Chapter 91 - Chapter 85

"Ding dong!"

"An unowned item has been detected — Ark Reactor (Incomplete Generation) (10). Will the host convert it into points?"

Harry didn't answer immediately. He took out his phone from his trouser pocket, scanned the Ark Reactor, then sent the result to Tony's mailbox.

"Tony, I'll take this. I promise I won't leak it to anyone. I'm heading out first. I believe you'll figure out your condition."

After speaking, Harry said silently in his mind: Convert.

"Ding dong!"

"Conversion successful. The host now has 145 remaining points."

With a light tap of his palm, the Ark Reactor vanished.

Harry smiled faintly. The extra points made him feel quite pleased.

He walked over to the dazed Happy and patted him on the shoulder.

"Ah!" Happy jolted violently, his dull, frightened eyes coming back to life as he stared at Harry.

"Happy, you… Tony's bodyguard… doesn't seem up to standard." Harry chuckled, lips pursed.

"Mr. Osborne— oh! Thank you, thank you for saving me," Happy said excitedly as soon as he recognized Harry. He didn't know what had happened just now, but Harry was clearly the only one capable of something like that.

"You're welcome." Harry shrugged with boredom. Happy hadn't reacted in the teasing way he'd expected, but Harry had other matters to deal with and no time to linger.

"I'm leaving first, Happy. Tony's fine, he just passed out. Tell him to check his mailbox—the information he wants is in there. I've got somewhere to go, so I'll head out."

Harry brushed past Happy, crouched, and leaped upward. Lightning wrapped around his body in an instant, and he shot into the sky.

Unlike Happy, who was still rattled, the others who were not affected stared up at the figure rising into the air. They only lowered their heads once Harry vanished completely, each of their faces showing stunned expressions that promised new rumors would spread quickly.

...

With his new technique, Harry's flying speed was slightly faster than before. Although much of his mental power had been consumed by the Phoenix Force, the current amount actually felt just right for him.

By now, Harry had flown high and far, and his speed gradually slowed.

With focused will, a soft blue light formed quietly under his feet. Harry stepped onto it, pulled out his phone again, and found the number he wanted.

He dialed.

"Hello, Mr. Osborne?" A gentle, polite voice answered.

"Yes, Agent Coulson," Harry replied.

"I'm heading to your location. Send the exact coordinates to my phone."

Harry's destination was New Mexico, where Thor's hammer had fallen, and where Thor himself had followed.

He remembered that Thor descended somewhere in New Mexico, but the precise location was unclear. Fortunately, SHIELD had maintained friendly contact with him, and because Harry's power was noteworthy, they had invited him to assist in the operation.

And this time, there were indeed several things Harry wanted from Thor's arrival. Even though he knew his chances weren't high, he still intended to try.

"Understood, Mr. Osborne. With your involvement, this incident will proceed smoothly," Coulson said.

"Mm."

Harry hung up.

Coulson worked quickly. Soon, the map arrived on Harry's phone.

The platform of light under Harry's feet dissipated with a thought, and he shot forward again, flying toward the horizon.

...

New Mexico.

At the entrance of a quiet, isolated town, two stern men in suits leaned against their car with folded arms. They occasionally checked their watches, as if waiting for someone.

This sight alone was enough to draw curiosity in such an unremarkable town. People passing by looked at them, unsure, but no one approached. Anyone with sense could tell from the bulges at the men's waists that they were armed.

"What are you two doing?"

A voice finally asked.

It belonged to a patrol officer. He had heard talk about something strange happening at the town entrance while eating at the diner, so he hurried over to ask questions.

This small town had always been peaceful, rarely lively, and nothing unusual had ever happened — until Thor's hammer suddenly fell from the sky. That single incident broke the quiet life of the town. People came from nearby areas to see the hammer no one could lift, and for a short while, the town even prospered. But after SHIELD intervened, everything returned to its ordinary state.

Perhaps because life was too quiet, officers here tended to become either lazy or overly righteous, with nowhere to direct their energy — and this officer clearly belonged to the latter type.

"We're on your side," one of the suited men said helplessly, frowning slightly as he saw the patrolman reaching for his holster.

"Hold on."

The other suited man opened the car door, retrieved two identification badges, and handed them over.

"Oh! Sorry, brothers." The officer checked them, nodded, and returned the IDs with an apologetic grin, scratching his head.

He clearly lacked experience. He never questioned why genuine IDs were kept in the car instead of on their persons, nor did he notice how suspicious that was.

"It's fine." One man took the badge back, while the other chuckled.

"I won't disturb your work then." The patrolman nodded repeatedly and headed toward the nearby townspeople who were watching. Harry couldn't hear what he said, but soon the townspeople looked at the suited men with surprise before quickly scattering.

The two men exchanged confused looks. They had no idea what had just happened.

"Is that who the chief mentioned?"

Just then, one of them caught a flash of light approaching from far away. He turned to look.

His companion followed his gaze, recalling the briefing they'd received before arriving, and found himself momentarily stunned.
