After retiring from her shift, Kim Eun-Ji came straight to her home where her mother, Kim Eun-Seol, greeted her with her usual motherly affectionate smile, easing most of her anxiety.
"Is something wrong, Eun-Ji?" Eun-Soel asked, noticing her daughter looked distracted.
"No, Mom. Everything's alright. I just… was worried about the radiation." Eun-Ji said.
Eun-Seol came out of the kitchen and gently hugged her, and caressing her back, she said, "Don't worry too much about it. Did you not hear that our new leader, that handsome young man, can save us? Everything will be alright."
Eun-Ji stiffened momentarily hearing her mention Max, but then she forced a smile and hummed, "Mm. I hope so."
Who could know their children better than their mother?
So, even if Eun-Ji hadn't stiffened, she might have noticed something wrong anyways, let alone now that she felt the change.
