At the very center of the execution platform, the heavy clanking of iron chains dragged across the plaza, sounding particularly harsh.
Blackbeard Teach was escorted onto the platform by two executioners in white uniforms, each step causing his leg irons to clunk dully.
The morning light shone on his messy black curly hair, and his toothless mouth still bore an arrogant grin, as if it wasn't he who was about to be executed.
Fleet Admiral Sengoku, wearing his cloak of justice, looked down from the highest point of the execution platform at the man who had ignited the great pirate era.
Though his Golden Buddha form was not revealed, his imposing aura had already caused the air to congeal.
"Marshall D. Teach," Sengoku's voice echoed throughout Marine Headquarters via the Den Den Mushi, "Before the execution, speak your father's name."
Teach suddenly burst into a maniacal laughter, his chains rattling with his exaggerated movements.
"Zehahahahaha! I have no father!" He abruptly lifted his head, his bloodshot eyes gleaming with a beast-like light, "I reached this position entirely through my own ambition!"
Sengoku's gaze sharpened instantly, and he announced gravely into the loudspeaker: "According to confirmed Marine intelligence, your biological father is none other than Rocks D. Xebec, the overlord who dominated the seas forty years ago!"
These words struck the square like a thunderbolt, "The most evil bloodline flows within you!"
Gasps immediately rippled through the Marine ranks.
Although the Vice Admirals in the front row maintained their composure, their pupils involuntarily constricted; Vice Admiral Momonga's sword had unsheathed another inch; Onigumo also looked sideways, still feeling shocked even after hearing it again; even Doberman's scars on his face appeared more menacing due to his tensed muscles.
"Rocks's… bloodline?"
"That legendary madman who wanted to destroy the world?"
"What destroy the world, he wanted to become the King of the World!"
The whispers of the Marine soldiers spread like ripples through the formation, their grip on their guns unconsciously tightening.
On the execution platform, Teach's smile cracked for the first time, but quickly returned to its arrogant state: "Zehahahahaha… So what? I am who I am!"
His roar echoed through the square, the chains digging deep into his flesh with his excited movements, seeping dark red bloodstains.
Just as Sengoku's voice fell, the sea outside Marine Headquarters suddenly boiled.
Outside the Gates of Justice, which had been tightly surrounded by the Marines, a dense black fleet of pirates surged like a tide, with ferocious pirate flags fluttering from the mast of every ship.
"Rocks's bloodline?! It's finally confirmed!"
"Hahaha! This is going to be interesting, I wonder how many old-era pirates this will draw out!"
"Eternal Pose! Rocks definitely left an Eternal Pose!"
"What a load of nonsense! First, let that guy spill the beans about the treasure!"
"..."
The pirates' shouts rose and fell, spreading like wildfire among the fleet.
The name Rocks D. Xebec was like a sacred incantation in the ears of these desperadoes—the legend who had almost overthrown the World Government, the mad overlord whom Pirate King Roger had to ally with the Marines to fight.
Now, his bloodline was on the execution platform!
Suddenly, the distant sea horizon twisted strangely, and the clear sky was instantly covered by dark clouds, with thunderous roars faintly emanating from the thick cloud layers.
"That's…!" The pirates standing at the bow pointed in horror at the distance.
The sea surface suddenly rose into a gigantic mound of water, then exploded with a roar!
A colossal azure dragon broke through the waves, its winding body appearing and disappearing in the clouds.
"Wororororororo!!!" A deafening laughter accompanied by a dragon's roar echoed through the sky, "How can I miss this good show?!"
The Beasts Pirates' flagship, "Onigashima," emerged from behind the giant dragon, with dozens of warships fanned out.
The deck was filled with Gifters of various forms, clanging their weapons and howling like beasts.
King, the head of the All-Stars, spread his pitch-black wings and hovered in the air; Queen the Plague gnawed on a cigar, revealing a ferocious grin; Jack the Drought had already transformed into a giant mammoth, his long trunk almost reaching Sengoku's face.
"Get closer! Get closer for me!"
"Don't rush, Jack!"
"Let Kaido fly over first!"
"….."
A clear commotion erupted within the Marine ranks, cold sweat trickling down the soldiers' foreheads—the first to arrive was one of the Emperors!
"Kai… Kaido?!"
"How could an Emperor…."
"It seems this matter won't end easily today."
Fleet Admiral Sengoku's face was terribly grim; he should have known that the name Rocks would draw out all these monsters.
Teach on the execution platform laughed even more maniacally, his chains clanking as he struggled: "Zehahahahaha! It's getting livelier and livelier!"
The sea surface suddenly exploded with towering waves.
Kaido's massive azure dragon form was fully revealed before everyone; his azure scales gleamed with a metallic cold light under the sun, and his winding dragon body coiled upwards, each scale as large as a shield, his thick dragon claws capable of easily tearing apart warships.
His ferocious dragon head looked down on Marine Headquarters from above, and tyrannical flames burned in his golden vertical pupils.
"Wororororororo!!!"
A deafening dragon's roar accompanied by maniacal laughter reverberated through the sky. Kaido opened his gaping maw, and scorching energy condensed into a dazzling red light in his throat.
"Old man Sengoku! If you don't want me to blast this broken gate into dust with a single Boro Breath, then obediently open it for me!"
His dragon whiskers violently swayed with his roar, "Otherwise, with this one shot, you'll lose at least a hundred million Beri in military expenses!"
On the execution platform, Sengoku's veins bulged on his forehead, and his temples throbbed.
He stared intently at the arrogant giant dragon in the sky, his cloak of justice flapping wildly in the strong winds brought by the dragon's might.
"This damn drunkard…" Sengoku gritted his teeth and growled, his fists clenching with a cracking sound, "How could Marine Headquarters open the gates for pirates?!"
"Sengoku, this guy is truly reckless." Garp also looked grimly at the hundred-zhang giant dragon in mid-air.
Sengoku suddenly waved his hand: "All turrets, positions!" His voice instantly spread throughout the fortress via the Den Den Mushi, "Once that mad dragon dares to attack the Gates of Justice, immediately open fire!"
Marine Headquarters's defense system instantly activated; hundreds of heavy cannons on the city walls simultaneously adjusted their angles, their dark muzzles uniformly pointing at the giant dragon in the sky. Shells were rapidly loaded, and the gunners' fingers were tightly on the triggers, waiting only for the command.
"Whoa, whoa, things aren't looking good…" Onigumo's mechanical arm twitched uneasily, "If a real fight breaks out… how can these small soldiers stop them?"
Doberman's scars twisted on his face: "What's there to be afraid of! It's a good chance to take care of this mad dragon too!"
