Yugen remembered this name.
Alpha had mentioned before he passed that Delta was the most outstanding among them.
"So, it's you." Yugen understood.
"Yes, my brother was under your care before," Delta said calmly.
"So, you're here for revenge?"
"Not really. Although we are brothers, there's not much sentiment between us. I'm here purely for business."
Delta raised his Duel Disc and said.
"Of course, although the duel here is not quite like the 'Dark Duel' you know, there are similarities in the outcome.
The consciousness data of the loser between us will be deleted. If I lose, my program will vanish into dust, representing the end of my consciousness.
If you lose, although your body will be unharmed, you probably won't be able to wake up in reality ever again."
Yugen understood. Indeed, the prototype of the setting in "Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains" had already begun.
In "Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains", the sixth installment, all duels are conducted online, and there is no concept of a Dark Game. However, in that worldview, playing cards online involves a Life Bet Card similar to the Dark Duel, where the loser becomes a "Deceased," in a vegetative state unable to wake up for life.
Compared to the Dark Duels Yugen had experienced before, this was still somewhat entry-level.

"Standard opening," Delta said, "Then my turn, draw a card.
First, I activate the Magic Card 'Price Reduction Shopping,' discard an Eight-Star monster from my hand and draw two cards from the deck.
I discard the Level Eight 'Tyrant Dragon' and draw a card from the deck."
He then leisurely drew a card from his hand.
"I activate the Continuous Magic 'Future Fusion'."
Yugen's eyelid twitched.
Sigh~ another ancient Forbidden Card.
Banned since 2012, and it wasn't until its effect was severely nerfed in 2017 that it was released from its ban.
However, there are two different versions of Future Fusion in the GX animation. The one in Caesar's hand is an Equipment Magic, while the one later used by Darkness's subordinates is a Continuous Magic identical to the old Physical Card.
Delta seemed to be using the Continuous Magic version.
"Future Fusion allows me to select one Fusion Monster I have, send the Fusion Materials needed for that Fusion Monster from the deck to the graveyard.
On the second standby phase after activation, I can conduct a Fusion Summon for that monster."
Just as its name suggests, it allows future fusion of monsters. Although, the reason it was banned wasn't because of this, but due to its ability to precisely mill cards from the deck to the grave. The fusion summon became secondary by comparison.
And the Fusion Monster that was most commonly paired with Future Fusion back then was...
"The Fusion Monster I choose is this one," Delta revealed a card, "Five Emperors Dragon!"
Yugen squinted.
Just as expected.
The Five Emperors Dragon was used by the Five Great Lords, the antagonists on the Kaiba Group board in the original work. Its attack and defense were both 5000, making it a top-tier monster within the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! card pool.
But that's not the main point. The strongest aspect of the Five Emperors Dragon is its fusion condition, which is any five Dragon-type monsters without any other restriction.
"Five Emperors Dragon's fusion condition is five Dragon-type monsters," Delta drew five cards from the deck, "So I send five Dragon Race monsters from my deck to the graveyard!"
Five dragons swiftly entered the graveyard from the Duel Disc, demonstrating the true power of Future Fusion through instant, precise milling of five cards.
Delta paused, then chuckled a bit.
"All the cards I use are physically stored in Abiak's building," he said, "Defeat me, and it's your freedom to take my Deck or even all other rare cards stored in this building."
"Ha, truly generous," Yugen laughed, "Then I won't be polite."
"As you said, it's only natural for the victor to claim everything."
Delta shrugged, seemingly indifferent.
"Then, I'll continue to activate the Magic Card 'Angel's Charity,' draw three cards from the deck and discard two cards from my hand," Delta said, "Then I activate the Magic Card 'Silent Dead,' special summon an Ordinary Monster from the grave in Defense position."
As he spoke, a card exited the graveyard.
"The Dual Monster 'Dark Storm Dragon' in the grave can be treated as an Ordinary Monster whether on the field or in the grave. Therefore, I special summon 'Dark Storm Dragon' in Defense position from the grave!"

Dark Storm Dragon, Yugen remembered the AI trio used it before. But, considering they are from the same source, all designed based on Kaiba, and seem to have a particular liking for Dragon-types, it's not surprising they share similar cards.
"Then, as a Dual Monster, Dark Storm Dragon can gain new effects through a second Normal Summon," Delta said, "I perform a Double Summon for 'Dark Storm Dragon' to grant it new effects.
Once per turn, by sending face-up Magic and Trap cards from my field to the grave, I can destroy all Magic Trap Cards on the field!"
He pulled out the card from his Duel Disc slot and sent it to the graveyard.
"I send the Continuous Magic 'Future Fusion' to the grave, your back field will be destroyed for me."
Storm Dragon spread its wings, stirred up a black Hurricane. Yugen's back field Cover Card flipped over, shredded into pieces in the storm.

"Truly cautious," Yugen smiled, "Have you dispelled the threat of the Sealing Pot?"
"You used Dragon Race Sealing Pot when facing off against Seto Kaiba's duel program before. During this operation, you infiltrated Abiak's building, and you must have anticipated the possibility of confronting us AI.
Therefore, the probability of including anti-Dragon-type countermeasures within your Deck is not low."
Delta's tone remained calm.
"I'm more outstanding than my brothers, the only exceptional individual selected through countless training. Simple tactics won't work on me."
He proceeded to draw another card from his hand.
"I activate the Magic Card 'Burial Spell Treasure Scroll.' Remove from play the three Magic Cards 'Future Fusion,' 'Angel's Charity,' and 'Silent Dead' from the graveyard, and draw two cards." (Original Card)
