Chapter 321 - Chapter 274: Strategist Gwen Goes Online (First Release!)

On the sofa in the living room.

Hawk leaned against the sofa.

With her legs crossed, Gwen's eyes sparkled with wisdom as her pretty face calmly analyzed.

"You said the time Mephisto was ambushed by Yahweh was right after you obtained Blood God Madola's dimensional space, are you sure?"

"Mephisto said it himself."

"Then that's right."

"Let's assume, hypothetically, that this time Mephisto isn't just putting on a double act with Yahweh for you to see."

Gwen repeated her analysis, based on the premise that 'Mephisto is a good person,' and only then did she continue.

"You have allied with Mephisto."

"Yahweh is very unhappy."

"If you join forces, Yahweh doesn't stand a chance of reclaiming Earth."

"Originally, he planned to sneak into the village quietly, but now that he's exposed, if he wants to succeed, the best way is to first break the alliance between you and Mephisto."

"Blood God Madola is the key bait to break your alliance with Mephisto."

"Michael first impersonated Blood God Madola, deceiving Mephisto into thinking he and Yahweh were in cahoots."

"And to convince you of this, Madola died in front of you."

"He even left behind the dimension."

"If they're putting on a show, the belief is, never trust punctuation from Mephisto; rather, trust a dimension master's warning before death."

"Obviously, it's the latter."

"But!"

As Gwen acted as Hawk's intelligence analyst, she grew more excited as she spoke, pausing before continuing.

"Sowing discord is actually the most base tactic."

"Because as long as both parties being manipulated can calm down and start reconciling the information, the scheme will completely fail."

"Clearly, you are very calm."

Gwen glanced at Hawk, who was listening intently like a student to Dr. Stacy's lecture: "You haven't let anger cloud your judgment but instead thought first to contact Mephisto to see how he'd explain himself."

Upon hearing this, Hawk smiled slightly, much like a student being praised by Dr. Stacy.

Gwen continued.

"But Yahweh anticipated this."

"The key to successfully sowing discord is breaking contact between the two allies."

"So while luring you with Blood God Madola, he also sent Michael to ambush Mephisto."

"You mentioned earlier that as long as Mephisto is in the Hell Dimension, no matter how severely injured, he won't die, right."

"Correct."

Hawk answered Dr. Stacy's question: "Even if I don't go this time, the most Mephisto would become is a lone survivor at Michael's hands, but once Mephisto recovers, they can't kill him completely before Yahweh's Hell Angels are ready."

Michael cannot completely kill Mephisto.

Because at present, Hawk cannot kill Mephisto quickly either.

Gwen spread her hands.

"Exactly, why would Yahweh send Michael knowing he can't kill Mephisto at this time?"

"To weaken Mephisto's strength?"

Gwen looked at Hawk, who raised his hand to answer, smiled, and nodded: "That's part of it. But more so, while inciting you, he's also trying to undermine Mephisto. Think about whether Mephisto will come looking for you when he's freed?"

Hawk nodded.

"Definitely."

"But you have the Blood God Dimension's aura."

"And you've met Yahweh, so you should carry some of Yahweh's aura too, right."

Gwen said as she looked at Hawk: "Do you think Mephisto, upon seeing Yahweh's aura on you and a dimension that once belonged to Yahweh, will think his Hell Dimension is the result of your alliance with Yahweh and thus avoid meeting you."

Not only would he avoid meeting him.

Mephisto might drum up some Hell War God before the showdown with Yahweh to try to take him out first.

Hawk thought inside, trading glances with Gwen, his mind racing as he stroked his chin.

"So, you mean Yahweh's target of manipulation is actually Mephisto."

"The best targets for manipulation are those inherently suspicious."

"Those who are powerful and composed are immune to sowing discord."

"You belong to that kind."

"But Mephisto..."

Gwen shrugged at this point, looking at Hawk: "It's a pity that Yahweh miscalculated a bit, you never went looking for Mephisto, letting him mistakenly think you didn't want to find Mephisto, mistakenly thinking he still had a chance to keep weakening Mephisto, not expecting that after you took down his projection and made it so he couldn't monitor you, you'd go to the Hell Dimension."

Hawk nodded, looking at Gwen: "I guess it was a lucky mistake."

If Yahweh's dark projection hadn't appeared, he was indeed planning to go to the Hell Dimension to find Mephisto.

But with that, Yahweh would know and could have Michael leave immediately.

If that happened, having just been attacked by Heaven and injured, Mephisto, upon seeing Hawk, realizing Hawk had Blood God Dimension previously owned by Yahweh, would definitely think Hawk had taken Yahweh's deal to help out.

With that, inherently suspicious and hot-tempered Mephisto would certainly fall into the trap.

But Hawk went to the Hell Dimension after dealing with Yahweh's projection.

Yahweh is currently not in the Solar System, so he can't immediately recognize Hawk's moves to notify Michael to retreat in time.

So—

Hawk's mind raced, and with Gwen's help, he figured out Yahweh's scheme this time, shaking his head and laughing lightly as he looked at Gwen: "Do you think Yahweh, that old thing, would cough up blood if he knew?"

Gwen heard this, smiled slightly, and then her expression became serious.

"I don't know if Yahweh will vomit blood, but I know that after you and Mephisto saw through his scheme, he will definitely think of other ways."

"Bring it on."

Hawk shrugged, "I even blew up the Blood God Dimension, so even if he really hid some backdoor there that I couldn't see, it wouldn't be of any use."

This is also why he wanted to blow up the Blood God Dimension.

Better safe than sorry.

After all, the Blood God Dimension was almost negligible to his strength.

In short.

No matter how skilled a warrior nearing the level of the Silver Saint Warriors is, they're still just a bronze dog.

It's the same with sub-light speed.

After all, sub-light speed is not the speed of light, so he felt nothing when he detonated the Blood God Dimension.

Hawk's tone was relaxed.

Gwen, however, furrowed her brows and looked at Hawk with some concern, "It's obvious that Yahweh is not as holy as described in the Bible. He's very insidious. If it wasn't for luck this time, he might have successfully driven a wedge between you and Mephisto. Don't be careless."

Hawk nodded in agreement.

"The Goddess of Fortune stands by me."

"This is not the work of the Goddess of Fortune; it is because of your own efforts."

"Uh..."

"Because you are good."

"..."

Hawk blinked, looking at Gwen, his expression gradually becoming a little suspicious.

"I feel like you're insulting me, Gwen."

"I'm not."

Gwen shook her head, looking at Hawk, "It is indeed because of your goodness that you are so fortunate. Any conspiracy or trickery relies on exploiting the dark side of human nature to succeed, but in front of a person with a kind heart, no conspiracy can prevail."

Hawk was taken aback.

"Really?"

"Of course!"

Gwen smiled slightly.

"Just like when we were in Waterfall Town with Klaus that time, if you were even a bit more sinister, you could have completely used force to make Klaus succumb, right?"

"Yes."

"But you didn't. You chose to have a dialogue with Klaus first, and then you got the clue to Dr. Merick from him."

"And this time, too."

"Also because of your goodness, you chose to give Mephisto a chance. Even though there were issues with Mephisto's character, you didn't listen blindly, and thus you went to the Hell Dimension and discovered Yahweh's conspiracy."

"So..."

"It's not that the Goddess of Fortune stands by you."

"But it's your goodness, your calmness that makes the Goddess of Fortune smile upon you."

"..."

Listening to Gwen's earnest explanation, the suspicion on Hawk's face gradually disappeared, replaced by an increasingly bright smile.

"Hahaha!"

"Exactly."

"I am good, and it is because of my goodness that the Goddess of Fortune smiles at me."

As he spoke, Hawk nodded repeatedly, happily addressing Gwen, "I am indeed quite kind, look at Alexander Pierce, that old guy, I gave him two chances and still didn't turn him into ashes."

Seeing Hawk in front of her, who looked just like a student getting a bit carried away after being praised, Gwen, after giving a sweet date, appropriately gave a stick.

"Don't get complacent, Hawk. Yahweh's conspiracy failed. He certainly won't be willing to stop here."

"Of course not."

Hawk took a deep breath, touched his chin, and looked at Gwen, "Strategist, what do you think Yahweh will do next?"

Gwen shook her head.

"I don't know."

"But..."

"It's definitely another plot against you."

"Then bring it on."

Hawk spread his hands, "Do you know what I thought of when I learned Yahweh is of African descent?"

Gwen shook her head.

Hawk smiled slightly, "What I worry about the least is their conspiracy."

Gwen first froze, then smiled and shook her head.

"As long as you remain calm, I'm not worried about you falling for it at all. But I fear you getting carried away."

"That won't happen."

"As long as I'm not in a hurry, the only ones who will be anxious are my enemies."

Hawk said, pulling Gwen back into his embrace.

Leaning back in Hawk's embrace, Gwen took a look at Hawk's expression and smiled slightly.

"Hmm."

"I trust you."
