Chapter 750 - Chapter 685: Voldemort's Suspicion (Part 3)

Well, strictly speaking, Kael now should be more dangerous than the Death Eaters.

He didn't dwell on this issue any longer and asked instead, "What about Dumbledore? Why didn't he come with you just now?"

"Yeah..." At this moment, Sirius, walking at the front, couldn't help but complain, "If he had been here, Bellatrix definitely wouldn't have escaped. That mad woman is too dangerous."

Mr. Weasley also nodded.

If Dumbledore was here, he could have personally uncovered Malfoy's true identity... He saw it just now, the platinum blond hair that couldn't be concealed by mask and hood, clearly it was Malfoy.

"Oh, about that." Kael calmly said, "Professor Dumbledore should still be outside the Department of Mysteries, fighting Voldemort."

Unanimously, everyone stopped in their tracks.

"What did you say?" Sirius almost shouted, "You-Know-Who is also at the Ministry of Magic?"

"Yes, I just happened to encounter him when I arrived," Kael said. "Professor Dumbledore and Voldemort, us and the Death Eaters, it's quite fair, isn't it?"

Harry felt even guiltier, but at this moment no one paid him any attention. No one spoke, and after a brief pause, they continued walking forward.

This time, however, everyone looked much more serious.

The return journey was smooth; they didn't encounter any Death Eaters blocking their path, seemingly they had already fled and didn't choose to stay at the Department of Mysteries.

Lupin's memory was excellent, and he quickly led everyone back to the outermost black circular hall, and from there, it was just a corridor leading to the elevators.

But Lupin and Sirius stopped at the same time.

If it's just as Kael said, this room is right outside the battlefield of Dumbledore and Voldemort; is it really okay for them to go out now? Wouldn't they distract Dumbledore...

Before they could think further, a door suddenly opened on the right side, revealing a corridor leading to the elevators.

Everyone was startled, but soon they found that the corridor was empty; neither Dumbledore nor Voldemort was there.

Sirius, Lupin, and Kingsley cautiously walked out and suddenly gasped in shock.

This corridor looked like it had been bombarded countless times with The Blasting Curse; the walls on both sides were almost shattered, the ground covered with fallen stones, and a big hole was in the ceiling.

Now, they thoroughly believed Kael's words.

Luckily, the elevator was not damaged. Mr. Weasley stepped forward to test it.

"It still works," he turned to say, being the first to step in.

Then Harry and Kael, Sirius, Lupin also stepped into the elevator.

Kingsley decided to stay here as the captured Death Eaters needed someone to guard them, and it seemed safer here.

The adults unanimously decided to quickly get Kael and Harry out of the Ministry of Magic. Sirius fiercely pressed the button for the atrium, "Hurry up, damn it, can this thing be any faster!"

The elevator clattered upwards, stopping at the atrium as soon as Sirius urged.

But when they came out, the first thing they saw was Dumbledore and Voldemort confronting each other.

"Oh, no!" Sirius said irritably, "Why are they here? We should have let them stay with Kingsley in the Department of Mysteries."

Kael peeked from behind Lupin.

It seemed the battle was in a halftime pause.

Dumbledore and Voldemort stood on opposite sides, and the once dazzling atrium was in ruins, even the statue in the center of the Magic Fountain was smashed.

Not far from them lay half of a Centaur statue, further away was a pointed ear and the Wizard's head.

The Death Eaters who had escaped earlier were now kneeling before Voldemort.

"Bella, you messed things up again, didn't you?" Voldemort stared at Dumbledore with those cold red eyes, "Months of preparation... my Death Eaters have disappointed me once more..."

"Master, I'm sorry, I didn't know..." Bellatrix cried, crawling slowly to Voldemort's feet, "Please, don't punish me..."

"Enough, Bella." Voldemort's eyes still didn't move from Dumbledore, "This is the third time you've disappointed me, and you know what? Someone returned earlier than you."

"Although he's cowardly, he brought me some interesting news... You seemed to deliberately attack Harry Potter holding the prophecy orb.

"And that Kael called you quite affectionately... Even those three beasts hardly attacked you at all."

"No, it's not like that!" Bellatrix screamed, her face full of terror, "Master, you know, I am your most loyal servant, I was in the past, and I am now."

"I once believed that too, but now, your actions make me have to doubt..."

Voldemort's voice was chilling, and Bellatrix was so frightened she lay on the ground, trembling uncontrollably.

"No, Master, I have not..."

While they were talking, Dumbledore stood quietly nearby, not interrupting them.

Nearly everyone in the Magic Realm knew Bellatrix was the most insane Death Eater, and now she's being suspected by Voldemort—this was truly intriguing.

And whether it was an illusion or not, Dumbledore always felt like the scene before him was somewhat familiar... Until he heard Kael's name, he suddenly realized.

Ah, Kael, then it's all good.

But he couldn't understand, this kind of sowing discord was too obvious, even if Voldemort was inherently suspicious, he shouldn't believe it so quickly.

Or are they performing a show for me?
