Madam Leng sat in the tea room drinking tea as she read news paper. The butler walked in
"Old madam. Young master has issued an order of locking madam Leng up"
"What? Why is that?" Madam Leng asked
"I don't know. He just said the guard should lock her up and never let her out of the room and she shouldn't visit miss Leng Yumo" he said
"Grandma" Lu Jingyan said walking in
"What is the problem?" Madam Leng asked
"Xuanmo locked up mother in law. And doesn't allow anyone to see her nor allow her leave the room" Jingyan said afraid of what might happen
"Is there a problem?" Madam Leng asked.
Lu Jingyan wondered if she should tell her grandma the truth about Leng Meixuan and Ning Ruomo putting the butter in the scones
"Jingyan" madam Leng called "are you hiding something?"
"I, I don't know if I should tell you" Lu Jingyan said
"About what?" Madam Leng asked
"Grandma" Leng Xuanmo called as he walked into the tea room
"Xuanmo. Yumo is awake" he said
"Really? I would go see her right away" madam Leng said forgetting about Ning Ruomo asked she got up and leave for Yumo room
"Don't tell her anything" Xuanmo said
"She'd know sooner or later" Lu Jingyan said
"Don't worry. I would tell her very soon" Leng Xuanmo said as he was about to leave
"Won't you go see Yumo?" He asked
"I would go later" she said as she sat on the chair.
"Alright" he said and leave.
"Young missus. Some of miss Yumo friends are here" a maid said
"Alright. I will go receive them personally" lu Jingyan said
"Should I inform young master?" The butler asked
"Don't worry. I would handle this"
The grand doors of Leng Manor opened, and a group of Leng Yumo's friends stepped inside, their laughter forced and eyes darting around the opulent hall. They exchanged sharp glances, whispering among themselves, clearly plotting how to confront the absent Lu Jingyan.
"do you think she can be at home and not come to school?" A girl asked
"Exactly," another added, her voice low and venomous. "Yumo isn't answering her phone, maybe she travelled." Another asked
"Who travels like that without a goodbye? Something's off."
A third scoffed. "Maybe she was poisoned by someone. And they didn't let us know and lied she had traveled."
The words hung in the air like smoke, sharp and accusatory. A hush fell over the group, each imagining the worst Leng Yumo harmed, Lu Jingyan behind it, and no one willing to tell them the truth.
One girl's voice shook with barely concealed rage. "That wife. Maybe she has something to do with it. Someone like Lu Jingyan. She always looked down on everyone. Do you think she'd stop at nothing to get what she wants?"
"Climbing the social ladder and harming our Leng Yumo. That's too far"
"Yumo. Such pure hearted soul, all because she didn't accept the fallen princess as her sister in law, she's going through hell"
"Sister in law? If I have the chance I would break her legs. Sister in law"
"Hush. We haven't really confirmed the matter. What if Yumo was poisoned and didn't get to receive treatment and is laying at home?" Another asked
"So you mean? She wasn't only poisoned but also deprived of treatment? That going to far?"
"Now I want to know who thy hell is this sister in law. Who dared to make our Momo suffer like this?"
"Sister in law. Now I want to see her more than anything and rip her face off"
