Chapter 26 - Perfect Match...? Kallian's POV.

Mission successful.

I am soon going to have a little sister, yeah~

Lalala~

I want to dance and sing my heart out. I am finally going to have a little sister; I am no longer going to be a single child. I wouldn't have to inherit the whole dukedom all alone, nor will I have to handle all the work alone-well, it isn't like I do much work anyway, but still, when the time comes for me to handle the most work-Elicia would become an adult. And of course, I will make her do half of it then.

Hehehe!

I am such a genius, if it wouldn't have been for me being the duke in the future, I would have surely become a renowned scientist. Well, if I become one, it would be over for the industry-because there would be no need for others, and of course, they would not be able to keep up with my ideas and inventions.

Soon, Elicia would become my little sister-yeah! I will become a good older brother to her, and she will be my cute little sister. Well, there's not many things cute about her except her appearance and how she tries to act mature. She has much trauma already, I will help her recover from it, her emotions were a total disaster the last day. And it's fully understandable.

I didn't expect father to allow it so easily, he rather seemed pleased by it. I didn't expect him to be the kind to do so. Well, it isn't any of my worries, so why waste my brilliant thoughts over this?

I am pretty sure Mother will enjoy Elicia's company-

How can I forget it?

About my other soon to be little sister.

Her sister.

The sister she claimed to be the cutest. The little soul that saw too much for her age. The kid that would probably blame herself for her mother's death-because children blame everything on them. Because that's the only thing they can do. Blame. They are too small to understand good or bad, whose fault it actually was.

She must still be somewhere waiting to be rescued by her strong older sister-the older sister, that is much stronger she may think her to be, but that older sister for now, needs someone to rescue her from the sorrow herself. Last night, after returning home and leaving Elicia to Arnold's hand, I tried to track the people who kidnapped her but somehow, I couldn't track them. But I would soon have to, I don't have time.

With this thought, I ran down the estate's stairs.

Our estate may be smaller than that of the marquess's but it's much more beautiful and graceful. Our garden is much larger than the estate. Windows are decorated all along the walls. After about every one inch, there's another window, and it isn't like the windows are small-they're big enough for someone to easily jump from them-and that's exactly what mother needed to escape father's grasp and go to parties with her friends without telling father. Not to mention, her friends are more like her wives than friends.

They may be only three friends but those three are alone enough for each other. It isn't really unexpected after learning the fact that mother refer her friends as 'wifey' and her friends do the same, it may really improper for a noble lady to act this way according to the high society but it doesn't change the fact that all the three of them married to the three most powerful families in the kingdom after the royal family.

They are three bodies, the same soul.

Small, purple flowers tug above the windows, leaves barely visible because of the quantity of the flowers.

You can find flowers in every inch of our home. Mother loves them. She says, there is a big story behind it but when I ask her, she blushes and doesn't speak at all.

I finish the stairs and walk across the hallway before I exit from the main gate.

I make my way to the Bruen Verle.

"Arnold! Arnold! Arnold! My men have finally tracked them!" I exclaimed.

Arnold looks at me, his face shocked and happy at the same time. "Tell me, where's it?"

One of my men steps in front of us as he speaks, "The person you are finding seems to be in the 46 Lane of Bruen Verle." He pauses for a second, "The person has blond hair, fair skin and is a kid no more than 10 years, this is all we could analyse from this distance."

They truly impress me. Lane 46 is about three km from here, and they didn't even seem to have much problem finding her sister. My sister. Not to mention, we didn't even know the direction they were heading up to. They really live up to their title of 'the walls of the dukedom'.

But there are some things that still concern me. Why in the world have they just travelled just three km in a whole night? Why towards the south where it only leads to endless forests and then, the ocean?

I cannot possibly answer these questions, it's possible for even the brilliant minds to have flaws, I guess?

Because nothing is perfect. The flaws make them more than perfection. Perfection is an impossible term, because it means there is no room for improvement. And that's not possible. There's always room for improvement, believe it or not.

How wise of me, isn't it?

Arnold's face lights up, his brown eyes glistening upon hearing this. Rays of sunlight kissing his face makes him look even more graceful. Strands of his brown hairs fall on his forehead, though most of his hairs are tucked back.

He sure is handsome.

His beauty is one that most women are ready to die for. One in a million. Though Elicia's beauty is one in a billion with no exaggeration, I still find it devastating how no one notices her beauty in the streets. How in the world can she be a thief with such beauty? Are people blind or something?

Well, she's my sister so it's nothing special about her being beautiful. Huh. I will give her all my love as her big brother. I will be the best big brother to both her and her sister.

But what if she doesn't find it enough? What if she decides to spend her life with anyone else?

It is my duty to keep a check on the person she chooses. I will not let her marry a man that doesn't deserve her, even if it comes to the fact that I choose her groom myself. Well, it isn't like I know much about men myself despite being one. If the time really comes then who shall I let her marry?

It is not the time to think such things though.

"Kallian, I guess, the time has come to wake Elicia now," Arnold's voice cuts off my thoughts, and that's when I see the answer for myself,

The right man was standing right in front of me all along.
