Renji wears a loose, open-collared shirt that's lightweight for hot weather, sleeves rolled up for movement. Over that, he has a simple vest or light outer layer with pockets for storage—nothing too heavy or armored. His pants are dark, durable, and slightly loose for easy movement, tucked into worn boots made for long walking and rough terrain.
He had brown eyes and messy black hair and he was light brown and he woke up on a ship everyone cheering he sat up rubbing his temple before shaking his head
And he walked outside to see everyone giving there sword to a guy with green hair long coat button up shirt black pants and a worn out straw hat with
Broken boots one of the legendary sea runners.
He was and he was retiring from it before the government caught him so his fellow sea runners did a ceremony for him and renji ran out trying to scoot past the crowd "SIR I WANT BE A SEA RUNNER AND REACH THE GRAND HORIZON!!!" Renji yelled
His mouth hung wide open like all the way down to the ground the green haired sea runners which are pirates pretty much looked at him.
They were on a deck next to a bunch if wooden boards that led out to the ocean and buildings were next to the deck.
"You wanna be a sea runner? And reach the grand horizon" He laughed "it's a life dedication it's risk it's a challenge it's all the thrill and excitement you could ask for but comes with a cost, a cost are you willing to pay!!" He said between his laughs the thrill in his voice made renji aggressively shake his head.
"AHAHAHAHHAHA KID THEN YOU'VE GOT GUTS!" He said taking of his straw hat it had a compass in it as well before putting it back on "then prove the devotion of yours" he said.
Then he raised his straw hat, the water started bubbling violently and a red budget slowly raised from the water it was a "SEA MONSTER" one of the sea runners said running away "on my retirement seriously!!" The green haired sea runner said.
"HOW DARE YOU RUIN SUCH A GREAT MANS RETIREMENT!!" Renji yelled at the monster as it eyes slowly trailed down towards him, it roared
"KID WHAT ARE YOU DOING RUN!!!!" The green haired pirate said running towards him as the monster flew down trying to take a nice chunk out of renji.
"AHHHHHH" time froze renji eyes shocked his mouth hung open
As the monsters hand had clawed the green haired pirates side then the green haired pirates slowly turned his head "die..." his voice barely above a whisper a menacing echo floated through the monster making it convulse violently
Before exploding.
He fell to floor renji turned him over "OH MY GOD, HELP!!!!!!!" He yelled tears in his eyes as pirates ran over the lifted him up "SIR please be ok" He said
The green haired pirate smirked taking of his worn out straw hat
And placing it on renji "you proved your devotion, you stood up to something bigger then yourself, so when you complete you greatest goal you can look across the sea with you crew and know you completed it" he said before they walked away with him.
Renji stood there in awe, "I promise to reach the grand horizon and become the greatest sea runner" he clenched his fist. Then he woke up laid across a brown floor board he had a bunch if bread and food under him "man I must've passes out, where am i?" He said it had been 6 years since then he was 16.
He saw a kid with brown hair black eye bruised arm and looked about 14
In a cage the kid immediately started freaking out "oh my god" he said
Making renji turn to him "oh hiya" he said clapping his feet together renji wore a light, short-sleeve open shirt—white or faded cream—with a slightly loose fit so it moves easily. The shirt is partially unbuttoned at the top for a relaxed pirate feel, and it has faint worn edges like it's been through salt and sun.
His pants are dark, lightweight cropped trousers (almost like rolled-up pirate pants), ending just below the knee restriction. They're slightly baggy but practical, with a rope-style belt instead of a normal one.
On his feet: simple leather sandals or light boots, nothing heavy—built for speed on ships and docks.
"H-hi" the kid said "you sound sad" renji replied "i- am" the kid said
"What your name" renji said while smiling "uh...Nikko" he replied nervously
"Well Nikko my names renji" he said "what are you even doing here?"
Nikko asked him "I forgot" he said smiling.
"Why are you smiling you won't make it out of this ship alive" Nikko said looking down "yeah I probably won't if I don't eat something quick" his stomach growled
"There's food under you" Nikko pointed down, Nikko looked malnourished.
"Here it looks like you need it" he said to Nikko handing him a carrot
"Might as well stay here because if they find you they will kill you" he said devouring the carrot "naw I'm not gonna die well at least not until I become the greatest sea runner" he said "and get to the grand horizon" He clenched his fist.
"Sounds like a death wish" Nikko said looking to the side "what's your dream?"
Renji asked "to be free from this cage" he replied "well ok" renji said picking up the cage "this might hurt" he wanted Nikko slamming the cage to the floor breaking it "ow!!!" Nikko yelled.
As footsteps ran to the door"oh no were dead!" Nikko yelled
As the door flew open and a bunch of pirates opened the door
"Who are you!!" The pirates yelled as Nikko hid behind renji
"Were so screwed why did you free me?" Nikko asked
"Because you wanted to be free so that's what I did" as he pointed to him using his thumb.
He smiled while chuckling.
