The war room erupts into chaos.
"It's an obvious trap." Timothy's voice cuts through the noise. "You walk into Meridian Tower, you die. It's as simple as that."
"Then I die." Katherine's face is set and determined. "She's my best friend, and I'm not leaving her."
"Katherine-" I start.
"No." She whirls on me. "Don't tell me it's too dangerous. Don't tell me we need to think strategically. Susan is there because of me, because she tried to help us, and I'm getting her back."
"Then I'm going with you."
"They want both of us, with Elliot and the evidence." Her voice is rising. "We give them that, they kill everyone. That's how this works."
"So we don't give them everything. We negotiate."
Timothy laughs bitterly. "The Architect doesn't negotiate; they eliminate threats. That's what they've been doing for thirty years."
"Then we make ourselves too valuable to eliminate," Katherine counters.
