Recognizing Yugen, Tachibana Ikaku first froze, his eyes instinctively showing reverence, which quickly transformed into great excitement.

Yugen shrugged, stepped forward, and faced him.
The Death God Card with special Elf Power, although it requires sacrificing the duelist's soul, it grants the ability for a guaranteed hit Divine Draw, which indeed piqued his interest.

Of course, the real card modified it to 2000 damage per card since in the real card environment with 8000 Life Points, burning only 1000 points doesn't hurt much.

It's understandable. Betting all the victory on just one chance at Divine Draw, drawing it means instant kill, failing means GG. This doesn't sound like something a serious duelist would do.
