Chapter 19 - Red Light Warning

Chapter 19 : Red light warning

As George had instructed, Leo dropped Realiana at her house. She stepped out of the car and walked inside without looking back.

The moment she entered, all the workers rushed toward her, their faces lighting up with happiness. They were genuinely relieved to see her.

Ignoring them gently, she walked forward and stopped in front of George.

He was sitting at the dining table, calmly reading the newspaper, acting as if he hadn't even noticed her presence.

"I'm back," she said softly.

Before she could say anything more, George interrupted without looking up.

"Sit."

His eyes never left the newspaper.

But hers never left him.

A few moments later, Leo entered the house. This time, George looked up and welcomed him politely, even inviting him to join for breakfast.

Leo sat down. The dining table was silent.

Unnaturally silent.

Suddenly, Enzo walked in.

"You're back?" he asked politely.

"Yes," she replied.

She stood up to leave for her room, but Enzo stopped her.

"At least eat something. You haven't eaten properly."

She gave a small, cold smile.

"Oh, Mr. Enzo… please don't act like you care."

Then she turned to Sasha, her lady-in-waiting.

"Bring my breakfast to my room."

Without sparing another glance, she walked away.

After she left, Leo's gaze slowly shifted to George. There was something unspoken in his eyes. George noticed it.

"Do you want to say something?" George asked, giving him a sharp stare.

Leo hesitated. "No."

The rest of the meal passed in silence.

After lunch, George finally spoke.

"I have a job for you."

"What kind of job?" Leo asked carefully.

They spoke for a while before Leo left.

At Leo's house…

Everyone was waiting for him.

He parked his car and stepped inside. The moment they saw him, they froze in surprise.

Leo gave them a small smile.

"Come to my office."

They exchanged confused glances.

What happened to him?

They followed him upstairs.

Leo opened the door to his office. The room was dim. A faint red light reflected against the walls.

He sat down in his chair… and started laughing softly.

Not a happy laugh.

A dangerous one.

The others pushed each other nervously before stepping inside.

"Come in," he said calmly.

They stood in front of him.

Leo leaned back, his eyes dark.

"From now... there countdown is started"

His smile slowly widened.

"And we'll make sure of it."
