Chapter 65 - Dimensional Store cap 65

Seeing that his friends didn't believe him, the boy quickly opened his mouth and explained the situation.

"A man gave me a piece of paper that said there was free food for children and women, so I came to see if it was true," the young man said.

The young man had learned to read from his parents and knew more than Yumi, so he came to find out if what the paper said was true.

Suddenly he looked towards one of Yumi's hands.

"¡Hey!"

"You have one too!" the boy said excitedly, and Yumi quickly looked at the paper he held in his hand.

Seeing the paper Yumi was holding, her friends remembered they had also received one and took them out of their pockets.

"You have one too!" said the boy with the bags in his hands when he saw that the others also had the same paper.

"Come on!"

"With that paper you can also get money and free stuff!" said the boy and led his friends inside the store.

The children's plight was noticed by people around them, and some women took out small pieces of paper they had received earlier.

And besides them, there were also adult men accompanying their wives and children, who had also received those papers previously.

Although they had read that it said they would give free food and money to women and children, they hadn't believed that something so good existed at first.

But after seeing that boy, who wore old and dirty clothes, leaving with several bags and taking his friends to get the same, they couldn't help but believe.

Suddenly, one by one they began to move, and soon people started running towards the store.

The first thing Yumi noticed was not the large size of the store and how crowded it was.

If not the cubicles where women and men sat while attending to people who were already shopping before their arrival.

In addition, there was a store employee next to a large wooden shelf with many things on it.

Following her friend's advice, Yumi and the others grabbed a metal cart and strolled inside the store, picking up various products.

The child could not accompany them because he had many bags in his hand and taking things inside the store was prohibited.

His friend could leave the bags with a store employee next to that shelf, but the boy didn't want to be separated from his new things.

Yumi understood her friend and went in with her friends while holding her little sister's hand.

Divided with several shelves, the store was huge and they had many products for sale.

Processed foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, cleaning products, etc.

Yumi could see the prices of each product and every second she felt more nervous at the possibility that all of this was free.

And when her car was almost full, the young woman returned and found her friends already queuing up.

From behind, the girl nervously watched her friends arriving at the place where they were supposed to pay.

Yumi nervously watched her friends hand over the papers they had received, and her heart almost stopped when the woman who was serving them raised her hand to call a man who was waiting nearby.

Under the watchful eyes of Yumi and the other children, the man approached and took the paper.

But they weren't in suspense for long before the man reached inside his clothes and pulled out… banknotes?

Under the surprised gaze of Yumi and her friends, the man handed his little friend all the bills in his hand and withdrew to another place where he was being called.

Yumi watched him and saw the situation repeat itself. This time with an old woman.

Yumi's gaze returned to her friend at the front of the line and saw him taking most of the bills to pay the woman, putting some in his pocket.

Under Yumi's excited gaze, her friend received the large balls and carried them with some difficulty.

Unlike the first child who told them they could get free stuff here, this child was younger.

But regardless of his weight, the boy did not give up and with a smile on his face joined the first boy who was waiting for him.

One by one, the children advanced in the line and soon it was Yumi's turn.

Without letting go of her little sister's arm, the girl had red eyes as she received the bags from the smiling woman.

Holding back tears, the girl put the leftover bills in her pocket before going to meet her friends.

When she joined her friends, Yumi remembered that her little sister had also received the same slip of paper to receive free things, which she hurriedly put away carefully to return to the store again later.

The situation Yumi and her friends experienced was being repeated with many people in the store.

Adult and elderly women also left the store happily carrying bags full of products, as did men accompanying their wives and children, who had received those papers earlier.

And of course, many other orphaned children like Yumi and her friends.

Outside, above the shop, under an invisibility jutsu so as not to attract people's attention, Kozue's true body watched the happy people leaving the shop with a smile.

And under his Observation Haki, he could see many other people running this way after the news spread throughout the city.

The fact that a large number of their shadow clones continue to roam the city handing out those free food vouchers to the population, and with many people carrying bags with the store's logo, only made the news more believable.

Of course, Kozue wasn't just giving away his money.

The money he was handing over was money that Root had voluntarily donated, and Kozue was sure they would be happy to know that their money was being used for noble causes.

Although his profits decreased, that money still reached the store and he would get his share, in addition to earning points in his dimensional shop.

Of course, I knew I couldn't do this forever.

Besides destroying the small country's economy, it was a very bad idea to get the population used to depending solely on it.

Therefore, he planned to get rid of Gato and help fix the country.

Of course, it wouldn't be free.

He had already discovered that Gato had kidnapped the country's Daimyo and his family, and was holding the power of the country behind the scenes.

Therefore, Kozue planned to take control of the country himself and become its ruler.

The Daimyo and his family will be very 'scared' after this experience, so they will no longer have 'motivation' to govern the country and plan to hand over power.

Choosing Kozue would be a natural step, and I didn't think the population would object.

Why was Kozue doing this?

After all, he didn't have the desire or the time to govern a country.

But Kozue got involved in this personally instead of letting things happen naturally as fate intended.

Kozue knew that in the future he might encounter many situations similar to that of the country of Waves, so he agreed to only get involved if he was willing to go all in and take full responsibility for the situation.

Besides preventing any future situations where he will have to consider whether he was willing to use his time and take responsibility for a large number of people, it will also serve as a reward for his efforts.

Kozue does not want to be in a future where she will see helping everyone as an obligation and only receive a thank you in return.

People can be very ungrateful after being helped, and Kozue didn't want to be in that situation.

Kozue continued scanning the city with her Observation Haki and checked on the situation of her shadow clones distributing pamphlets for free food for women and children.

And as expected, they were being surrounded by many people who wanted to receive more of these papers and protested when they refused.

In addition to having already received a pamphlet about free food, most of these people were men who were protesting because they also wanted to receive free food and money.

Unfortunately for them, they received nothing and suddenly lost sight of Kozue's shadow clones.

While they searched everywhere for Kozue's shadow clones, these began to go around the city under an invisibility jutsu while looking for children and women in need to give them the free food pamphlets.
