In fact, Yugen had long heard of the Tomb Guardian Race's reputation. Even without this invitation, he had thought before about when he might have the opportunity to meet Malik and his siblings.
The Tomb Guardian Race indeed had much to offer. For instance, the Valley of the Mother's Eternal Rest that Yugen previously obtained was a Tomb Guardian Divine Artifact. Then there was Mr. Malikma's big treasure, Lixid's Royal Divine Hall used in the last duel, and Sister Isis's signature Reversal of the World and the Underworld, and so on.
Considering this, the rare cards exclusive to the Tomb Guardian family were actually many. Besides, back in the day, Malik painstakingly managed to create Gulus, the world's largest counterfeit card manufacturer, producing a bunch of knockoff cards to march into Duel City, not even sparing the famous Exodia. Although Gulus has disbanded now, the foundation Mr. Malikma built during that period should not be weak.
Though most are counterfeit cards, it's definitely not just knockoffs; surely there are also many rare things that became out of print years ago.
With Yugen's affairs with the Descent Sect temporarily put to rest, at least the forces the Evil Gods built in the current world dimension have suffered a devastating blow.
Yugen then switched back to the Revolver persona and made a trip to the Hanuo Knight Headquarters, where he briefly arranged and assigned the subsequent handling of the remaining members of the Descent Sect, and then set off to Tongshiyi.
The Egyptian Archaeology Bureau was expected to stay in Tongshiyi for about two days. According to Lixid, there seemed to be something important in Egypt that needed to be shown to Yugen. So Yugen could just go with them.
Yugen landed in Tongshiyi at 9:10 PM.
He had already informed Lixid of his arrival time. Logically, even if Malik and his siblings were too busy to come in person, they should have at least sent someone to greet him. However, after disembarking and looking around, Yugen didn't see anyone who seemed like they were there to welcome him, which made him feel a little strange.
But Lixid also had already given him the address of the hotel where Malik and his siblings were staying. While Yugen found the Tomb Guardians' hospitality peculiar, he didn't take it to heart and went to the address on his own.
Yugen casually flagged down a cab on the roadside, took a seat in the back, and gave the address. But after he closed the car door, there was no sign of the car starting for a while.
Instead, the driver in the front seat didn't turn around, only faced the direction of the window, and chuckled twice, saying, "Guest, could it be that you got the wrong address?
I think where you should be headed is likely the Paradise dominated by Eternal Darkness, right?"
The driver's words, though he hadn't revealed his identity, were akin to directly demonstrating malicious intentions.
Yugen frowned slightly and had not yet spoken when the Silent Magician suddenly appeared in the car and raised the Magic Staff, sending a blast of white light straight towards the front seat.
Bam!
The car window exploded with a loud crash, the driver's seat was smashed to pieces, and pieces of sponge and white foam particles scattered in the air, mingling with the shattered glass raining down.
The driver could not escape as the seat and windshield were both pierced. But his body was struck by the magical beam and shattered as if dispersed by water. A mass of dark energy was released, as if that dark gas constituted the main part of his body. The rest scattered as dark cards, carried away on the magic force through the broken window.
But those dark cards seemed to have a will of their own, turning mid-flight and gathering on the ground near the car, reassembling with the collected dark energy into a human form, standing nonchalantly, seemingly unscathed, and arrogantly pushing the sunglasses up his nose.
Yugen opened the car door, stood by the car, and frowned.
"Nice to meet you for the first time." The man smiled, "Finally, I get to meet you, Duel King. I have no name, but I am the 'True Man.' You may call me Mr. T."
The mysterious and ostentatious entrance did not impress Yugen, who immediately revealed, "Darkness, is it?"
Mr. T's expression changed slightly.
"How do you know?"
This individual represents the forces of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX's final BOSS, who in the conclusion eliminated the existence of everyone on Earth except for Judai, merging them into his world of eternal darkness, Darkness.
Of course, Yugen is not facing the true Darkness but its one and only minion, Mr. T.
The reason for this statement is that Mr. T's design seems somewhat inspired by Agent Smith from The Matrix.
The image of a man in a black suit and sunglasses, with countless replicas, serving a unified consciousness. While not Darkness, they can directly represent Darkness's consciousness.
Yugen was puzzled.
Just in the short beginning of this new semester, the appearances of Yubel, Zok, the Three Evil Gods, and various prominent BOSS figures started emerging. Now, another one, Darkness, has appeared.
What is going on this semester? Is this group of BOSSes gathering for a reason?
"Fujiki Yugen, I initially thought you were just a somewhat troublesome Duelist, but now that you know about Darkness, I cannot let you live."
Similar black energy masses and numerous dark cards gathered again, forming a Duel Disc on Mr. T's hand.
He took a step forward, speaking coldly.
"It seems even more necessary to eliminate you as soon as possible."
Yugen frowned, knowing this battle was inevitable. He just didn't know whether Mr. T's appearance here was a coincidence or if it was related to the Evil Gods that he and the Tomb Guardian Race were preparing to combat.

"Then I'll go first, draw a card," Yugen said.
Although Mr. T is merely a minion of Darkness, the strengths and weaknesses of different individuals varied significantly. Moreover, they could handle almost any card deck, and their strategic approaches are unpredictable.
The first Mr. T appearing in the animation used Dark Realm monsters and the Five Emperors Dragon but was quicker defeated by Yuki Judai. However, the Mr. T appearing afterward in Tongshiyi managed to defeat the strong contender for GX's entire MVP, O'Brien, so he couldn't be underestimated completely.
"Activate the Magic Card 'Angel's Charity,' draw three cards from the deck, then discard two cards from the hand."
Yugen sent two cards from his hand to the graveyard.
"Next, activate the Equipment Magic 'Premature Burial,' pay 800 Life Points to resurrect a monster in attack mode from the graveyard."
Naturally, what Yugen wanted to resurrect was one of the two cards he had just sent to the graveyard.

The vortex in the graveyard opened; before the monster emerged, green tendrils shot out first. Then a large mouth full of sharp teeth opened, and the gigantic carnivorous plant emerged onto the battlefield.

Yugen revealed another card he just sent to the graveyard.
"Special Summon the Plant Race, 'Carrot Man'!"
