Chapter 281 - Chapter 166: Pikachu: Ash, Use Quick Attack! Smash Fire Blast With One Punch!

Ash's abilities have already been proven, and this last battle could have been avoided. After all, choosing a three-on-three against an Elite was just to determine if Ash had the ability to protect Gardevoir. Now Ash has fully demonstrated his potential and self-protection capability.

In the eyes of Mewtwo and Team Rocket, an Elite Level isn't much. But if Ash can protect himself, he can definitely leave unless the opponent is specifically prepared with tools against Psychic Types.

Right now, the reason Blaine wants to continue this battle is to see just how strong Ash really is, as he seems confident enough to contend with an Elite Peak-level Magmar.

You have to know, his Magmar is one of the top-tier Elites, and even if Koga's Crobat were to play, he'd have the confidence to take it down quickly.

If the Champion doesn't appear, who can rival him? That's his Magmar!

He really wants to see how Ash dares to have the confidence to fight against his Magmar.

"Blaine, what did you just say? This battle doesn't need to be fought, right? Then I'm leaving." But as Blaine was thinking about testing Ash's abilities, Ash waved his hand, indicating he was going to leave.

Blaine was stunned for a moment, and then hurriedly shouted, "Come back! Come back! Who said it's over? I said it doesn't need to be fought, not that we shouldn't fight!"

"You already know I can protect Gardevoir, so why fight?" Ash paused his steps and turned back to Blaine, speaking with a hint of helplessness.

If he could, he really didn't want to get involved in Pokemon battles because Pokemon battles are just that—Pokemon battles!

What's the point of a human getting involved!

So, unless absolutely necessary, Ash rarely steps in unless it's a particularly required condition.

Like at the beginning when catching Pikachu, capturing Gengar that no one else could in his team, or taming the prideful Aerodactyl, Ash would step in. Usually, if the Pokemon can fight, he'll let them do so.

He wants to become a Pokemon Master, not a Fighting Master or the world's strongest human...

"That's true, but I'm still curious about your abilities. You mentioned your power is Aura Power, right? But from what I understand of Aura Power, it doesn't have the same effects as your powers do—not to mention creating barriers similar to Psychic barriers."

Blaine stated the real purpose of this battle, which was to see what Ash's power is really like, and to confirm Ash's true strength.

Being able to protect himself is one thing; how much combat power he has is another. Right now, he's very curious about Ash's Aura Power.

Of course, if he sees Ash getting beaten badly, he'll naturally have Magmar stop, as using an Elite Peak-level Magmar against a child is somewhat shameful for Blaine.

In response, Ash could only sigh and then face Magmar helplessly: "Alright, Blaine, since you said so... if your Magmar ends up traumatized, don't blame me."

Magmar: ???

You're kidding! Traumatized by you? It's already merciful if I don't roast you to a crisp!

In fact, ever since Magmar entered the field, he was full of questions about why his Trainer would have him fight a human. If he's not careful with the heat, this human could end up dead!

Elite Level is another tier of existence, not to mention he's Elite Peak Level—with full power, he could burn down a small town. His flames are much hotter compared to the magma inside a volcano.

Sending someone of his caliber to fight a kid... aren't they worried he'd accidentally kill this kid!

Yet this kid is even more arrogant, claiming he could traumatize him. Does he really not know the difference between humans and Pokemon?

Blaine chuckled upon hearing this and said, "If you can traumatize Magmar, then go ahead. If Magmar's mental toughness is that weak, he wouldn't deserve to be at this Elite level."

"Bubba!" Magmar beckoned Ash with a finger, indicating that Ash could attack freely, and if he dodged even once, he would count it as a loss!

"I'm attacking first? Are you sure?" Ash asked with a strange expression.

"Bubba!" Go ahead!

Although Magmar was briefly puzzled as to why Ash could understand him, he immediately shrugged it off and allowed Ash to attack him at will.

He's a dignified Elite Peak-level Magmar, afraid of a human? Even if this human seems to have decent skills.

"Pika pi, Pikachu!!" It's you, Ash!

Pikachu shouted from behind Ash, standing in the Trainer position where Ash had stood earlier.

Gary and the others, as outsiders watching this scene, felt a strange sense of amusement, as if Pikachu was directing Ash as a Pokemon onto the field... Have the roles of Trainer and Pokemon been reversed?
