Chapter 186 - Chapter 185: Icarus on the Run

Boom!

Hawk was slammed down from the air by Icarus' heavy punch, crashing loudly into the floating mountain behind him.

With the loud crash, the petrified surface of the mountain peeled off.

Hawk's form flashed, appearing instantly behind Icarus, both fists swinging out.

The burning Little Cosmos gathered on his fists, striking out with absolute speed, forming a brilliantly deadly chain of punches resembling Phoenix's wings.

"Phoenix Wings!

"Boom—"

Equally sent flying, Icarus collided into another floating mountain, the massive impact sending the mountain careening sideways and crashing into another with a thunderous roar.

Hawk's form vanished again, and when he reappeared, it was already above Icarus' head.

Hands spread open, the burning Little Cosmos reached its peak, a dazzling Phoenix shadow instantaneously formed.

"Phoenix Wing Flight—"

The conjured Phoenix spread its wings at once, like an Immortal bird soaring, diving with a screech towards the downed Icarus.

Icarus' eyes narrowed, he swiftly rose, vacating the attack range.

Rumble rumble!

The floating mountain below relentlessly shuddered under the fierce Phoenix shockwave, finally gliding through space like out of a zero-gravity area, crashing with a roar onto the Lost World's ground.

The ground cracked on impact, the flowing golden magma beneath erupted violently like a volcanic explosion.

But...

Icarus remained unscathed.

"Indeed!"

"Whether it's Ultraman or Saint Warriors, there is a reason their ultimate moves shouldn't be unleashed too early."

Seeing his strongest attack motion evaded perfectly by Icarus, Hawk thought to himself.

If this were the battle's end, Icarus, even if not dead, would be left half-beaten by this move.

But the battle had just begun, Icarus' stamina and energy were still quite ample, causing this killing move to be wasted.

But it's okay.

Hawk's sword brows raised in challenge.

"Again!"

"Die!"

Icarus' eyes cold, the golden thermographic vision surged forth once more.

But...

"I've told you, for the Saint Warriors, the same moves are ineffective."

"Boom!"

Once more, his form blurred, seizing the moment Icarus was suspended firing his thermographic vision, appearing beside him as Hawk's whip-like leg lashed him away, followed by derisive laughter.

He was thrilled.

No other reason.

Saint Warriors were born to battle, only, since his Little Cosmos elevated to the Seventh Sense Little Cosmos, it's rare to encounter a fight that made his blood boil.

That's why he challenged Thor to Mars every week.

He needed to fight.

Wanted to fight.

And before him, from the Eternal Race, known as Marvel Superman, Icarus once again sparked that blood-boiling feeling.

Ladies and gentlemen, I love combat!

"Ha!"

"Shit!"

Icarus cursed instinctively turning away from Hawk's incoming punch, his form rapidly ascending.

"Boom!"

Hawk's fist smashed into a mountain entirely made of Adamantium, then glanced up at Icarus speeding into the sky.

The next second.

Boom!

Icarus' form reached instantly, with a thud, swiftly smacking Hawk downwards to the ground.

Their fight was fervent.

Hawk and Icarus' figures flickered continuously in the air, between floating mountains, among towering rainforest on the ground and the edge of cracked golden magma.

Possessing energy transformation similar to Superman, Icarus kept absorbing the Adamantium energy contained in the air, quickly replenishing his stamina and enhancing his strength and speed.

Hawk's Little Cosmos burned endlessly, the power from it providing endless energy support for Hawk.

Every move they made was lethal.

This wasn't a contest, it was a battle.

A battle deciding victory and survival.

But this troubled the peculiar creatures living in this Lost World.

Numerous flying peculiar creatures soared through the air, trying desperately to evade the aftermath of their battle.

The shockwaves from Hawk and Icarus's fight meant nothing to them, but colliding or even grazing them was utterly deadly.

Therefore...

In no time, the entire Lost World fell into chaos under Hawk and Icarus's battle.

Icarus' eyes coldly watched Hawk in front of him.

"Are you Ajak's man?"

"Tsk!"

Hawk sneered, snorted, flashing and reappearing behind Icarus, a whip kick striking Icarus: "Is that why you want me dead, to keep Ajak from knowing about you corralling the Mutant Race here?"

Icarus shifted, dodging Hawk's whip kick, with a boom, an explosion cloud appeared, then suddenly materialized before Hawk, clutching his waist and wrenching him towards the dense rainforest below.

"Phoenix Feather!"

"Bang, bang, bang—"

Hawk, who was carried by Icarus and smashed downwards, had countless burning, steel-like feathers shot out from the wings of his Phoenix Holy Armor, crashing onto Icarus's body like a dense rain of arrows as he tried to exchange injuries with him.

The blue-gold battle armor on Icarus got ragged at a visibly fast pace under the piercing of the Phoenix Feathers at close range.

However…

Icarus's eyes were cold, staring at the ground below, roaring.

"Ah!!"

"Boom—"

Like a meteorite striking the earth, the ground trembled at this moment, and the lands on both sides suddenly lifted and cracked with a sound.

The enormous sound exploded throughout the entire Lost World, and the sound struck like a hammer, echoing in the ears of every creature living in this lost world.

Flocks of Hell's Eagles flying in the sky fell from the air under this dull heavy noise.

The giant red-winged Screaming Snake also wailed and fell rapidly into the golden lava below.

Icarus's appearance was disheveled, his once seamless blue-gold battle armor now resembled a beggar's clothes, ragged and with golden blood flowing ceaselessly while he hovered in the air.

Hawk followed shortly after.

He was equally disheveled.

The light of the Phoenix Holy Armor dimmed, with countless fractures visibly appearing in every corner of the armor.

Under Hawk's eyes, blood also flowed.

Their eyes met.

Icarus's chest heaved as he panted.

Hawk was also slightly gasping for breath.

The next second.

Boom!

The two figures moved simultaneously, their fists collided once more, generating a massive shockwave from their fists, the shockwave sweeping across, collapsing the giant ancient trees in the Lost World with a sound.

Bang!

Icarus swiftly flew backwards, his back striking hard against a suspended mountain, his face turning pale as he spat out a mouthful of golden blood.

Hawk's back also hit the floating mountain, and he involuntarily let out a muffled grunt!

Icarus wiped his lips with his right hand, glancing down at the golden blood on the back of his hand, then stood expressionlessly in mid-air once more.

Hawk took a deep breath, his figure hovering, once again facing Icarus in the air.

On Skull Island.

Knowing they could leave today, Peter and Felicia stayed up all night, and when the sun rose the next day, the two, with dark circles under their eyes, sat in front of their stilt house, staring absentmindedly in the direction of King Kong Canyon.

"Peter."

"Hmm."

"Did Hawk say when he would be back last night?"

"I don't think so."

"Should we go and take a look?"

Felicia suggested to Peter, looking toward King Kong Canyon from which Hawk had yet to return after being out all night.

Peter immediately shook his head and looked at Felicia.

"I'll go check, you can't."

"Why not?"

"It's too dangerous there."

"Dangerous?"

Felicia chuckled at the younger Peter: "Did you forget when your abilities failed, it was me who chased away that big thigh monster?"

Just kidding.

Does he really think she's just a pretty face?

Isn't she also known as the Black Cat?

Peter twitched at the corner of his mouth but continued shaking his head: "Still no, you're pregnant, I'll go check, I'll be back soon."

Felicia, smiling at Peter's insistence, shrugged.

"Never mind, let's just wait a bit more, you shouldn't go either."

"Oh."

Peter's reply was straightforward.

Because he had almost blind faith in Hawk's strength, when Felicia said this, he also lost the urge to go find Hawk in King Kong Canyon.

Hawk could roam King Kong Canyon like it's uninhabited.

He could not.

Let's wait a bit more.

Peter and Felicia exchanged glances, then simultaneously turned their gaze back toward King Kong Canyon.

The next moment!

With a dramatic sound coming from the direction of King Kong Canyon, a blue-gold figure shot up from the canyon like a missile, then with a bang, a sonic boom cloud erupted, and without a backward glance, raced towards the massive storm system surrounding Skull Island.

As he flew outward, droplets of golden liquid dripped from the wounds on his body.

The next second.

Boom!

The Phoenix Holy Armor on Hawk was covered with countless visible fractures as he appeared in the air where Icarus had just been standing, his eyes instantly catching sight of Icarus, who, in less than a second, had already escaped into the brilliant, multicolored, thick lightning storm system.

Under Hawk's watch, Icarus's figure disappeared into the storm system, and the aura vanished instantly.

Hawk looked expressionlessly at Icarus fleeing in disgrace, choosing not to pursue.

Because his Holy Armor—

was shattered!
