Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: Titan Nova, One Strike to the Soul

Titan Nova!

Damian brought his palm down on the Cyclops's massive head.

An overwhelming Cosmo compressed the space below. A gigantic golden hand fell through the air.

Sensing danger, the Cyclops threw back its head, raised a massive hand, and tried to grab this dazzling golden "bug."

Die!

The golden palm slammed down on the Cyclops's brow.

That arm as thick as a small building buckled and shattered, and then the skyscraper‑sized, misshapen torso took the full brunt of the blow.

Thump…

Under an incomparable force, the colossus was crushed like a collapsing tower—smashed flat, flesh bursting, spine snapping, the body blown apart.

Rumble!

Dozens of meters of giant flesh couldn't withstand it. With one slap the Cyclops hit the ground and detonated, like a high‑rise rigged with TNT.

In an instant, the body burst completely—black‑red gore and chunks of meat filled the air, the skull exploded, and blood stained the earth a dark red‑black with a wave of stench.

The force of that slap didn't even ebb—it pressed the corpse into the earth, shattered the ground, punched out a colossal crater, and sent red magma gushing up to swallow the surviving giants.

Marin, jolted awake by the blast, looked up just in time to see the skyscraper of a giant splattered with one slap. She didn't even dare breathe.

She stared, dazzled, at the musclebound man in the sky, sheathed in golden light, who had just unleashed Titan Nova.

This…

Holding Marin, Shura stared, at a loss. His blade‑keen eyes were round as saucers.

The sheer Cosmo and terrifying force had almost turned the world upside down.

He asked himself—he couldn't do it.

In fact, no one in the Sanctuary could—not even His Holiness.

So this mystery powerhouse hadn't even gone all out before. If that Titan Nova had landed on him, he'd be dead even in a Gold Cloth.

Who was he?

Far off, Shaina, Misty of Lizard, Moses of the White Whale, Derimi of Sagitta, and the other Silver Saints stared in horror.

That look of stunned disbelief was on every face—especially Seiya, whose jaw nearly hit the ground.

They had been heading for Mount Etna to stop the so‑called revival of an evil god.

When they saw the Cyclops rise, its terrifying aura, and its skyscraper bulk, fear rooted them—no one dared advance.

A Cyclops was a creature of the mythic age. Even Gold Saints had no ready way to deal with such a monster—never mind a bunch of Silver Saints.

Just as they were preparing to pull back, a being blazing with Cosmo shot into the sky and killed the giant myth‑beast with one hand.

Head and body alike turned to blood paste.

His palm even punched through the earth—magma spouted.

They had seen the high‑rise rise, the guests feast, and the high‑rise fall.

Shocked speechless, they all had the same question.

Who was the one who swatted a Cyclops to death?

Was there such a person in the Sanctuary?

His power was too much!

.

Hundreds of kilometers away atop the black tower, a shrill, piercing scream split the air.

The woman in the black dress howled, fury unbound: "Impossible—no, no, absolutely impossible…"

The mirror's image froze on the Cyclops's ruined corpse.

In a rage, she smashed whatever she could reach. Black hair flew as tables and chairs crashed.

She could not believe what she'd just seen.

In the mirror, the Cyclops that had been about to wreck the world was now a puddle of meat, swallowed by lava.

The Cyclops she'd labored to revive had been killed with one slap?

Impossible!

"Bishop, go kill him—kill him! I want him cut into a thousand pieces."

She wheeled on the man in the tailcoat and barked orders.

"Miss, that man is too strong. We'll need to plan carefully."

The man gave a wry smile.

Even he found the scene hard to believe.

One slap to punch through the earth and boil the magma.

Fresh out of the seal, the Cyclops—dead at the hands of a mere human?

That musclebound masked man was too fearsome. Even if he struck, he couldn't be sure of victory.

"That masked man again. I'll curse him—curse him straight to hell."

The woman's pupils turned black. Black miasma wrapped her, and her lips spilled a rasping string of blasphemies, as if truly cursing him…

.

Damian drifted down and exhaled.

The Cyclops's corpse hissed as the boiling lava ate it away. Black smoke roiled. It was dead—past dead.

That was Titan Nova.

Compress space with overwhelming Cosmo; at release, unleash a world‑wrecking force that destroys everything—like a supernova.

Using Titan Nova's wide‑area strike on a Cyclops was just right.

The move cost plenty, too—one Titan Nova had drained half his Cosmo.

At least the mythic Cyclops was flattened. The fight was over.

Glug, glug…

Red magma rolled, devouring the Cyclops's remains until that cracked giant eye burned away.

A crimson, crystalline orb floated above the lava.

"What is that? I sense a strange ripple."

Damian frowned at the vermilion sphere.

"That's divine blood."

Shura's voice came from behind. "A Cyclops is a lifeform of the mythic age, carrying Titan blood. Though it was tainted, the divinity in its blood remains intact.

"That divine blood holds the Cyclops's divinity."

"His Holiness ordered me to retrieve it."

Shura took out an ancient bottle and held the mouth toward the droplet. The soccer‑ball‑sized mass of divine blood seemed drawn in—thinned to a thread and flowed into the palm‑sized vial. The ripples vanished.

He'd barely stoppered it and moved to put it away when a big hand reached out before him.

Its owner said only two words: "Give me."

"His Holiness's orders are absolute. I must take the divine blood back."

Swallowing, Shura held firm and didn't hand it over.

The air froze.

Three seconds later, a searing golden light kindled on that hand—Cosmo spiking.

"The Cyclops you killed—the spoils are yours to dispose of."

Shura promptly offered the bottle with both hands—no hesitation.

Damian took it and nodded—wise enough to read the room, not a blockhead.

If Shura had refused, he wouldn't have minded letting him taste a Titan Nova…

Come to think of it, a Gold Saint's blood can turn a Bronze Cloth into a Gold Cloth, and Athena's blood can awaken God Cloths.

So what about pouring divine blood on a headstone?

He would have this divine blood, no matter what.
