Alice found her father; if Alexia was lawless, her own strength alone would indeed not be enough.
As for Beatrice, the War God, her current position was Alexia's bodyguard.
It was clear that Beatrice had a better relationship with Alexia, so trying to win her over to deal with Alexia together was not very realistic.
She had to rely on the King of Midgar's power.
Alice met her father, the King, and recounted all the events and their progression.
"So, have you found evidence that Alexia killed Habu?"
"Although there's no explicit evidence, all clues point to Alexia!"
"Alas, Alice, you disappoint me greatly!"
When she heard these words, Alice froze in place.
She had never imagined her father, the King, would say such a thing to her at a time like this.
Klaus, as the King of Midgar, had his own plans.
He intended for Alexia to join Shadow Garden, and Alice to side with The Order.
Alice had clearly already boarded The Order's pirate ship.
But Klaus hadn't expected Alice to be so foolish, to be so deceived by The Order that she began to distrust her own sister.
Now she was no match for Alexia, yet she still wanted him to help her apprehend Alexia.
"Father, what do you mean by that!"
"Do you know how many wrongful cases the King of Midgar handles in a year?"
"This..."
"At least a thousand to start..."
"And a large number of wrongful cases are not even recorded; the royal capital alone has a million citizens, so some wrongful cases are quite normal."
"How can there be so many?" Alice was very surprised.
"You may be in a high position and not know everything that happens in the lower strata; the wrongful cases you hear about are all concerning nobles, such as this noble died, that noble died!"
"Then guess why there are so many wrongful cases?"
"I don't know!" Alice said.
"Then let's look at this problem from another perspective: if you have power and authority, how long would it take you to kill an ordinary person?"
"As a princess, how can one harm others without reason!" Alice replied.
"Answer my question!"
"Three days!"
"Three days? Less than three hours would be enough!"
"You ignore so many wrongful cases, yet you insist on dealing with your sister, and you're making such a big fuss, wanting me to step in and confront your sister! Alice, you disappoint me greatly!"
After saying that, Klaus pushed the door open and left.
As a princess, she could pretend to be confused or ignorant, but she couldn't actually be confused or ignorant.
And Alice had achieved both; she was both confused and ignorant.
To verify her father, the King's statement, Alice went alone to the Knights Order's underground archive.
A large number of cases were recorded there.
Entering the room, it was full of dust, clearly no one had cleaned it.
Alice randomly opened a book.
It recorded:
A wife had an affair, then the husband went to the wife's lover to beg for mercy, and finally, the husband, unable to bear the humiliation, went home, killed his wife, and then committed suicide.
The more Alice read the details, the angrier she became.
The records were completely nonsensical.
All utter fabrication.
Many details clearly revealed the truth, yet the final conclusion was that the wife had an affair, the husband killed the wife, and then committed suicide.
Just by reading the dossier, Alice could tell that the wife had been coveted by another man, then forcibly abducted, after which the husband bravely resisted but also died at the hands of the other party.
Alice looked through other cases.
There were countless similar wrongful cases.
The victims were mostly powerless and influential commoners at the very bottom.
They were wronged, and no one sought justice for them.
Alice was very indignant and questioned the people managing the archives about who handled these cases.
The result was that a dead person handled them.
Moreover, this person had been dead for ten years, and the cases were handled five years ago.
With wrongful cases handled by a dead person, the result was no evidence to contradict, and none of the subordinates told her the truth.
Facing Alice's interrogation, they all lowered their heads one by one.
Alice couldn't possibly kill them all; she could only leave in anger.
By then, it was already dark outside.
Alice was walking home when Alexia suddenly appeared and blocked her path.
"Alexia, what do you want to do?"
Alice said with a cold face.
She no longer had any good feelings for Alexia; Alexia's actions were lawless, killing the Vice-Captain of her Crimson Knight Order. She was no different from those who persecuted others.
"I want to play poker with you!"
"Play poker?"
"A new game released by Mitsugoshi Company! It's usually played by three people!"
"I have nothing to play with you!" Alice said, then started to leave.
But Alexia stopped her.
"You must come with me today!" Alexia said.
"Impossible!"
Ten seconds later, Alice was pinned to the ground by Alexia.
The gap between the two was growing wider and wider; Alexia only took this long because she didn't want to hurt Alice.
If she really wanted to kill Alice, one second would be enough.
Alexia took out a circular device, a special item made by Eta.
Alexia had borrowed it from Sino.
It was similar to the Demon Sealing Chains, but somewhat different.
When used, it could eliminate the opponent's magic, but one also had to expend a corresponding amount of magic. This item could absorb both parties' magic and then cancel them out.
Alexia's total magic was far greater than Alice's.
Alice quickly felt her magic being drained.
"Where has all my magic gone, Alexia, what have you done?"
Alexia did not answer Alice.
It wasn't Sino who wanted to play poker with Alice, but Alexia.
There were many ways to get into a woman's heart, but one method was very efficient: playing poker.
Alexia drained Alice's magic to prevent Alice from causing destruction with her magic.
Alice was led by Alexia to a special room.
"Just playing poker, I can accept that!" Alice thought to herself.
Alexia had prepared three chairs: a high chair, a low chair, and a medium chair.
Alice sat on the low chair, referred to as 'bottom'.
Alexia sat on the medium chair, referred to as 'middle'.
Sino sat on the high chair, referred to as 'top'.
Alice initially didn't react much.
Ten minutes later, Alice's expression changed... "Why is it this kind of poker!"
