Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

The evening passed in a comfortable calm. Dinner had been spent in the pleasant company of Levine's mother, who smiled knowingly at the closeness between her son and Kallen. She didn't comment, but the warmth in her gaze spoke volumes.

For Levine, it was a reassurance that, despite the chaos of their world, Kallen was now a part of it.

Later, back in the bedroom, the atmosphere shifted slightly. Kallen casually unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt, his eyes flicking to Levine as he noticed the young man fidgeting. Levine had already opened the window beside the bed, the breeze soft but not enough to cool the warm, lingering tension between them. The fan above was ineffective, the air still, leaving Levine uneasy. He didn't want Kallen to stay uncomfortable in his own home, especially in the heat.

"Kallen, if you want, you can go to a hotel," Levine suggested, his voice tinged with concern. "There are plenty of hotels around here."

Kallen didn't answer right away, but the look he gave Levine said everything. It was enough to make Levine fall silent and sit beside him.

"What do you say..." Levine asked again, but was swiftly cut off by Kallen's lips capturing his in a kiss-soft at first, but soon deep and insistent.

Kallen's hand slid to Levine's thigh, caressing gently, while his lips trailed nonstop over Levine's mouth and neck, leaving him breathless.

Levine's hands were trembling as he pulled away slightly. "Wait... I have questions..."

Kallen didn't stop. His lips were busy with Levine's neck and collarbone as he kept kissing him, his hands roving across Levine's body.

"Then come closer," Kallen whispered. Without another word, he lifted Levine onto his lap, and Levine instinctively wrapped his legs tightly around Kallen's waist, his arms looping around Kallen's neck, holding him close as their bodies aligned perfectly.

"What's your first question?" Kallen murmured, his breath hot against Levine's skin.

Levine swallowed hard, trying to steady himself. "The card... How could you give out a credit card like that to anyone? And how much money was on it?"

Kallen's lips were gentle on Levine's ear as he spoke casually, "I don't know, not too much..."

"How not too much?" Levine asked, biting his lip to keep from moaning as Kallen's kisses trailed over his ear and neck.

"Maybe five or seven million," Kallen answered, his voice almost too casual, making Levine's heart stop for a beat.

Levine froze, pulling away just enough to look Kallen in the eyes. His voice came out in disbelief, "Are you crazy? You call that 'not too much'?"

Kallen's eyes darkened, and he responded, almost dismissively, "It isn't."

Levine stared at him, worry creeping into his features. "It really is! You shouldn't have wasted that kind of money on that jerk... it really wasn't worth it." He bit his lip, his expression turning determined. "I'll pay you back for it."

Kallen didn't react immediately, just watched him for a long moment, his gaze intense. Finally, he smirked. "Sure, you can do it now."

Levine blinked in confusion, caught off guard by Kallen's sudden shift.

"How about you repay me tonight..." Kallen's voice was low, heated, as he rubbed his fingers along Levine's lips, "By moaning my name like that. Over and over again." His other hand slid possessively down to Levine's hips, pulling him even closer. "Because when I walked in here and saw you all riled up... it made it really hard to keep my hands off."

Levine's face turned a deep shade of red, and he glared at Kallen. "You're shameless."

Kallen only smirked wider, his voice playful yet teasing. "Then stop staring at me like you want more."

Levine's embarrassment only deepened as Kallen's words sent a shiver down his spine. The air between them thickened, charged with unspoken desire, but Levine found himself caught between frustration and the undeniable pull Kallen had over him.

Kallen had always known how to get under his skin.

After a long, passionate night, the room was silent, the only sound being the quiet hum of the fan.

In the middle of the night, Levine stirred. His eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the dim light before he rubbed them sleepily. A soft smile touched his lips as he found himself snugly wrapped in Kallen's arms.

He leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss on Kallen's chin, heart warm... until he noticed the sweat on Kallen's forehead and temples. The heat must've been uncomfortable.

Even if Kallen wouldn't say it out loud, Levine could tell-this countryside weather, the stuffy room, the weak fan-it wasn't anything close to Kallen's comfort zone.

Worried, Levine carefully got up without waking him, glancing around for anything to help. His eyes landed on an old book on the shelf. He grabbed it, ripped out two pages, and began fanning Kallen slowly, hoping to offer even the slightest bit of cool air.

But before he could continue, Kallen's hand shot out and gently caught his wrist. "I'm fine," he murmured, eyes still closed. "Sleep."

"But-" Levine didn't get to finish. Kallen tugged him down, wrapping him tightly in his arms again.

"Sleep... unless you want me to continue where we left off," Kallen whispered with a teasing tone, still half-asleep as he lazily patted Levine's head.

Levine flushed instantly, hiding his face in Kallen's chest. "You're really shameless," he whispered, but his voice held no heat-just soft affection. He smiled shyly and snuggled into him, letting the night take him again.

The Next Day, After breakfast, Levine's mother sat them down and smiled warmly.

"You both should head back now," she said. "I'll stay for another week-visit some old friends, take care of a few things here. You two have school, don't you?"

They both agreed with light hearts and began packing to leave.

While Levine chatted with his aunt and some relatives, laughing and hugging them goodbye, Kallen stood beside the car, phone in hand. His brows were furrowed as he texted his father.

This area's infrastructure is outdated. Why are there still power cuts? No stable internet either. Fix it if you can-these people deserve better.

After hitting send, he looked up-just in time to see Levine smiling brightly at an older woman. Then suddenly, a young man leaned in to hug Levine. Kallen didn't hesitate. He was by Levine's side in seconds, pulling him away with a firm grip.

"We're getting late," he said coldly, his expression unreadable.

Levine blinked, then smiled and waved. "Oh, right! Okay, bye everyone!"

He followed Kallen to the car-and gasped.

"Wait... is this a Bugatti?!" Levine's eyes widened as Kallen opened the door for him.

Kallen slid into the driver's seat casually. "Hmm."

"You-don't tell me you intentionally brought this car because you know I like it... I use it a lot in my games," Levine said, suspicious.

Kallen glanced at him with a smirk. The corner of his lips curved upward. "When did you get so smart?"

Levine crossed his arms and pouted. "Heyyy, I was always smart! Don't talk to me."

Kallen chuckled lowly, his eyes still on the road. "That pout doesn't really scare me, you know."

Levine turned away with a small smile, hiding the warmth spreading across his cheeks. He tried to stay mad... but it was impossible when Kallen was like this-soft, teasing, and his...
