If there was a way to disappear into thin air, I would have taken it without hesitation. Anything would be better than standing here, replaying those heated moments like some kind of shameless fool.
The memory of Hardy's lips burned through my mind. The solid weight of his body against mine. The way my legs had instinctively wrapped around his waist. Every detail made me want to find the nearest corner and hide until the world forgot I existed.
I should have been listening to Chase and Selena, who stood just steps away discussing something urgent with Hardy. Their voices reached my ears, but the words seemed to bounce off my consciousness. All I could hear was my own thundering heartbeat.
He had whispered against my mouth, asking what I had done to him. Then he kissed me again. And again. Each kiss more desperate than the last, until breathing felt impossible without him pressed against me.
