Mom,
It's been a while since I last wrote to you, but it's definitely not because I forgot about you; I've just been too tired. It feels like so many things have happened recently, it's hard to know where to start.
Luckily, today is a rare day off, so I can tell you everything all at once, haha. I hope you don't mind if this letter is too thick.
Let me think, I mentioned last time that we lost 6 years out of nowhere, but everyone is trying hard to adapt to the new life.
Not long after that, Mr. Rhode and Miss Mira got married. The day was exceptionally lively, and Reby and I even participated in writing the wedding script.
— But in the end, it didn't go entirely according to the script. Many processes and scenes were messed up by those guys.
Luckily, Mr. Rhode and Miss Mira weren't upset... I suppose I should now call her Mrs. Luo or Mrs. Strauss?
Because Mr. Rhode's surname is a bit unusual, Miss Mira didn't change her surname in the usual way, so I'm a bit confused too.
What was Mom and Dad's wedding like? I'm curious.
The biggest regret is not catching the bouquet, but Natsu... ugh, I don't know how to describe him, he often does something touching and then immediately ruins the atmosphere, which is infuriating.
Forget it, I hope my future boyfriend will be more normal.
Speaking of which, I feel a bit upset because I'm pretty much the same as ever—I dress nicely but always get ignored by guys and often attract weirdos.
One of them is, of course, a certain Star Spirit.
He claims to be the most reliable Star Spirit, yet he often appears on his own whim. The other day, he suddenly popped into the bathroom while I was soaking, and I felt like complaining to Grandpa Beard.
Oh, I've been getting along well with Kaburico. He said he followed Mom for a long time and can see my Mom's shadow in me, which makes me happy.
Lately, Kaburico has been guiding my training; if this continues, I won't need much time to open two doors at the same time, just like an enemy we encountered before.
However, I've been beaten up by the recent training, which is the real reason why I haven't been writing to you often—every day I return home so exhausted I can't even lift my arms.
Since Mr. Rhode and Miss Mira left for their honeymoon, I've been working and doing special training together with Natsu and the others.
Not only do we have to do special training in Magnolia, but we also have to find time to train our physical and magic power during missions.
Mr. Rhode left us detailed information about the Second Magic Source, and whenever we don't understand something, we just have to look at the books he annotated.
Mr. Rhode is indeed the most reliable person in the guild.
I heard from Miss Laki that the President plans to make Mr. Rhode the fourth-generation president, but I'm not sure if it's true.
If it's true, then the guild's future seems promising, but I'm a bit unwilling to let go of the current President. What will happen after he retires? It's a bit concerning.
I think I've gone too far off-topic; Mom might not know what the Second Magic Source is, right? It's a recent concept, meaning (…).
Erza mastered it in just a few days, and we were all shocked —but then again, it's Erza. It wouldn't surprise me if she said she had it unlocked all along.
Natsu and Gray seem quite dissatisfied, so recent training has become increasingly inhuman.
That's why I have to work hard too.
Oh, lately Wendy and Carla have occasionally joined our team, but the way Natsu and Gray mess around bothers them.
Although this is the least trouble they've caused since I've known Natsu —the debt issues have made them more restrained.
Yet Wendy and Carla still seem a bit uncomfortable.
It's understandable because they used to team up with Mr. Rhode, who was the best ally praised by Erza, Natsu, and Gray.
This makes it seem like I'm the only one who hasn't teamed up with Mr. Rhode? Ah, damn, I really want to try teaming up with an ally like that.
Should I find a chance to ask about it?
The guild is probably as noisy as ever.
While quite a few people are training hard, when I last visited the guild, Miss Laki was repairing a table...
Dad is doing well now; although he's not as wealthy as before, I think this version of Dad is better. I'll visit him again in a few days.
Oh, I met Princess Jade last time. She said she had received help from you and Dad. You must have met her when she was little, but now she's become a total beauty, and she doesn't have that off-putting aristocratic demeanor, chatting with her was quite enjoyable.
Sadly, she didn't share more about Mom. I'm curious about how Mom taught her magic.
Without realizing it, I spoke this much. Please forgive your nagging daughter.
—Of course, I'm taking good care of myself, and my companions are always looking after me too, so please don't worry.
Your daughter, Lucy
January 25, X791
After writing the last stroke, Lucy carefully organized the paper, folded it, and placed it in the envelope, then sealed it with wax before stretching.
"Alright, it's been a while since I cleaned up, let's do some tidying today..."
As she turned around, she paused for a second, her eyes widening: "My room!!"
Natsu laid casually on the sofa, holding a pack of snacks: "Yo, Lucy, want some snacks?"
"That's my snack!"
"Don't be too uptight, Lucy." Erza came out from the kitchen with tea, "Just have a seat."
"Shouldn't I be saying that to you guys? No, you really should be more respectful!"
Gray opened the wardrobe door: "Do you have any underwear that fits me? I accidentally lost mine."
Lucy slammed the wardrobe door shut: "I don't have any of that! Don't come to my house naked! I'm calling the enforcement team!"
Sounds rustled from the corner: "Lucy, did you change the wallpaper in your house? It feels cool."
Lucy kicked Hapi flying: "You think I changed the wallpaper because of you? You claw-sharpening, smelly cat!"
Wendy stood at the door, weakly saying: "Sorry, Miss Lucy, Miss Erza said it's a rare day off, so we should gather at your place."
"Wendy, come in and sit down too." Lucy felt a bit tired, "Is there really a cause-and-effect relationship between a day off and gathering at my place…but don't let these people lead Wendy astray…"
"I told you not to listen to them." Carla sat neatly on the table, holding a cup waiting for Erza to pour tea, "Is it tea? I like Darjeeling tea."
"Hey…" Lucy sighed, you're actually more excited than Wendy, aren't you?
