Chapter 201: The Battle That Decides Neo Domino City's Future
Jack and Bruno drove silently on Neo Domino City's D-Wheel elevated roads, quietly waiting for their engines to reach optimal temperature.
"I never expected it would be you. I thought Kiryu himself would come," Jack said, breaking the silence.
"What, are you disappointed it's me?" Bruno asked.
"No, I'm just surprised. I knew about the successor to Accel Synchro six years ago, but I didn't expect you to appear before me only now," Jack replied.
"Come on. Let this battle decide the future of Neo Domino City and settle the score between our respective legacies—a score left unsettled a hundred years ago," Jack said, pressing the Duel start button on his D-Wheel.
"Gladly," Bruno replied, pressing his duel button as well.
"Have the two of them finally decided to begin this epic battle?" the Female Commentator asked from the helicopter following them.
"Then, Action Field: Crossover Accel, activate!"
"Turbo Duel, Accelerate!" ×2
"My turn!" Bruno took the first turn.
"I activate the Spell Card, Takeover 5! I send the top five cards of my Deck to the Graveyard."
"Next, I summon T.G. Propeller Snake in Attack Position."
"When T.G. Propeller Snake is successfully summoned, I activate its effect! I target one Level 4 or lower T.G. monster in the Graveyard and Special Summon it!"
"Appear, T.G. Booster Raptor!"
"I tune the Level 4 T.G. Propeller Snake with the Level 1 T.G. Booster Raptor!"
"Limiter Removal, Level 5! Booster Activation, OK! Tilt Angle, OK! Ground Support, all clear! GO! Synchro Summon! Level 5! COME ON! Synchro Tuner Monster! T.G. Star Guardian!"

"Next, since I control another T.G. monster, I can activate the effect of T.G. Drill Fish in my hand! This card can be Special Summoned! Appear, T.G. Drill Fish!"

"I set one card and end my turn." After setting a card from his hand, Bruno chose to end his turn.
"Ending your turn just like that? Are you planning to Accel Synchro on my turn?" Jack frowned. "But you can't use two Tuner Monsters for a Synchro Summon, even with Accel Synchro, can you?"
"Could it be those two set cards?"
Although Jack was still pondering Bruno's current field, he wasn't the type of man to hesitate because of an opponent's feint. Thus, Jack pointed a single finger skyward. "Then, next, it's the King's Turn!"
"My turn! Draw!"
The moment Jack drew his card, Bruno activated his set trap. "At this moment, I activate the Trap Card, Paleozoic Marrella! I send one Trap Card from my Deck to the Graveyard. I'll send Breakthrough Skill."
"Next, I chain to that activation with the effect of Paleozoic Canadia in my Graveyard! It Special Summons itself to the field as a Level 2, WATER, Aqua-type monster with 1200 ATK!"
"I see. So you plan to gather materials with Trap Monsters?" Jack understood. He looked at his hand, contemplated for a moment, and then began his play.
"Since I control no monsters, I can Special Summon Crimson Resonator from my hand!"
"Next, since I control a Fiend Tuner with 1500 or less ATK, I can Special Summon this card! Appear, Wandering King Wildwind!"
"I tune the Level 2 Crimson Resonator with the Level 4 Wandering King Wildwind!"
"The Crimson Dragon illuminates the Path of Stars! Synchro Summon! Level 6! Red Rising Dragon!"
The Path of Stars, wreathed in roaring flames, lit up. Bathed in fire, the giant red dragon flapped its wings and flew ahead of Jack.

"I activate Red Rising Dragon's effect! When this card is successfully Synchro Summoned, I target one 'Resonator' monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it! Revive! Crimson Resonator!"
"I activate Crimson Resonator's effect! Once per turn, if the only other monster I control is a single DARK Dragon-Type Synchro Monster, I can Special Summon up to two other 'Resonator' monsters from my hand or Deck!"
Crimson Resonator tapped the tuning fork in its hand, and two ghostly flames slowly formed beside it.
At this moment, Bruno glanced at a card in his hand and murmured to himself, "Wait, Special Summon from the Deck..."
Then, Bruno smiled and sent a card directly from his hand to the Graveyard.
"When an effect that Special Summons a monster from the Deck is activated, I discard the Tuner monster, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, from my hand to activate its effect! Your effect is negated!"
"What?!" Jack exclaimed in surprise, turning his head to see a loli with a large forehead fly out from beside Bruno. With a light wave of her delicate hand, she smiled as she extinguished the two ghostly flames summoned by Crimson Resonator.
"A powerful hand-trap effect that can be activated on the opponent's turn?" Jack's brow furrowed.
"Then, I tune the Level 2 Crimson Resonator with the Level 6 Red Rising Dragon!"
"The roar of the King will now shake the heavens and the earth! Engrave this unique power of the dominator onto your very being! Synchro Summon! Level 8! Rampant Soul! Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend!"
Scorching flames ignited on the horizon. Accompanied by a tyrannical dragon's roar, the monster that coexists with the soul of Jack Atlas, Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend, descended!

"It's here! Master Jack's ace monster! Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend!" the Female Commentator exclaimed in delight from the helicopter behind them. "Facing an opponent who has mastered Accel Synchro, is Master Jack going all out right from the start?"
Watching the majestic demon dragon emerge from the blazing fire, Bruno's lips curled into a smile. He slammed the D-Wheel's throttle all the way down, leaving Jack far behind as a red wake of energy instantly appeared, enveloping Bruno's D-Wheel.
I only got home past 1 AM today. The next update will have to wait until tomorrow morning, I can't take it anymore.
