*HUFF…* *HUFF…* *HUFF…*
"Haah…That…was a struggle."
I put my hand on the wall to support myself as I tried to get my breath back.
Let me tell you, running a marathon right after fighting one of the strongest enemies I've faced up to now is one hell of a scene change.
I was now inside the ruins; right outside the entrance.
It took me around 6 seconds to run from where I was at to here.
Hopefully, I was just in time for the optional quest to complete.
I checked it and…
…
…
…It's not there.
W-well, maybe it's just hidden, and it's still actually there, y'know?
Like, even if the main quest was complete, the optional quest can still be done.
Surely that's the case, right?
Ha-ha.
…
…
…Let's get a move on.
As I walked the ruins, I observed the walls and features it had.
Suffice to say, it was rather…nondescript, to say the least.
No flashy sculptures or paintings or statues or anything.
Just walls.
Maybe if I flashed a black light on it, it might show something, but I don't have that power, so, meh.
Venturing deeper in, I was met with a single room.
A vast one, that had an open ceiling.
Yet, I didn't see the familiar grim, grey sky of the inner Quietus forest.
Instead, it was…a vibrant scene.
Mystical, even.
One similar to the part of Quietus forest that I'm familiar with; the outer rim.
It felt more like a mirror to another world.
And right below that ceiling, was an orb.
The orb felt strange.
Mysterious.
Yet, so very enticing.
It's like it was calling for me; like I was meant to touch it.
I inched further and further, feeling my desire for it grow stronger.
Until, finally, I touched it and—
My vision fades to black.
