Su Ming couldn't understand the language of the Dark Elves, but seeing the Cursed Warrior take the attack and then throw back his head to roar, he could roughly guess the meaning.
It must be saying: 'I withstood Odin's attack, took the Eternal Spear, and this brag can last a lifetime.'
But that was just a warm-up. The combination of Su Ming and the Godslayer is not something a nameless pawn can handle.
With determination, Su Ming gripped his weapon with both hands and quickly pursued the retreating Cursed Warrior, his speed far outpacing the reaction capabilities of a strength-based opponent.
The golden spear directly pierced the chest of the monster who was still shaking its head, and Su Ming brushed past, grasping the spear tip protruding from the enemy's back and yanking hard.
A large burst of blood spray suddenly exploded.
The Godslayer accurately struck the Cursed Warrior's heart, generating barbs and other blades internally to utterly destroy the surrounding nerves and blood vessels.
The Cursed Warrior's strengths lie in powerful brute force and battle madness, weapons devoid of pain are always difficult to deal with.
But for Su Ming, it's not a problem.
Although the Godslayer had transformed into a spear, its sharp attributes remained unchanged, its bloodthirsty desires and unique Transformation Ability allowed it to pass through the enemy's heart and cause sufficient destruction rapidly.
Even as the Cursed Warrior crashed to the ground, its large face bristling with spikes and sharp angles seemed to carry a smile.
Su Ming flicked the blood off the spear, turned, and walked into the palace, not even giving the corpse on the ground a second glance. Behind him came the wave-like cheers of the guards.
This feeling was strange because no one ever cheered for Deathstroke after a kill before, Asgard is truly... marvelous.
The warriors watched as the red cape disappeared through the door; their king remained as powerful as ever, standing tall like the World Tree in these special times.
Thinking of this, many couldn't help but turn to look in the direction of Yggdrasil.
However, the massive tree that once obscured the sky wasn't filled with glow as usual; at this moment, it stood in the distance, dark and towering.
Perhaps due to its enormous size, after the flames extinguished, the bare branches still faintly smoldered.
The Immortal Palace Warriors turned their heads, dragging the huge corpse away, but hearts firm with the Will of Fire.
'Where leaves dance, fire will burn...'
All of this was the arrangement of the Divine King, truly inscrutable, indeed Odin's wisdom is unmatched.
............
Su Ming, covered in sticky blood, brought Gullveig to the place of healing, meeting Frigga.
The Queen of the Immortal Palace was now helping healers tend to Heimdall in a sickbed filled with high-tech style. Above, various holographic projections floated, numerous data indicators and runes densely displayed.
But simultaneously, the Spirit Light of Magic also fluctuated in the room, and the sunlight outside the window quietly spilled into the infirmary.
"Your Majesty the God King."
The medical officer and maids immediately bowed, looking at the bloodstained Odin with reverent eyes.
"Continue the treatment. From now on, when healing the injured, you need not bow to anyone."
Su Ming calmly replied. Though the medical facilities were advanced, the doctors didn't seem very professional.
Heimdall lay quietly, most of his external wounds already treated. Although unclear how it was done, the previously numerous bullet holes had healed.
Yet, he still had not woken up.
Now, with his armor removed, Heimdall lay bare-chested, appearing exceptionally robust.
Over two meters tall, his thick hair and beard resembled a lion's mane, his white skin and brown hair exuding the spirit of an Immortal Palace Warrior.
With outsiders present, Frigga could only bow to the impostor Odin, who seemed much more easygoing than usual, casually gesturing for her to speak as she straightened.
"How is his condition?"
"The external injuries are no longer an issue, but the weapon that hit him was very special, it also seemed to damage his soul somewhat, we can only wait."
Su Ming removed Heimdall's weapon from his back, placed it in his hand, arranging him into his usual favorite stance of standing with a sword.
"Wake up, Heimdall, Asgard needs you."
The giant treasure sword was placed on Heimdall, the giant's hands clasped around the hilt resting on his chest.
But he still remained unconscious.
"You can't save him that way," Frigga said to Su Ming, having never seen anyone heal others' injuries with words.
Su Ming cast his one eye at her: "Perhaps others can't, but Heimdall is different. When one always remembers their duty, they simply can't sleep."
Sure enough, as he finished speaking, Heimdall opened his eyes. When the giant sword was in his hands, he recalled his duty of watching over the Rainbow Bridge, determinedly opening his eyes.
"Your Majesty, Queen."
Heimdall's voice was hoarse, but he sat up from the bed and bowed to the two.
Su Ming glanced at Frigga with a proud look, his gaze illuminating his golden armor, even the grease wasn't that noticeable:
"No need for formalities, my good friend, you still need rest, now tell me, tell your King, who harmed you."
"The Giants, along with the Frost Giants, and some Midgard People." Heimdall took a sip of water brought by a maid, slightly calming his breath, and informed Su Ming of the concerned intelligence.
Frigga looked at Su Ming with curiosity, after all, the fake Odin in front of her was a Midgard Person.
However, Su Ming already knew it was Hydra's doing, he just needed to know which leader was heading it.
"Do you remember the appearance of that Midgard Person? Can you describe them?"
Su Ming gently coaxed for more information, as Hydra's leaders all have very distinct features.
Octopus Head, no face skin, gold-rimmed glasses, loves wearing tight clothes, once the key traits are known, Su Ming immediately could identify them.
"They were wearing black leather robes, mostly with strange pig-like faces, but their leader had a purple cloth covering the face."
Purple cloth...
Su Ming knew who it was, Baron Zemo, the most insidious guy within Hydra.
It's just unclear whether Old Zemo crawled out from Hell, or if Little Zemo had put on the mask early.
If it's Little Zemo, that guy is a selfish person wearing Hydra's skin.
All that Hydra or NAZI stuff, he doesn't believe a word, he lives only for himself and his family.
In past comic history, Little Zemo's father was killed by Steve and Baki, Little Zemo tried countless times, plotted countless times, finally after decades succeeded in defeating Captain America, capturing the Winter Soldier.
Bear in mind, that was Captain America, not Batman, surviving from Steve requires real skill.
And over those decades, dozens of failed plans, he was able to escape, it couldn't be explained by luck alone.
But contrary to everyone's expectations, after capturing the Winter Soldier, Little Zemo didn't kill Baki, but brought him to his father's grave, letting Baki apologize to Old Zemo.
Then Little Zemo told Baki, he was just jealous of Captain America having relatives by his side.
He never thought about revenge, just wanted Captain America to feel the pain of losing family, a pain that's very brief, because strong people like him and Captain America recover from pain quickly.
Then become even stronger.
He could kill Baki, but there's no need.
Finally, he left the Winter Soldier, departed by himself, since then Little Zemo embarked on an undefinable path.
Though most of the time he still did bad things, sometimes robbing a treasure, or causing trouble for S.H.I.E.L.D., but when facing alien invaders, Zemo and his team would also step up.
The Thunder Agents had saved Parallel Worlds, Little Zemo even donned the Star-Spangled Banner as the superhero 'Citizen V'.
If Zemo appears here now, then he surely uses Hydra and the Frost Giants as pawns to achieve his goals.
Now it's about what the goal is, whether it's related to the Great Serpent.
Strictly speaking, last time in battle with Old Zemo, he was deceived to death by the Red Skull, it didn't have much to do with Su Ming.
And how old is Zemo now? Fourteen? Or even younger?
It's terrifying, leading an army at fourteen to attack Asgard, and even allying with the Frost Giants, it feels like a protagonist template...
However, Su Ming vaguely sensed, Zemo would not relate to the Great Serpent, because destroying the Nine Realms has no benefit to him, even this is something Little Zemo always tried to avoid.
Only a crazy orphan like the Red Skull's daughter can do such a thing.
So here's the question, all invading forces have been mostly dealt with, yet not a single force has released the Great Serpent, this is intriguing.
Mephisto was hired by a deal with the Great Serpent, and the Great Serpent must first escape the seal to communicate with Old Mo, acquiring the Destruction Maidens as leverage.
Certainly, someone must have released him first.
"Rest and heal, no rush to return to the Rainbow Bridge."
Su Ming comforted Heimdall with a couple of words, indicated to him to lay back down, while he himself took Frigga to a secluded place, he needed to talk with the Queen.
Zemo is now out of sight, that guy with a large army just vanished into thin air, but when the time comes, he'll certainly show himself.
No response from Gin's side, the matters of the Great Serpent's seal and Hammer of Winter will be investigated by The Ancient One.
When Horse-faced Thunder God Bill finds Mephisto, Mephisto's army will also withdraw.
Now Su Ming plans to find Hel, see what exactly she's up to, if possible, exchange the souls of Gin's deceased sisters back.
Odin played a hand of borrowed sword to kill, Hel was merely the sword, the real issue lies with Odin as the killer.
Su Ming felt it might be that Gin and the others knew some secret Odin couldn't let known, thus needed to be silenced.
Of course, this inference stems from Su Ming's usual dark thinking, his mindset is just that dark.
