Hello, I'm here to give you an idea of what to expect.
Firstly, let's start with what the tags don't tell you: the main character is going to be detached, calm, and a little bit crazy. I want to create a character with raw emotions. He will visit many places, see many things, and do what he deems right.
The MC will meet different characters on his journey, experiencing events and discovering new emotions, but he will stay true to himself, choosing to follow his heart above everything.
Secondly, we'll talk about his name, "Mo Ling."
Mo {Mò} [墨] means black or ink.
Ling {Líng} [灵] has many meanings, but the one I'm after is "spirit."
I don't want to spoil why I chose Líng, but with Mò I can hit two birds with one stone. Black is obvious—look at the illustration and the novel's title—but "ink" is the interesting part: I want the MC to be like ink on white paper, permanently changing every place he touches.
I hope it won't be a flop.
