as Yugen put away the Duel Disc and turned to walk towards them, feeling as if they were watching the approaching God of Death...
Finally, a goblin in the back made up his mind: "I... suddenly remembered my wife is about to give birth, guys, I'm going ahead..."
Saying this, he turned and dashed away.
As someone took the lead, the whole group immediately scattered. Another goblin slapped his forehead: "Right, my wife is about to give birth too, I'm going ahead..."
"Me too! My wife too!"
"Ah, I remembered, my dad died last year and hasn't been buried, I must hurry..."
Boom!
A Magic Light Bullet exploded in front of the fastest-running goblin group, blasting a huge crater in the ground, sending the small monsters tumbling. The one at the very front couldn't stop in time and crashed headfirst into the Magic Light Ball, shattering instantly, not even needing a burial.
The remaining goblins were so frightened that their livers and gallbladders shattered, freezing in place utterly terrified.
"Don't be nervous, I'm no demon."
Yugen smiled and, speaking, walked to the place where the Masked Sorcerer had been reduced to dust.
Then he picked up the Card Deck that had fallen to the ground from the pile of ashes that seemed like its remains, skillfully slipping it into his pocket.
This scene made the goblins even more afraid to look up, thinking indeed, you're too modest, the demon would have to imprint you...
"I didn't mean to intrude here, nor did I intend to participate in your battle. I was just passing by, as long as you tell me how to leave this place..."
Just when he hadn't finished speaking, he suddenly felt Silent Magician seemingly tugging at the hem of his clothes from behind.
Turning his head, he saw the young female magician gesture behind them.
Yugen then noticed that on the empty streets of the town, it seemed some people began to appear.
Or, more accurately, some spirits.
Some small elves, hiding in the shadows of buildings or gaps in doors and windows, cautiously peeked out. They seemed to have been drawn over by the noise of the recent duel, observing in secret.
A blonde, blue-skinned female elf boldly stepped out of the shadows, walking towards their direction.
Although he had no impression of most elves, he happened to recognize this one. Her name was "Holy Elf," Four-Star Attack Power eight hundred Defense Power two thousand, summoned once by the Mortal Bone in the anime, so he remembered.
"Hero, you have finally appeared..."
Yugen: "?"
Hero?
Just hearing it evokes the image of a hero traveling to the Otherworld to defeat the Great Demon King and save the princess as part of a classic storyline...
"Since the disaster began, there has always been a legend here. One day a hero from another world will come here, defeat the Evil God and bring hope."
Goodness gracious, there's even an Evil God, sounds like the challenge level is higher than the Demon King.
At this moment, more elves boldly stepped out, although Yugen recognized none, guessing from their appearance, they were mostly one-star and two-star Mortal Bone elves.
"Follow me." Holy Elf said, "I will tell you how to leave this place."
The elves bound and detained the remaining Black Goblins, the minions bowing their heads in the presence of someone's overwhelming force, not daring to make a sound.
"It is unclear when it began, but this world was invaded. The henchmen of the Evil God have been rampant across towns, capturing elves everywhere, sealing them in tablets, extracting their life and power to provide nourishment for the revival of the evil god."
"Does this Evil God have a name?"
Yugen guessed this Evil God might also be a card from his previous life.
The Holy Elf shook her head: "No, no one has ever seen it. We are a peace-loving elf race, almost powerless to resist in the face of the evil god's minions, and have been hiding all these years.
But recently, they seem to have suddenly become unsatisfied with slowly capturing the elves. All of a sudden, they decided they wanted them all."
The Holy Elf led him to the outskirts of the city and raised her slender blue arm to point to the sky.
Yugen followed the direction of her finger. He saw that the sky there had cracked dramatically, as if it had been torn open into a shocking gash. The broken space formed a pitch-black vortex, like a gaping, voracious maw.
"What is that...?"
"It leads to the domain of the evil god," the Holy Elf said worriedly. "Every day, the crack continues to expand, further devouring our world.
When it expands large enough one day, our world might cease to exist."
"I sympathize with your plight," Yugen said, "but I don't think there's much I can do to help."
The Holy Elf smiled softly.
"All this time, we've been avoiding the evil god's minions and at the same time waiting for the legendary hero's arrival. The elf prophet with the magician foretold that the hero would descend from another world, using the power of the cards to break the evil god's minions and awaken the sleeping warrior."
"The sleeping warrior?"
"Yes, a legendary warrior with unrivaled strength, who stands up with his sword to fight against the evil god," the Holy Elf said. "He was incredibly powerful, even driving back the evil forces at one point.
But in the end, the evil god made a move. With terrifying power, it defeated the warrior with a single blow, who was the only protector of this world. Afterward, the warrior's power was sealed; legend has it that only when the hero arrives, using his 'power,' can the warrior be awakened again, triggering a miracle."
In the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!, the bond between elves and duelists is mutually beneficial. Just as powerful elves bestow stronger destiny power upon duelists, elves can only fully realize their potential in the hands of strong duelists.
Even the Three Phantom Gods, which stand at the peak of Duel Monsters, are only in their strongest state in the hands of the invincible Pharaoh.
"And the warrior's resting place is right here."
As she spoke, the Holy Elf had already led Yugen to the site of a massive mountain rock.
On the side of the mountain, the image of the warrior was clearly engraved, much like those depicted on ancient Egyptian tablets. He was clad in armor, kneeling on one knee with a sword planted into the ground, and even through the tablet, one could seem to feel the unyielding spirit in those eyes.
As expected, engraved here was the Chaos Warrior.
This is why the ruins are connected to this realm of elves.
"To leave here and return to where you came from, this is the only way. The legendary warrior possesses space-opening power, and it was this power that summoned you here, and only this power can take you back."
The Holy Elf whispered.
"But you said I need to help you defeat the evil god?" Yugen asked. "If I just go back like this..."
"The evil god's true form is not here. Only its minions are here, and no matter how many you defeat, more will come; it is meaningless."
The Holy Elf shook her head.
"The evil god's true form resides in the world from which the hero came. On one hand, they are attacking the Elf Realm, enslaving many elves to absorb their strength as weapons, on the other hand, plotting conspiracies against the other world. Both our worlds are under its threat."
Yugen frowned slightly.
In the world he came from? Could it be a duelist with dark powers?
Well, although he doesn't know what kind of character this so-called evil god is, it probably wouldn't be so easy for it to stir up trouble in his world.
After all, the big shots are quite numerous...
He exchanged a glance with the Silent Magician, who nodded lightly.
Perhaps due to the bond between the duelist and the elf master, sometimes words were unnecessary for Yugen to understand her meaning. She was indicating to him that the seal here indeed held magic similar to the slate they had entered through in the ruins and should allow them to return.
But just as he was about to step forward and reach for the tablet, a muffled explosion suddenly echoed beside him.
It sounded like cannon fire being discharged. Before he could react, the Silent Magician sprang forward, sweeping her magic staff. A projectile was deflected by the magic power vibrating in her hands, redirecting it elsewhere, exploding into a smoking crater on the plain.
Turning his head, Yugen saw a person appear at some unknown time on the slope.
With both hands in his pockets, he had blonde hair, wore sunglasses, and had a star-spangled headscarf wrapped around his head.
"I'm sorry."
The man wore a roguish smile on his face.
"But I'm afraid I can't let you leave so easily."
