The morning brightened quickly, and the rest of the company members came to my homestead, where we held the first meeting on how to go about the entire mission.
"The things we need to do here are to get back her goods… she also wanted you to find a way for her to control one of the Clans, right?"
I nodded grimly to Levi.
"The Crystaldeep Clan. The rumors say they have a source of unlimited resources. It's inexplicable, really—a tale that doesn't make sense. Sounds like a watered-down Peter Pan story to me."
Tristan gave me a confused look.
"What's a watered-down Peter Pan story?"
I gave him a look, wanting to explain a twisted story about an evil boy who was lonely and, because of it, started kidnapping people's children with the promise of paradise.
But I shook my head.
