Synopsis
The young, fair petite woman walked with a bag slung over her shoulder, her heels clicking sharply against the glass pathway as she entered the garden of the Crystal Hall. Her eyes scanned the meticulously maintained scenery in awe, pausing on a very unusual sight in the corner—black roses, a stark contrast to the bright surroundings. "Strange, right?" came a voice, causing her to turn. Standing there was a man with lush brown hair and rich red eyes—a pureblood. Not at all shocked to find herself in his presence within the Crystal Hall, she replied politely, "Not entirely. They enhance the beauty, making one's eyes get stuck on them." The pureblood looked at the lady with amusement, her amethyst eyes drawing his attention completely unbidden. "That reminds me of someone," the vampire murmured, clicking his tongue. "He admires them so much that he has an entire garden of them." She looked at the vampire, wondering who could possibly want a garden filled only with roses—and black ones, at that. Before either of them could speak further, a guard called out to her. "Miss, you have been summoned." Offering a polite bow to the vampire, she turned and walked away. The man watched the retreating figure of the human, a sigh escaping his lips as he muttered to the empty air, "I wonder what will happen when he finds her."

Chapter 1 - Summary

A young woman walked through the Land of Vampires, a place where a living human was considered little more than a myth.

Someone had been waiting centuries for her birth, while another was destined to keep her as far away as possible from the fate that awaited her. On one side, a vampire waited for the return of his former lover's marked soul; on the other, a guardian was tasked by the angels to protect that very soul.

The land had long been divided among the four great kins: Vampires, Witches, Humans, and Werewolves. But the world never settled for so simple a divide. Secret kins lived in the shadows of all four territories, thriving right under the noses of those who claimed the land as their own.

Among these hidden races were the sea creatures. Even the vampires, who traded in their blood and flesh, feared their ancient legacy and terrifying power.

What happens when a vampire finds his "fairy," or when an archangel falls for a human, defying the laws of the world? As the world turns against them, some seek to destroy them, while others scramble to curry their favor.
