Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: Wings of the Raven

We eventually finished the ritual, and one by one, we felt the transformation settle into our bones. After all, the five of us were already among the most powerful witches and wizards in history. Completing something like this? Honestly, it was almost effortless when we worked together.

Godric's Animagus form revealed itself first—a massive, golden lion. He prowled around the chamber with the kind of confidence that only a lion could embody, letting out a low, satisfied roar.

Salazar slithered into a sleek, black serpent form, his movements fluid and predatory, eyes glinting like twin shards of obsidian.

Helga had chosen a badger—strong, compact, and surprisingly fast, her Animagus form embodying resilience and determination.

Rowena's transformation was breathtaking. Her eagle form glided effortlessly across the room, her keen eyes scanning every detail with precision and grace.

And then there was me. My feathers sprouted dark and iridescent, the sleek black plumage glinting faintly in the candlelight. I stretched my wings experimentally, feeling the currents of air respond to my every motion. My Animagus form—a raven—fit perfectly with my house symbol, of course, but also with my nature. Small, quick, intelligent, and capable of flight, my raven form was perfect for scouting and reconnaissance.

Flying up to the rafters, I flapped my wings and felt the thrill of the wind under them. I could see the entire room from above, every movement, every detail. My reflexes were razor-sharp now, and in combination with the cat-like reflexes I had recently purchased from the system store, I was nearly untouchable in this form.

"This… is incredible," I called down, my voice echoing slightly from above. "I can literally see everything from up here. Scouting, planning, spying—it's perfect."

Rowena swooped past me, wings slicing gracefully through the air. "You do realize how useful that will be," she said, her eagle form glinting majestically. "Even just for castle security."

Salazar hissed from the floor, coiling and uncoiling with serpentine elegance. "It seems… fitting. Our forms, our houses… even our abilities align with them. Clever, very clever."

I perched on a high beam, ruffling my feathers slightly, and grinned to myself. Flying, scouting, the perfect stealth form… this is going to be fun.

It wasn't just a ritual anymore. It was a declaration: the founders were ready to shape Hogwarts into a school like no other. And now, with wings and claws and fangs at our disposal, we were unstoppable.
