Chapter 100 - Chapter 94

Unlike Earth, where criminals appear every day and superheroes like Spider-Man constantly fight for justice, Asgard remained exceptionally calm. Even the war that had been on the verge of breaking out with the Frost Giants had quieted. For the past few days, not a single ripple stirred.

"Our best friend has been exiled, Loki is sitting on the throne, and Asgard is about to face a war…"

Fandral walked with visible agitation, his tone a mix of anxiety and anger as he shouted at his companion: "But you— you actually ate four roasted boars, six pheasants, half a cow, and drank two barrels of beer! What a disgrace…! Do you truly not care?!"

Bang!

The more he spoke, the more furious he grew. With a flick of his hand, he slapped the boar leg out of Volstagg's hand and glared coldly.

"Don't think I don't care just because I eat!" Volstagg snapped back, turning around with surprising speed and facing Fandral head-on.

Fandral answered with a cold smile. Their eyes collided fiercely, and both almost raised their hands.

"Enough, both of you!"

Sif stepped in between them, forcing their clash apart. "Stop arguing. We all know what we must do."

Hogun also stepped in behind her, his voice steady and low. "We have to go."

At his words, the three—Sif, Fandral, Volstagg—glanced at him, then at each other. Their expressions carried a mixture of hesitation and impulsive resolve. Clearly, they had been thinking the same thing.

"We must find Thor and bring him back," Hogun said again.

"That's treason," Fandral muttered through clenched teeth.

Volstagg's eye twitched. "Forget treason—this is suicide."

"Thor would do the same for us."

Sif inhaled sharply, her face resolute. "We have to go."

"Lower your voices." Volstagg stiffened. "Heimdall may be watching us."

Boom!

The golden door of the chamber suddenly swung open.

A guard stood tall in the doorway, spear in hand. His tone carried no emotion as he said, "Heimdall wants to see you."

The guard left immediately.

"Oh, we're finished…"

...

Inside the Bifrost chamber, Heimdall stood straight as a spear. His eyes examined the four before him, his expression unreadable, his tone sharp.

"To bring Thor back, are you willing to defy King Loki's command? Break your every oath? Commit treason?"

Sif's face had never been more solemn. She nodded without hesitation. "Yes."

"You're… willing to help us?" Fandral asked in disbelief.

Heimdall did not answer. Instead, he stepped aside and walked out of the Bifrost activation palace, his back turned, leaving behind only one sentence:

"I must remain loyal to the king. I cannot open the Bifrost for you."

"He's such a complicated man," Fandral muttered.

Volstagg frowned deeply. "Then what do we do now?"

"Look!"

At first confused, Sif suddenly sensed something. Her eyes shifted toward the Bifrost—her expression instantly lighting up.

Brilliant, multicolored light erupted from the activation device. The radiance was intense—like a volcanic eruption, like the blazing sun itself. It expanded from a point into a sweeping wave of brilliance, overflowing brighter than daylight.

On a distant balcony in the grand palace, Loki watched the burst of light, his face darkening with fury.

He spun and strode back inside, voice cold and sharp: "You force my hand."

Boom!

...

Outside Puente Antiguo, New Mexico.

Four armored figures appeared—

At their feet, a circle formed of mysterious symbols: a magic array.

They stepped out of it. Sif surveyed the surroundings and said firmly, "Thor is nearby. We must find him and bring him back to Asgard."

"Let's move."

...

"What was that just now?" Harry suddenly turned his head, eyes narrowing as if seeing something far beyond the horizon.

Roughly ten miles away, the magnetic field in the sky had burst downward violently, striking the ground. Even standing here, Harry felt a faint tremor through his refined perception.

"Mr. Osborne, something happened ten miles out. We need to check it. Are you coming?"

Phil Coulson knocked twice before pushing the door open.

"I'm not going. You go. Did you arrange everything I said?" Harry answered while pulling his clothes from the hanger and straightening them.

"Yes. Our people have covertly evacuated most civilians under the excuse of a newly discovered epidemic. There shouldn't be many left now. Thor and his friends remain, of course."

Coulson spoke slowly as they walked out.

"That's fine. You head over there. I'll visit the town and check on Thor."

"Wait—hold on." Coulson lifted a hand, then pressed his headset.

"What is it?" he asked into the earpiece.

...

Sif and her group walked openly through the streets of Puente Antiguo.

Their armor gleamed with a medieval metallic weight, radiating a fierce aura that demanded attention. Anyone timid would be overwhelmed by the sheer force of their presence—some might even faint.

An agent stationed on a rooftop spotted them.

"Hey, are they having some medieval festival in town?" he asked, confused.

His partner, holding a burger, replied dryly, "Call it in."

...

"Sir, we're seeing Princess Xena, Jackie Chan, and… um… Robin Hood," the agent reported nervously through the radio.

"…Alright. I heard you."

Coulson froze for a moment, then cut the line.

"Our people say they spotted Princess Xena and Robin Hood…" Coulson repeated to Harry, his expression twisted.

"Oh?"

Harry raised a brow, rolled his eyes with a strange look, and then smiled lightly.

"I know who they are. Alright—go ahead with the original plan. But be careful. Get out as soon as you finish documenting the site."

With that, Harry stepped into the S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle.
