"Molokai Island."
"Mauna Loa."
"This is..."
Hawk listened to the address Klaus provided, thought for a moment, and looked at Klaus: "Hawaii, forty-eight nautical miles east of Honolulu?"
As Klaus wondered which major figure in the Extraordinary World Hawk might be, he continued to look at Hawk with a sly smile.
"Yes, you were there three days ago."
"I've never been to that place, not even Hawaii."
Hawk glanced at Klaus.
The reason he could pinpoint locations so precisely after Klaus mentioned the names was entirely due to his excellent memory.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have pursued a career in law.
Hawk then looked at Klaus.
"Would you mind telling me about your experience on that island?"
"What can you offer me?"
Klaus playfully toyed with his wine glass, watching Hawk.
He could overlook chasing Catherine, whom he'd pursued for over five hundred years, if Hawk's mere presence was so overwhelming.
It's no big deal.
After all, his Wolf Blood was now unsealing, and chasing Catherine was merely an affront he felt from her.
Since someone vouched for Catherine now, there was no need to antagonize a powerful figure.
But...
"You want me to spare Catherine on account of your reputation; that's one thing."
"You want to know how I unsealed it, that's another."
"Will you give me another face?"
Klaus leaned back in the booth, spinning the whiskey glass on the table with his right hand.
Hawk smiled slightly, looking at Klaus, his hands open.
"Is that okay?"
"Of course!"
With a crooked smile, Klaus looked at Hawk, who once again wielded his Face Fruit: "As you wish."
Having said that.
He began to recount the story of how, on a full moon night three days ago, he went to Hawaii, to Molokai Island, forty-eight nautical miles east of Honolulu, to unseal his Wolf Blood, and saw 'Hawk' on the island.
"You know me well."
"Though I don't know how you know, you know me well."
"So you should know I've been searching for the key Doppelgänger to unseal my Wolf Blood for a long, long time."
"Initially, I thought Catherine's Doppelgänger Elena was the only one."
"But that's not the case."
"One of my Blood Servants told me on my way to Waterfall Town there were Doppelgängers on Molokai Island."
"Many."
"So I went, and I saw them."
"And it was there that I saw you."
"To be precise, many of you."
"Amidst a pit of bones."
"A pit entirely made up of your Doppelgänger. Many Doppelgängers piled into a pit of bones."
"..."
Hawk listened calmly to Klaus's story, glancing up at Klaus: "So you used my Doppelgänger to unseal the Wolf Blood?"
Klaus's lips curved upward.
"Yes."
"Apparently, someone there seems to have mastered the technique of creating Doppelgängers. They make you and then kill you."
"Cloning! Merrick!"
Hawk thought silently, looking at Klaus: "Can I ask if you found the place where they mass-produce my Doppelgänger?"
"I don't need to find it; I just need the blood of Doppelgängers. There's a pit of Doppelgängers, all I needed was for Elijah to grab a werewolf to join me."
"Coincidentally, the lie I spread had drawn all my potential enemies to Waterfall Town."
"I also found a local witch over there and calmly, successfully unlocked my Wolf Blood seal."
"Afterward, I came here to see those who tried to snatch the Moonstone, block my Wolf Blood unsealing."
"For what happened next, you already know, I came, and you came."
Klaus spoke calmly: "So, if you're asking whether I sounded any alarms, the answer is no. If you go to Molokai Island now, you should find what you want."
Hawk's heart stirred, looking at Klaus.
"You want me to leave Waterfall Town?"
"Of course."
Klaus didn't hide his thoughts: "I can't see through you; you're very powerful, but you're not my enemy, and I don't want you to become my enemy. The wisest approach is to give you what you want, so I pardon Catherine Pierce, and I also tell you about Molokai Island. My instinct tells me you'll be grateful."
Hawk heard this and met Klaus's gaze.
The next second.
He smiled slightly.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
Hawk then rose from the booth, "If I find what I'm looking for on Molokai Island, I owe you a favor, Klaus. You can find me anytime."
Klaus raised his head to look at Hawk.
"It's exactly what I wanted, thank you."
"Pardon Catherine Pierce, oh right, and Elena, since you don't need Elena anymore."
"Yes, I'll pardon them."
"I'm leaving."
Listening to Klaus's response, Hawk said nothing more, and turned around, silently disappearing before Klaus's eyes.
As Klaus felt the strong and stealthy aura disappear at the moment Hawk vanished, his expression changed.
Just then.
Elijah, dressed in a suit and looking more like a Wall Street elite lawyer than a vampire, came over from the back, sat in the booth where Hawk just sat, and looked at Klaus opposite: "You could ask him to find Michael."
