Someone splashed a bit of water on my face and gave me something to drink. "It'll help," he said. Was that Danzo? My vision started to clear up. Yeah, it was Danzo! No, that's not right. I tried to think. Yeah, it was Daizen! The teacher. I was back at the clan. I was safe!

Our sensei was a bad influence. A really bad influence. Oh, and I'm never drinking again.
The summary was this. With the results out, we were all chunin. And our Sensei issued the great statement. "If you are old enough to be chunins. You are old enough to drink." Then it went downhill from there.
We had just received news that Shinzo had a few broken bones and a broken pride, but Sakumo had saved him just in time, which was a load off my chest, as I seriously did not want to die by a crazy Mangekyo wielder. Then shortly after the results came out. Telling us we all passed.
Then, Well I don't remember much but Daizen knew a bit.
He gave me a brief summary.
Apparently, my whole team showed up at the clan compound flat out drunk out of our minds and each singing a different song. Then we proceeded to pour our hearts out. Souta had shared about his crush on Rina. Rina had spilled how her parents were asking her to get 'close' to me. I was crying about Uchiha Madara's return, and someone called Kaguya. At the same time, Kagenori Sensei was saying something about retirement.
My bodyguards had been near me. But they couldn't exactly stop us from drinking. And they had stories. Boy, did they have stories about our journey to the clan house. From what I heard. It was one hell of a memorable night. I just couldn't remember it.
Souta woke up and joined me for Brunch. Rina woke up. Took one look at Souta, then ran out. At least someone remembers. "What's wrong with her?" Souta asked. "You told her you like her. Next time, get flowers."
"Wait, what?"
Sensei arrived at the table. Reina began setting up another plate. "Did anyone see my coat?"
"You are wearing it."
"Oh yes, yes I am."
He sat down. "What happened?"
Souta raised his head and glared. "You did!"
"Oh, C'mon. It's not as if I shoved the bottle down your throat." Then he stopped and asked in an unsure voice. "Did I?"
We both turned our heads to Emi. "Did he?"
"No." We relaxed and went back to the food.
I'm never drinking again!

For the next week or so, we were just monitoring intelligence coming in and going out. The Chunin exams had been a disaster. Not just for the village's reputation, but for me personally as well. Due to those coincidences, I had gained a great boost in reputation. Which was a good thing, but it also meant I got a huge target on my back. I know you would say that I was being strange. But I was not. Really not. All those MCs in the LNs you read do not fear their reputations because they have the power to back it up. I did not.
Yeah, I know you will say that I had the strength of an A-rank Attack with the cluster bombs. But if you think that makes me anywhere near ready to take on a Jonin. Then you are mad. It's like giving a kid an AK. Does it make him dangerous? Yes? Does it make him better than a special forces soldier with a handgun or a knife? I seriously doubt that.
The best car in the world won't help you get to the hospital if you don't know how to drive.
The Hokage told Sensei to continue being our captain. Our missions outside the village were suspended by the Hokage. The reaction had been more severe than we thought. Now I was famous as a once-in-a-century fuinjutsu genius. This made my whole clan a target because of the Yami. Many believed that we were experts now, just because of the Yami. Which was true. Which made it worse.
We had our own security detail at the compound now. I know you would say we were overreacting. After all, we were just a few tagmakers. But we weren't. You know the battle that won the war and made Namikaze Minato famous enough to be Hokage? The battle of Kannabi Bridge?
Why was that bridge important? Yes, that's right. It was the supply line.
Unleashing one new technique made me a genius. Someone competent enough to raise a clan from dust. Making two made me a serious threat if allowed to grow.
And finally, my name appeared in the Bingo book. It wasn't much. Only 50000 Ryo. But it was there.
So instead of missions. I decided to focus on building my clan instead for a while. And slowly pushing myself to collect SS and make myself stronger.
I pulled up my Status. I really thought the System was nowhere near as strong as all those LNs made it to be. Honestly. I had so few meaningful Interactions with it that I sometimes forgot I had it.
