# Chapter 54: Everyone, the War Has Begun (Part 1)
Fireworks suddenly exploded across the sky. Dennis said with a smile, "Originally, due to Toy Nightingale's Pendulum Effect, I would have taken 2000 points of effect damage. Another overlay material orbiting Trapeze Magician lit up, transforming into a stream of light that entered Shadow Maker's body.
"At this moment, Entermage Shadow Maker's effect activates! When this card is targeted by an effect, I detach one overlay material to Special Summon another Entermage Shadow Maker from the Extra Deck!"
The overlay material beside Shadow Maker flashed and then split in two.

"Battle! Trapeze Magician, attack that set monster!" Dennis snapped his fingers. The smirking Entermage Trapeze Magician, swinging back and forth in the air, kicked its trapeze toward Yūga Hōzumi's set card.
At this moment, Yūga Hōzumi's set card flipped open. A seemingly rock-solid Gogogo Golem appeared, blocking Yūga Hōzumi's path.

Although its DEF was lower than Trapeze Magician's ATK, Gogogo Golem was unharmed after taking the kick.
"A Defense Position Gogogo Golem cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn," Yūga Hōzumi said calmly.

"Entermage Shadow Maker, attack Gogogo Goram!" With a wave of Dennis's hand, the paper-cut shadow before him flew out, its scissors snipping toward the monster in front of Yūga Hōzumi.
Soon, Gogogo Goram was reduced to fragments under Shadow Maker's attack.

The Shadow Maker that had destroyed Gogogo Goram once again floated toward the other monster in front of Yūga Hōzumi.
"Your remaining monster would require two attacks to destroy, but my other Shadow Maker doesn't have Trapeze Magician's effect, so let's not waste any more time. I end my Battle Phase."

"Who are they? Where did so many people come from? They look pretty strong," a few men in the audience remarked.
But soon, they stopped smiling. After a Leo Duel School duelist was defeated, their opponent walked up to them. A purple light flashed from their Duel Disk, and the LDS duelist vanished, leaving only a single card behind. The card's artwork depicted the very same duelist's terrified expression.
"They... they turned a person into a card?" the audience cried out in fear. A few children even burst into tears on the spot.
"Everyone, did you see that?" Just then, Yūga Hōzumi's voice rang out. "First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Yuan Youhao, and I come from the XYZ Dimension."
"This world is composed of four dimensions: the Standard Dimension, where you all reside; my homeland, the XYZ Dimension; and the Synchro and Fusion Dimensions."
"This group of duelists, who possess the ability to turn people into cards, is the Obelisk Force from the Fusion Dimension."
"To further their own dark schemes, they have brought the flames of war to the other dimensions. The first to bear the brunt was my homeland, the XYZ Dimension."
