Chapter 54: The Leviathan's Fury

The sea roared, and the storm above screamed as the Leviathan emerged from the depths. It was a monstrous beast of ancient horror, its tentacled form towering above the ships like a nightmare brought to life. With a deafening roar, it charged through the waves toward Barbossa's vessel.

On the deck, Elias and Captain Barbossa were still clashing like two wild animals, blades flashing with fury, neither truly aiming to kill. But when Elias saw the shadow of the Leviathan loom behind Barbossa, his face twisted in disbelief.

"Oi! You ugly bastard captain of mine!" Elias shouted across the raging sea. "Are you trying to kill me?!"

Davy Jones stood at the helm of the Flying Dutchman, his tentacled face smirking with cruel amusement. "If you die from this," he rasped, "well... too bad for you, I guess."

Elias scoffed, tightening his grip on the sword. He turned to Barbossa. "Okay, time out."

Barbossa raised an eyebrow, keeping his blade ready. "The deal can be broken by only two things, lad," he said with a grim nod. "One—you kill Davy Jones. Two—you die."

Elias smiled.

But it wasn't just a smile. It was madness. Chaos. Freedom.

The Leviathan opened its gaping, jagged maw as it drew closer, and Elias didn't hesitate. He looked at Barbossa with that same crooked grin. "Option two it is, mate."

Then, without another word, Elias turned and sprinted toward the edge of the deck. The Leviathan let out a monstrous roar as its mouth opened wide, and Elias leapt.

He dove straight into its mouth.

The battlefield fell silent.

Even the cannons paused, even the sea seemed to hold its breath. Every pirate, every cursed crewman, every soul on that water stopped and watched as Elias disappeared into the gullet of the beast.

Raina screamed.

Jake stood frozen, his face pale beneath the brim of his hat.

Barbossa lowered his sword slowly.

Five minutes passed.

The Leviathan floated, still and silent. Then it twitched. It trembled. And then—it screamed. A deep, gurgling howl of agony.

Its mouth opened wide, and with a violent lurch, it spit out a bloodied body onto the deck of Barbossa's ship.

Elias.

He lay there, soaked in blood and beast slime, unmoving for a moment. Then he groaned, coughed, and rolled onto his back.

"God damn," he muttered. "I died. Five whole minutes. Dead. Really dead."

He slowly sat up, blood dripping from his lips, a cracked smile forming as he wiped his face. "I mean… how many times can I die and come back before the sea just decides to keep me for good?"

And then he laughed.

Laughed loud and mad and free.

He stood on shaking legs, raised his arms wide, and turned to face Davy Jones.

"Oi, you ugly bastard!" he yelled. "I'm free from your fucking deal now!"

The storm cracked above him.

The sea rebelled.

And the battle—was only just beginning.
