Chapter 473 - Chapter 109: Winds and Clouds Surging (Part 5)

The phone emitted a monotonous beeping, but no one answered.

A hint of panic appeared on Evelyn's face. Her eyes trembled as she hurriedly reached out, trying to unlock the car door or window.

But the car seemed welded shut, completely impossible to open. She felt like she might even break the door handle!

I need to call Judy!

I need her to save me!

A plea for help sprang to Evelyn's mind, and she immediately dialed Judy's number again.

"Beep... beep..."

"Damn it, pick up the phone! Judy! I'm begging you! Answer the phone!" Evelyn finally couldn't hold back anymore, cursing directly. Frantically broadcasting through the brain-computer interface after the call went unanswered, she finally realized something was wrong.

She immediately started the brain-computer's self-check program, but no matter how many times she scanned or restarted, she couldn't restore the communication signal.

"Open the door! Let me out! I don't want the remaining money! A! You have to let me out! We had someone guarantee us in Liz!"

Evelyn grabbed the car door handle, trying desperately to pull it open, but it was futile.

Her voice trembled, even carrying a sob: "You can't do this to me! I've listened to you! How can you betray me like this!?

I want to go home! Let me go back! A! You can hear me, right! I know you surely can hear me! Open the door, I beg you!"

But inside the car, there was only dead silence.

Panic-stricken, Evelyn climbed from the back seat to the driver's seat, stomping fiercely on the brake, even trying to turn the steering wheel.

But no matter how she operated, the car didn't respond at all, just quietly moved along the road, steadily heading towards an unknown destination.

"I'm begging you! I don't want to die! Mr. A! I'll agree to whatever you want! I'm begging you, say something, okay!?"

Evelyn was on the verge of collapsing—the scenery outside the car was bustling as usual, but she felt as if she'd boarded a bus bound for hell.

Fear seeped into her bones, she even felt herself trembling all over, never having been this scared in her life.

"Is anyone there? Can anyone hear me? Help! Help!!"

She tried shouting out the car window, even attempting to smash the window with her high heels, fists—but how could mere flesh and blood shake this bulletproof window, even this bulletproof steel plate?

Inside the car, her continuous pounding was heard, but outside the speeding vehicle, no one cared.

"Ah! Help! Help!!"

She finally broke down, screaming madly while hammering the surroundings continuously, until her hands were bloody and raw, even the steering wheel and brake were almost pulled off by her—at last, a woman's voice rang inside the car.

"Hey, you're so rude! Although this car isn't expensive, it's still bought with money I've applied!"

Polaris' words almost became her lifeline.

With disheveled hair and tears all over her face, Evelyn plead, "Who are you? V? Or a member of the Spark Team? Listen, I beg you, I really haven't done anything against you guys, I'll give you money, how about 300,000 Euros?

400,000! I really only have 400,000 Euros left! Let me go, as long as you let me return to Liz, I'll transfer the money to you immediately!"

"Hm, but from the email data you deleted, the price you agreed with Internet Supervision was 500,000 Euros!" Polaris, with an innocent tone, uttered words that made Evelyn's hair stand on end.

Evelyn leaned back in the chair, panic-stricken: "W-what are you saying?"

"Alright, relax, don't be scared, the master is always gentle with girls, even if he decides to kill you, he won't torture you." Polaris spoke cute words that made Evelyn even more frightened.

She almost cried out loud: "I don't want to die! I'm begging you, let A respond to me! I know I was wrong! I'll return his money to him, and the Internet Supervision's advance payment, whatever he wants!

I-I was really just..."

"Ah, sorry, the master told me not to bother with you, but you better not keep banging my car! If I get angry, the speed will increase!" Polaris spoke soothing words yet pierced her heart: "Alright, stop crying, it's noisy, I'll play a song for you, listen to the music, watch the street view, whether you can live or not isn't Polaris' concern!"

The radio began playing calming music, while Evelyn sobbed loudly in her seat, nothing was more despairing than quietly waiting for death, especially since she still had tens of thousands of euros lying unused in her account!

"I'm begging you... I'm begging you..."

The pleas inside the car were endless.

But Polaris said nothing, only continued to accelerate.

Until the car gradually left the city center, Evelyn's voice rough from crying, the car drove into an underground parking lot in Taiping Prefecture.

Evelyn anxiously hid in the car, this time, she clung to the car door, now hoping it wouldn't be opened.

As a large hand pulled open the car door, Mann's cold face appeared by the car door, causing Evelyn to emit an ear-piercing scream as if she'd seen a ghost.

Mann wordlessly furrowed his brow, reached out, and pulled the crying and screaming Evelyn out of the car seat. Before she could beg, he precisely punched her in the jaw.

The scream abruptly ceased, and Mann carried her on his shoulder like cargo, patting the car door: "You can go."

"Phew, she can really scream, remember to close the door tight for me, she even pulled off one of my door handles." Polaris complained.
