I didn't get far before Atlas's arms wrapped tightly around my waist and pulled me to him. My lycan gave back control when she realized we were caught. How thoughtful.
We both tumbled to the ground, but Atlas, being the gentleman, took the fall this time — unlike before, when he had pushed me down himself.
"Hmm… I keep chasing you, and you keep losing," Atlas teased with a smirk.
"Well, it's not my fault you're too fast. If you slowed down, then it would be a fair chase," I retorted, rolling my eyes as I stood up.
"I do enjoy our chases though, little one," Atlas said, amusement shining in his eyes as he dusted himself off.
"Whatever, I know you're just teasing me," I huffed.
He tried not to laugh, which only made me glare harder. God, if he wasn't so hot, I'd punch him. No, wait… I'd kiss him. What?
"You wouldn't have had to chase me anyway. Blame that idiot hanging from Niya's window," I muttered.
In a flash, the amusement vanished from Atlas's eyes, replaced by anger.
