After Max left in the evening, Natalie chatted with Sophie and her mother while they played board games to pass the time until it was time to go to sleep.
Natalie wanted to sleep, knowing Max would come late, but she also wanted to be awake when he did, so she could hug him and talk.
For this reason, she stayed awake, tossing and turning in her bed and as time passed, the thoughts she was trying to suppress started coming to mind.
