Chapter 581 - Chapter 558: Tracking

Titan fell to his knees, hands on the ground, but his burly body kept trembling.

"So... so strong..."

He struggled to look up at the vague and indistinct figure on the large screen.

Only now did he realize how ridiculous his naive thoughts were when he made his move earlier. He realized why the person behind the screen was the Master of Seven-Star, and how great the gap was between them and this leader.

He lost, and he recognized the insurmountable chasm of strength. Therefore, he accepted the defeat with reigned acceptance but lacked contentment.

Because...

...He wasn't the damned spy!

But he couldn't figure it out even if it killed him.

Why did all the teammates firmly insist that he was the inside man?

He thought back and realized he hadn't offended these people usually...

But he had no time left, and he feared he'd never figure this mystery out in his lifetime.

Titan's eyes gradually lost their luster, like a puppet drained of its soul, and he collapsed lifelessly to the ground.

There was a brief silence in the conference room.

Then Zarug was the first to break the silence, laughing dryly twice.

"Boss is mighty." He chuckled, "As expected of the boss, such powerful dueling prowess is indeed admirable."

"Exactly, exactly."

Zik quickly followed up with flattery.

"Boss is awesome!"

"And so, the mole has finally been eliminated. Ah, I feel refreshed and much lighter now..."

But as he spoke, they all shared the same thought in their hearts.

Well, at least now everyone present was on the same page. To some extent, the moles were cleared out.

However, Kagemaru was not so optimistic.

The elderly man on the other side of the screen pondered silently, his hawk-like gaze slowly sweeping over the remaining people.

Especially lingering on Daitokuji for a while.

"Is that so? Then let's hope so," Kagemaru said blandly, "Now, let's get to the point.

The Seven-Star keys, till now, haven't been obtained even one. I'm quite dissatisfied with the progress..."

"..."

What followed was the regular meeting agenda.

Kagemaru didn't continue on the earlier topic, nor did he respond to the previous requests for him to show up in person. The old fox was quite cautious, not saying it outright but clearly not trusting the remaining people much.

He had showcased a little of his skill in the earlier duel to awe everyone and consolidate his authority, while his subsequent actions indicated rejection to their requests for him to appear personally.

But it didn't matter.

This possibility was also within Yugen's expectations. If the pressure from the insiders could directly lure the elder himself, that would be best, but if he refused, that was alright too.

This is why Yugen previously mentioned needing the Kaiba Group's tech team support.

"Continue the meeting, keep him talking for a while longer, don't end it too quickly."

Through the earpiece, he ordered all the insiders while aboard a KC-marked jet. The plane was full throttle, slicing through the swirling clouds.

The insiders in this meeting weren't just his eyes and ears. Everyone was equipped with devices from the Kaiba Group, for signal positioning and tracking.

Tracking the signal of Kagemaru's real-time image to trace his location.

This old man was indeed cautious, with the signal rerouting several times, using various methods to evade tracking.

But fortunately, the support team behind Yugen was top-notch as well.

"Location locked."

The technical consultant hired by Keihei told Yugen.

"In an office building in L City. The building seems to belong to a baby products company. Uploading satellite scan real-time image."

Yugen swiped open the projection screen in the plane, seeing the image of that building.

"Coordinates received, adjusting course now."

Reported the jet pilot.

With a trail of spectacular flames, the KC jet, in just a few minutes, was closing in on L City. The plane kept decelerating, lowering its altitude, approaching the building.

Unbelievably, the seemingly ordinary office building's top suddenly sprouted turrets, spewing dazzling fire towards the airplane from afar!

But the Kaiba Group pilot was also experienced, immediately pulling the control stick to climb altitude. The plane ascended at an almost unnatural angle, dodging the fire.

"Baby products company?"

The pilot cursed.

"Baby products need anti-air cannons now?"

Yugen patted his shoulder, smiled: "Thank you. You can head back now."

Saying that, he had already geared up with a pair of metal wings. The same kind used by the president during his dramatic airborne entry in those KC anime episodes back in the day.

"You're planning to..."

The pilot shook his head repeatedly.

"No way, that's insane, you'll be blown to bits."

"Haha, no worries, I have a special move."

Yugen laughed, waved, and opened the hatch.

He leaped, descending from the sky. The metallic steel wings spread out behind him with a swish, while the jet engine at his back spewed azure flames, shooting towards the office building like a meteor.

"What a madman."

The pilot muttered, the jet pivoted and left the danger zone.

The anti-aircraft guns shifted target, the barrage poured in. Yugen, unconcerned, dove straight in the rain of bullets; occasional shrapnel and flame came toward him but crashed into an invisible barrier half a meter away, only splashing ripples of white, transparent magic arrays.

The signal source was located roughly on the fortieth floor. Yugen locked onto the fortieth floor, pushing the wings to full power.

Meanwhile, the windproof goggles he wore scanned the building during flight, roughly assessing the floor plan.

Multiple targets, several armed individuals... well, guns can be ignored, posing no threat.

About three targets carrying Duel Discs, those should be the main obstacles.

The outer scan of the building showed custom thickened bulletproof glass. The scanner, directly linked to the Kaiba Group's server, instantly identified the glass materials, types, specifications, and damage tolerance.

Technically, it could even withstand a soldier's rocket launcher blast, crashing into it would surely splatter him into a pulp.

Truly befitting a baby products company.

But never mind that.

Target distance: five hundred meters.

Transparent white light split from Yugen, the Silent Magician appeared briefly, the already charged Magic Staff slammed through the air.

A dazzling magic light bullet carved a magnificent path dividing the sky. The bulletproof glass shattered under the overwhelming force with a crash.

Nearing enough, Yugen discarded the wings. They soared into the sky under AI control while he maintained momentum, aiming at the broken window, thrusting in.

Rolling in a circle, landing in a half-crouch, a perfect superhero landing.

No wonder the president loved doing this, it is indeed cool and amusing.

He stood up, glanced around, looking at all those in the room who were shouting, drawing guns at him.

He smiled slightly.

Perfect infiltration.
